As Qin Xu had anticipated, this dosage of dicine posed no threat to Zhouzhou. She even yawned out of boredom.

How dull it was -- why couldn't these villains co up with sothing new? Such a ager amount of knockout drugs, and they dared to roam about?

They had the audacity to use it; she felt embarrassed to even respond. It was utterly degrading.

She had outgrown such things by the age of two. However, for the sake of money, boredom was tolerable, so she decided to play along with them.

The vehicle swayed for over an hour before stopping in front of a house. A man ca to the back seat and dragged the children out.

Seizing his mont of distraction, Zhouzhou glanced around and widened her eyes. There were more than a few people here!

Judging by the aura inside, there were at least twenty or thirty people, not counting those outside.

Zhouzhou's brows furrowed tightly, and a hint of vigilance appeared in her eyes. These people seed different from those she had encountered before.

Nonetheless, they were undoubtedly up to no good. With this thought, Zhouzhou's heart sank further. Hearing footsteps approaching, she quickly closed her eyes.

Soon, a man with a cigarette in his mouth erged from the room. Seeing the children in the man's hand, he laughed.

"Well done, Second Brother, you've brought back more goods." He walked over and lifted Zhouzhou's chin, inspecting her like rchandise.

His gaze and touch made Zhouzhou wish she could chop off his hand. However, given the unclear situation, she restrained her anger and remained still.

"Lock them up first, starve them for a few days, and see if they behave. If they don't, beat them," said Er Lai coldly, devoid of emotion.

The man showed no surprise, as if accustod to it, grinning as he took Zhouzhou and the others.

"Don't worry, I'm good at this," he said, with a hint of pride. He carried Zhouzhou and the others into a room, tossed them to the ground, and humd a tune as he left.

Once his footsteps faded, Zhouzhou discreetly reached into her bag and pulled out a Soul Nourishing Talisman, flicking it onto the surveillance cara.

The evil spirit, initially drowsy, suddenly felt lighter and awoke with a start. Seeing Zhouzhou's gesture, it understood imdiately, covering the cara with its face and giving her a knowing look.

"Little Celestial Master, don't worry. I got this!" Zhouzhou trusted this entirely. Even if those people barged in, they wouldn't last a minute against her.

Her concern lay with the others. Glancing around, her face changed. In the dim room lay many people, both young and old, all bearing injuries.

So were beaten to the brink of death, so missing an eye, others a limb, all brutally maid.

They lay there with hollow eyes, exuding a despair that weighed heavily on the heart. Zhouzhou looked at them in disbelief, her fingertips trembling.

Just how evil were these people?

Approaching the nearest boy, who appeared about seventeen or eighteen, with his arm limp at his side, staring at the ceiling, he startled when a warm little hand touched his arm.

He flinched, thinking it was one of the captors, but a small hand covered his mouth. "Shh," Zhouzhou gestured for silence.

"Don't be afraid, brother, I'm here to save you." The boy, looking at the little girl, was stunned. "You must leave," he urged, panicked.

Those n were devils. Zhouzhou shook her head gently and pulled out a soundproofing talisman, placing it on the door.

Now they couldn't be heard from outside.

"Brother Dafu, help support him," Zhouzhou said, and Qin Er opened his eyes, unperturbed. With Zhouzhou around, the ones who should be worried were not them.

He stepped forward and did as Zhouzhou instructed. The boy looked at them, bewildered. How did they wake up so quickly?

When he had arrived, it had taken him a day and a night to regain consciousness. Suddenly, a crunching sound ca from his arm, making him sweat with pain and cry out.

Realizing what he had done, he quickly covered his mouth, urging Zhouzhou and Qin Er to pretend to be unconscious. If the captors heard them, they'd be beaten. He grew more anxious.

Zhouzhou, however, remained calm, reassuring him. "Don't worry, brother, I'm very good at fighting." The boy eyed her slight fra, skeptical.

Zhouzhou didn't elaborate, changing the topic. "Brother, does your arm still hurt?" The boy moved his arm slightly, eyes widening in surprise—it no longer hurt! How had she done that?

He looked at Zhouzhou incredulously. "I told you, I'm very capable," she said with a smile, moving on to the next person.

The injuries were severe. Without tily treatnt, they could be crippled. The others, drawn by the commotion, watched Zhouzhou work.

Initially numb and expressionless, hope began to glimr in their eyes as their wounds healed. Could it be they had finally found their savior? But seeing Zhouzhou's small figure, they hesitated.

Could such a young girl handle those villains? Ignoring their doubts, Zhouzhou focused on treating the injured.

So had superficial wounds, but others had lost limbs or organs, bleeding profusely.

Zhouzhou furrowed her brow deeply as she approached the most critically injured person.

He was wearing only a rudintary bandage around his waist, already soaked with blood. His face was ghostly pale from excessive bleeding.

Zhouzhou placed her chubby little hand on his pulse, her expression shifting slightly. Without hesitation, she swiftly popped a pill into his mouth and quickly inserted a golden needle into his body.

Qin Er watched this scene with a furrowed brow.

He turned to the boy Zhouzhou had saved first, who was now in the best condition among them. He asked, "How many of them are there in total?"

"There are many," the boy gasped, leaning against the wall. "Probably seven or eight. They all carry knives."

He said this hoping they would leave quickly. Though it was clear they were skilled, they were still just kids, and those n were fierce. What if they couldn't fight them off?

To his surprise, rather than showing fear, the two of them exchanged glances and even seed excited.

Excited???

Had they lost their minds?
