The father and daughter rode in silence all the way back to the temple. As soon as they returned, Zhouzhou dashed to her room and collapsed into bed. The next morning, she was abruptly pulled out of bed by her relentless master.

"Co on, hurry up, ti to work!"

"We've already thanked Yiyun, and we can't leave things hanging. We need to get the job done quickly!"

Zhouzhou groggily opened her eyes, staring at his face full of resentnt. With a sulk, she muttered, "Master, do you know why I didn't grow to seven ters tall?"

Li Yuanming glanced at her and replied, "Because you woke up from the dream, that's why."

Seven ters tall? What is she even talking about?

Zhouzhou huffed loudly, "It's because you keep pestering ! I can't sleep well because of you two, that's why I didn't grow tall! Otherwise, how could I be stuck at only one ter sixty-seven? It's so embarrassing to even ntion it!"

Who in the world would sign up for sothing like this?

It's all their fault! These two old n just keep bullying , a little girl!

Seeing her grumble, Li Yuanming couldn't help but laugh.

However, no sympathy stirred in his heart. He kept pushing her as if nothing had happened, "Hurry up! Don't dawdle, the incense patrons are waiting."

Zhouzhou sighed deeply and slapped her leg, looking up at the sky. "Why is my life so tough?"

Li Yuanming didn't care for her dramatic antics. He simply grabbed her and dragged her out. With no choice, Zhouzhou grumbled and splashed so cold water on her face. After a few pats to wake herself up, she let out a long breath. Ti to work!

Her master may be quite shaless, but he was right about one thing: Yiyun Master had already helped them co up with an idea and shared the thod. Zhouzhou had to do her part to repay him. If she wanted to make so serious money, she had to work hard.

She really wanted to beco a rich woman, and that dream was already consuming her thoughts.

Since Zhouzhou had failed to grow to seven ters tall, she definitely couldn't fail in becoming a rich woman.

With that thought, Zhouzhou's expression beca serious. Though she hadn't spent much ti studying taphysics, she had earned a lot of rits from the tasks she'd completed for Ancestral Master. The Sanqing Temple was becoming more and more prosperous.

Zhouzhou found a spot in the front hall. Li Yuanming had already arranged a table and chairs for her and asked the incense patrons to co over if they were interested in having their fortunes read.

Curious people soon gathered around her. Since she was at the temple, Zhouzhou didn't charge any money for her services. Even if the patrons wanted to give sothing, it would go into the rit box as incense offering, not to her personally.

It didn't matter much, though. Once her rits were full, she would be able to make money on her own rit—no need to rush.

Thinking this way, Zhouzhou beca more focused on her work.

Ancestral Master, observing from the sidelines, nodded with satisfaction. Not bad, not bad. Zhouzhou was reliable when it ca to work. That was one of the reasons he felt comfortable "relying" on her for his rits.

She was dependable, and that was a huge relief.

anwhile, he returned to the main hall and began absorbing the incense offerings, hoping that Zhouzhou would push herself a little more and complete the rits faster.

If Zhouzhou knew what he was thinking, she would've exploded in frustration. She was working her ass off, but he wanted more from her?

Couldn't he put in so effort himself to help her fill up the rits?

But Ancestral Master had no intention of lifting a finger himself.

Why should he? With a disciple like Zhouzhou around, why bother working hard himself? He wasn't stupid. Let the others do the work for him.

Poor Zhouzhou spent the whole day reading fortunes until her throat was sore. After dinner, she hurried down the mountain, her exhaustion written all over her face.

Seeing her so worn out, Qin Lie couldn't help but feel concerned.

He turned to Li Yuanming and asked, "Isn't there any other way to earn rits faster? Does she really have to keep doing this every day?"

Li Yuanming hesitated for a mont, clearing his throat, "I'll check so books to see if there's any other way."

Qin Lie furrowed his brow, feeling that Li Yuanming's suggestion wasn't all that reliable. But there was nothing else to do, so he simply nodded.

"Alright," he murmured, walking briskly to catch up with Zhouzhou's pace.

After Qin Lie left, Ancestral Master ca over, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "You know, the kid has a point."

This matter was closely related to how soon his golden body would recover. Naturally, he wanted it to happen as soon as possible.

With that thought, he turned back to Li Yuanming and asked, "Do you think Zhouzhou's tasks involve helping capture vicious criminals, which is why she's able to earn rits so fast?"

"Couldn't the sa apply to taphysics? We could make the temple famous, have more people co to seek guidance, or perhaps even capture so harmful spirits—wouldn't that earn more rits?"

Li Yuanming thought about it and replied honestly, "I don't know."

Such practical matters were beyond his knowledge.

Ancestral Master frowned at him and snapped, "Of course you don't know. You're no use at all."

Li Yuanming lowered his head, muttering to himself in frustration. If he knew the answer, why would he ask Ancestral Master?

Seemingly sensing his thoughts, Ancestral Master narrowed his eyes and sneered, "What are you thinking?"

Li Yuanming imdiately snapped back to attention, hurriedly shaking his head. "Nothing, nothing at all!"

Ancestral Master stared at him for a while, making him feel guilty. After a mont, Ancestral Master snorted, "You'd better go study. Don't just stand there wasting my ti."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Li Yuanming staring after him in disbelief.

Ancestral Master was becoming more unreasonable by the day. But Li Yuanming couldn't be too mad—after all, the reason Ancestral Master was acting this way was that he was impatient about regaining his golden body.

Li Yuanming sighed. He'd let it slide this ti, but he wasn't going to forget this anyti soon.

As he walked off, he couldn't help but chuckle. He was just too thoughtful! People like him, who understood everything without being told, were rare indeed.

His thoughts were so deep that, when Zhouzhou returned, she found him looking at her with a weird expression—like he thought she was missing sothing important.

Zhouzhou stared at him in confusion, unsure what his deal was. Shaking her head and yawning, she walked away.

She was so tired, she couldn't even begin to figure out why he was acting this way.

As soon as she laid down to sleep, though, her rest was interrupted by soone bursting into the room with a kick to the door.

A familiar villainous laugh echoed through the mountains.

"Hahahaha! I've found the way to earn rits!"

"Get up, get up! Hurry up!"
