As soon as Zhouzhou noticed Divine Thunder's intentions, she quickly reacted, ducking down and bolting away at top speed, clutching her head as she ran.
After covering so distance, she turned around and scowled at him, "Mr. Divine Thunder, what are you doing? Why are you scaring again!"
Divine Thunder wasn't rely trying to scare her this ti—he really was about to strike!
"Three days without a beating, and you'd tear the roof off, huh?" It muttered, its rage building up.
Zhouzhou stuck her tongue out cheekily and stuck her tongue out at it in defiance, playfully mocking, "Heh heh, try !" before taking off again.
She ran for a while, then paused. A more serious expression crossed her face.
It seed that Mr. Divine Thunder knew sothing about her father and the Ancestral Master. Otherwise, with the kind of long-standing relationship they had, it would have warned her if sothing were amiss.
She was certain now: her abilities hadn't vanished; she simply couldn't divine her father's situation. She could still predict for others, no problem. It was just when it ca to her family... things weren't quite adding up.
Could it be the Heavenly Dao that was ssing with her? She had considered the possibility of being sched against, but with her skill set, she couldn't believe anyone could outmatch her. And it didn't seem likely anyone would target her father and the Ancestral Master, especially with her father's rits.
She had even called her teacher, asking about the Daoist Temple, and everything seed fine.
This left only one explanation: the Heavenly Dao was behind it. But why? And what was it hiding? She wasn't sure yet, but one thing was for sure: this wasn't a coincidence.
With that thought in mind, Zhouzhou relaxed her shoulders slightly. At least she now had a direction to focus on. No matter what the Heavenly Dao had planned, it wouldn't harm her. She was a good person, after all!
With renewed determination, her mischievous side began to kick in. If they wanted to play gas with her, then fine—she'd play along!
When Divine Thunder returned, it found Zhouzhou already at her designated military training team, ready to get started.
As it stood there, it couldn't help but sigh. Ever since Zhouzhou's enrollnt, Qin Lie and the principal had been debating over her placent. They quickly realized that Zhouzhou was exceptionally gifted—she'd learned more in a few years than most teachers had in a lifeti.
They couldn't limit her to one field of study, so they decided to let her choose freely what to study. They'd simply place her in the university's top finance program, as she seed particularly keen on earning money.
That was, of course, Qin Lie's hope as well. His company always needed successors, and he naturally hoped his precious daughter would step up. But for now, Zhouzhou wasn't ready to take over, so they'd let her decide her own future.
The finance departnt seed like a perfect fit, though there was one downside: the departnt was full of n, and many of them were the kind of guys who would try to take advantage of her.
The mont Zhouzhou entered, she caught the attention of many boys, most of whom recognized her as the one who had crushed a block of iron after rejecting a confession just the day before.
But to their surprise, they weren't intimidated. Instead, they thought, She's aloof, but maybe we can be the one to break through that cold exterior.
One particularly bold guy adjusted his freshly styled hair, swayed over to Zhouzhou, and with a smug grin, tried to impress her with a cocky pose. "Hey there, beautiful. Want to add on WeChat?"
Zhouzhou, who had been lost in thought, looked up and was imdiately hit with the greasy, self-satisfied grin of the "Mr. Cheeky." She recoiled, disgusted, feeling as though she had just been thrown into a frying pan.
"Ugh, gross," she muttered under her breath.
Mr. Cheeky, noticing her hesitation, smirked. "What, you're not going to talk to ?"
Before she could answer, he reached out, attempting to wrap an arm around her.
Divine Thunder was livid. If Ye Lingfeng ca back and saw Zhouzhou being harassed like this, the whole situation would blow up. But, before Divine Thunder could intervene, Zhouzhou had already taken matters into her own hands.
With a swift move, she grabbed his wrist and perford a perfect shoulder throw. The poor guy was sent spinning through the air before crashing onto the ground with a thud, leaving him dizzy and disoriented.
Zhouzhou stood over him, her expression dripping with disdain. She scanned the surrounding boys, flexing her fingers. "Anyone else want to add on WeChat?"
The guys who had been eyeing her shrank back, taking several steps away from her, their faces pale.
Mr. Cheeky, however, looked up from the ground with a renewed interest. Now this is a challenge I can get behind!
He dragged himself up, his confidence still intact, and shot her an even more disgusting grin. "Well, that's more like it! You've got so spirit, huh?"
Just as he was about to open his mouth again, Divine Thunder couldn't take it anymore. It unleashed a thunderbolt straight at him.
A sizzling sound filled the air, and Mr. Cheeky was instantly engulfed in sparks, his hair standing on end and turning an ashen black.
Zhouzhou's eyes widened before she burst out laughing. "You okay there?"
Mr. Cheeky managed to sputter out, "I'm fine," even as smoke poured from his mouth.
Zhouzhou shook her head with a deep sigh, trying to stifle her giggles. "Well, you've been struck by lightning. If anyone still wants to add on WeChat, maybe you should check if you can survive this divine thunder first."
She pulled out her phone and waved it at the group of boys, who imdiately scattered in fear.
By the ti the teacher arrived, the chaos had already died down, but the boys were still in disarray. "What's going on here?" the teacher asked, alard. "Get the doctor!"
The doctor quickly arrived, examined Mr. Cheeky, and confird he was fine—just a little singed and with so unfixable hair.
As the doctor shaved his head, he muttered, "Well, at least you're all set for monkhood now. Just... be more careful next ti."
Mr. Cheeky looked absolutely defeated, but his reputation soon took a turn. Word spread like wildfire that Zhouzhou was cursed—whoever got close to her would be struck by lightning.
Those who hadn't been scared off by her iron block trick were now thoroughly terrified by Divine Thunder's wrath.
Divine Thunder, satisfied with its work, finally cald down, only to hear Zhouzhou teasing, "Mr. Divine Thunder, why do you strike people so recklessly? Be careful, or you'll get in trouble!"
Divine Thunder crackled in response, irritated by her lack of appreciation. It's all for you, and this is the thanks I get?
