"Zhouzhou?" Qin Bei froze, looking in surprise at the person standing in the doorway.
Zhouzhou quickly walked up, snatched the cup from his hand, and threw it on the ground.
Lan Rourou, seeing this, flickered her eyes montarily before speaking with a hint of grievance, "Qin Bei, who is this? Why did she spill the wine?"
With her innocent and delicate appearance, she looked incredibly endearing, easily invoking sympathy.
At that mont, many of the people around them turned their attention to Zhouzhou, so of them appearing quite displeased.
Qin Bei, noticing the looks, imdiately stepped in front of Zhouzhou, protecting her. Although he didn't understand why Zhouzhou had done this, he trusted that she had her reasons.
He spoke with confidence, "If Zhouzhou doesn't want to drink it, then the wine must be poisoned."
Hearing this, Lan Rourou's expression of grievance deepened. "Qin Bei, are you saying that I'm trying to harm you?"
Qin Bei replied, "I don't know if you'd try to harm , but Zhouzhou would never harm ."
Zhouzhou's heart ward hearing this.
Her Sixth Brother may not be the sharpest, but he at least knew who to stand by.
She peeked her head from behind him and looked at Lan Rourou, "You didn't poison it, did you?"
Lan Rourou was slightly relieved, inwardly thinking, What a fool, she just gave herself away.
She put on a helpless expression, "It's fine. The wine spilled, so we'll just pour another cup."
It was a waste of that Love Bug she bought, though. She'd have to buy another one.
Zhouzhou, however, spoke slowly, "It's not poisoned, but it does have an Love Bug in it."
Imdiately, Lan Rourou froze, then quickly reacted, her eyes widening in disbelief. She feigned innocence, "What do you an by that? I don't understand."
Zhouzhou scoffed, rolling her eyes.
She used to these kinds of acts when she was in elentary school.
She was tired of them!
Without further ado, Zhouzhou flicked a fire talisman from her fingers, tossing it straight into the wine.
Flas erupted instantly.
Before Lan Rourou could even react, Zhouzhou quickly grabbed a cup of tea from the table and poured it over the flas, extinguishing them. A corpse of a bug appeared before everyone's eyes.
"My God, what is that!" Qin Bei jumped in shock, quickly stepping behind Zhouzhou.
Zhouzhou turned her head slightly, giving him a comforting glance. "Don't worry, Sixth Brother. It's just the Love Bug. Don't you think it slls nice now?"
"Sll nice?!"
The thought of nearly drinking it made Qin Bei's skin crawl.
He shot a angry glare at Lan Rourou, "I knew it. You're up to no good!"
It was lucky that he had trusted Zhouzhou's words.
There was an unspoken rule among the Qin family: they could ignore anyone else's words, but Zhouzhou's? That was sacred.
Though Zhouzhou liked to play pranks on them, when it ca to serious matters, she never joked around.
So when it ca to big matters, Zhouzhou's word was law.
Qin Bei let out a deep sigh of relief.
It was a good thing he had Zhouzhou on his side.
He tightly gripped one of Zhouzhou's arms, feeling slightly safer with her by his side.
Zhouzhou noticed his fear but didn't say anything. Instead, she turned to Lan Rourou and scoffed, "Don't think that just because you give Sixth Brother the Love Bug, he's going to turn into a lovestruck fool and hand everything to you. Even if he does beco one, Grandma will kick him out. You two will end up on the streets! He won't even be able to beg for food, and you'll end up having to take care of him."
Qin Bei eagerly nodded, "That's right, that's right!"
Halfway through, he suddenly realized sothing was off.
Wait, how did it go from talking about a bug to an assault targeting him?!
He shot Zhouzhou a look full of grievance but had to admit she was right.
Did she think she could manipulate him just because she had a hold on him? Not a chance.
He was just another man in the Qin family, insignificant.
Thinking about it, Qin Bei beca a little proud, smugly saying, "Ha, too bad for you. You wasted your ti for nothing."
As long as he wasn't worth anything, even if she turned him into a puppet, she wouldn't be able to get anything from him.
He'd rather starve on the streets than drag his family down!
He was protecting them in his own way.
Hearing this, Lan Rourou's expression shifted.
Zhouzhou had exposed her, and while she had managed to hold it together for a while, she was now visibly flustered, almost breaking. She retorted, "What's there to be proud of?"
Is this supposed to be so kind of honor?
Why had she wasted so much ti on this fool?
Regret flooded her mind, and that's all she could think about.
Qin Bei, hearing this, beca upset. "Oh, you dare insult ? Zhouzhou, call Forth Brother here and have her arrested!"
Qin Bei was fuming, ready to jump up in anger.
Zhouzhou paused, but then thought, Well, she's not wrong, but it's probably better not to make a scene.
There were too many outsiders here, so it wouldn't look good if she embarrassed Sixth Brother.
With that in mind, she took out her phone and called Qin Xi.
It didn't take long for Qin Xi to arrive, smiling broadly. "Another day of harvest because of my sister!"
Seeing the police arrive, Lan Rourou truly panicked.
She imdiately began to explain, "You're making things up! There's just a bug on the ground! Why are you trying to arrest ? You can't convict !"
By the end of her statent, she had regained her composure.
That's right. There's no law against putting an Love Bug in soone's drink.
Even if they had evidence, they couldn't do anything to her.
Zhouzhou frowned slightly and looked at Qin Xi.
Qin Xi nodded slightly, confirming her thoughts.
Indeed, the existing law didn't apply to mysterious stuffs, and things like Love Bugs couldn't be written into the legal code without acknowledging their existence.
Looking at Lan Rourou's smug expression, Zhouzhou clenched her fist tightly.
It seed clear now that the establishnt of a specialized organization was urgent!
Otherwise, if they encountered another situation like this, and the law couldn't touch them, they'd just continue wreaking havoc!
That couldn't be allowed to happen.
She turned to Qin Xi, "Forth Brother, arrest her and detain her for a few days."
Lan Rourou scoffed, "This isn't following the proper procedure. Wait until my lawyer cos!"
Call your lawyer? Zhouzhou thought. Who doesn't know how to call a lawyer?
Zhouzhou, for the first ti in years, was being openly provoked like this.
She sneered and imdiately took out her phone, calling Qin Lie.
"Dad, can I borrow your legal team?"
After hanging up, she pulled out a laptop from her bag and began typing furiously, occasionally exclaiming in surprise.
"Wow, you intentionally cut the wire rope, causing soone to fall and break their leg. Fortunately, they didn't die!"
"Look at you, evading taxes."
"You even encouraged fans to engage in illegal fundraising."
"You..."
Each sentence caused Lan Rourou to shiver, her eyes widening in disbelief. How could she possibly know about all this?
She had made sure to cover everything up so well!
Zhouzhou looked up at her, a sweet, innocent smile playing on her lips. "So, can we arrest you now?"
