Seeing her actions, Luo Jin's lips twitched, and the two n in black were also at a loss for words.

Was this chubby little girl really the one their hall master fancied? What for? Her youth? Or her penchant for acting spoiled?

Zhouzhou paid them no mind. Smiling, she tucked away the copper coins, patted Luo Jin's shoulder, and signaled for them to make way.

Luo Jin, who always disliked the Enforcer Hall mbers, couldn't be bothered with their nonsense and simply lifted his leg to leave.

But after taking just two steps, a weak voice sounded behind him, "A'Jin..."

Luo Jin's eyelids trembled slightly, but he did not turn around.

Zhouzhou looked back and saw Qingyang being supported by two Taoists, almost devoid of strength, his thin fra leaning against them, trembling as he walked.

She shook her head, thinking that if he had known it would co to this, he wouldn't have acted as he did before.

"A'Jin." Seeing him about to leave, Qingyang hurriedly tried to catch up, forgetting his own frailty, and stumbled forward.

Fortunately, the two Taoists quickly caught him, preventing him from falling flat on the ground.

Even so, he was half-collapsed on the ground, desperately trying to reach Luo Jin, his eyes filled with a sorrowful urgency.

Zhouzhou turned to Luo Jin and whispered in his ear, "Brother Fox, if sothing happens to him today, will he bla us?"

The people in this Taoist temple seed quite unreasonable. She couldn't afford to suffer any losses.

Thinking this, Zhouzhou imdiately struggled out of his embrace, lay down on the ground, and clutched her heart, her eyes fixed on Qingyang's direction. If they dared to say anything, she would shout at once.

Seeing this, Luo Jin's mouth twitched again. He couldn't fathom what went on in her little head all day. He lifted her up and turned to face Qingyang, his expression much calr.

"What do you want?" he asked coolly.

Qingyang looked at him, his lips trembling, and asked, "Was it really not you who made the Luck Change Talisman back then?"

Hearing this, Luo Jin sneered, the once warm mories fading away. He stared at him, not bothering to respond.

Zhouzhou wrinkled her little nose and couldn't help but say, "Grandson, are you deaf? How many tis have we told you, it wasn't your Grandpa Fox!"

The little chubby girl was furious, hands on her hips, glaring at him. Luo Jin's brow furrowed with a hint of pleasure at her words. What Grandpa Fox—only she would emphasize seniority like that.

Noticing Shouren watching nervously, Luo Jin glanced at him and said to the Enforcer Hall mbers, "There, that's the one you want."

The n in black had already noticed Shouren. His mixed aura marked him as no upright person.

Sensing their gaze, Shouren panicked and tried to flee, but they were quicker, pinning him to the ground in a few swift moves. Their skills made Zhouzhou's eyes light up.

Unlike Qingyang's subjective judgnt, these n focused on evidence. They interrogated Shouren and searched his room, soon finding several old Luck Change Talismans. The darkened colors showed their age.

Seeing these talismans, Shouren's face changed, and he quickly defended himself, "I didn't draw those!"

The n ignored him, opened the talisman paper, and upon seeing the marks, glanced at Luo Jin. Luo Jin remained composed, as if he had expected this.

He chuckled lightly, "Of course, you didn't draw them. With your pea-sized brain, how could you? I didn't expect Senior Brother to cherish the trash I casually discarded back then. I'm truly touched."

Shouren's face stiffened, his expression twitching with hatred. Humiliation! It was utter humiliation!

He glared at Luo Jin, suddenly drawing a dagger from his sleeve and lunging at him, "Luo Jin, you're dead!"

His movents were swift, the dagger glinting coldly. Qingyang paled in fright, but Luo Jin remained calm, not even flinching.

Just as the dagger was about to strike, a chubby foot kicked Shouren in the stomach, sending him flying like a broken kite, crashing into the wall, stuck fast.

With a light snort, Zhouzhou leisurely retracted her foot, patted her chubby paw, and glared at Shouren, "Did you think I wasn't here? How dare you bully my Brother Fox? You're the one asking for death!"

This move stunned everyone present. Qingyang clutched his chest, wide-eyed in disbelief. As he watched, Zhouzhou's gaze swept over him.

The little girl glared at him, saying, "You fool, think about what treasures you can offer to compensate my Grandpa Fox. Do you think you can wrong my family without consequence? I won't allow it!"

With a wave of her small hand, she addressed the n in black, "Uncle Foolish, please thoroughly investigate the bad deeds this villain has committed. Thank you for your hard work."

The Law Enforcer Hall mbers: "..."

Polite, but not too much. She asked them to do the work and called them Uncle Foolish. Was that appropriate? Rembering Wen Jing's protectiveness, they dared not voice their complaints, fearing she'd report them.

Swallowing their frustration, their gaze turned fierce as they looked at Shouren. It was all his fault. If not for his misdeeds, they wouldn't be here.

Without giving him a chance to argue, they searched further, finding several bank cards with amounts far beyond a Taoist's ans.

Now Qingyang understood the truth. The talismans were not Luo Jin's work, but Shouren had used them! He had wronged Luo Jin all those years ago.

Trembling, he looked at Shouren with pained eyes, "Why? Why did you do it?"

He had always thought Shouren was a good child, respectful and caring towards his junior disciples.

He had even considered passing the position of temple master to him. Though his abilities were lacking, he seed honest. But now, it felt like a slap to the face.

What honesty? It was all a joke! He had calculated against his fellow disciples and frad Luo Jin!

Seeing the truth exposed, Shouren let out a low, mad laugh, his dark nature fully revealed. He no longer pretended.

"Why? You ask why? Why should he have more talent than ? Why should he learn faster? I was the first to join this temple!"

What twisted logic! Just because Luo Jin was more talented, he had to harm him?

For a mont, Qingyang felt he was seeing Shouren for the first ti, unable to believe his own eyes. Slowly, his eyes filled with disappointnt as he turned to apologize to his little disciple.

"Sorry..." he began, but his voice trailed off abruptly.

Zhouzhou had sohow dragged Luo Jin to sit under a tree. The two of them, one big and one small, leaned against the tree, legs crossed, leisurely cracking lon seeds.

Zhouzhou then pulled out a large waterlon from her bag, split it with a hand chop, and gave half to Luo Jin.

Their faces sticky with waterlon juice, they looked completely at ease, like they were on vacation. Noticing his gaze, Zhouzhou looked over.

Rembering the business at hand, she quickly swallowed her waterlon, tugged at Luo Jin's arm, and said slyly, "Brother Fox, you weren't lying. Soone really is jealous of you."
