"Before going to your house, can we go to my apartnt first to get my things?"
Ryzel knew that after getting a marriage certificate, both of them needed to live together.
According to the law, once a guide and a sentinel get married, they need to show proof that they have been living together for at least a year.
The law was really ticulous. They are taking care of those who just got married without knowing much about each other.
The purpose of the marriage law is, of course, the successful union of sentinel-guide pairs.
The marriage law has two main goals:
One: to relieve sentinels mania for better performance on the battlefield.
Two: to have more sentinels and guides in the next generation.
So, of course, the law also has considerations for those who married without knowing each other.
They made sure that the sentinels and guides would have ti to get to know each other through a forced living arrangent.
The punishnt for not following the arrangent was also very heavy.
Sentinels serving in the army would be degraded by two levels and barred from being promoted for a decade.
Sentinels who are not in the army are assigned to work on the frontlines for an additional ten years, and they are not permitted to remarry guides for ten years.
For guides, they would still be deported to one of the fringe stars for ten years.
Anyway, Ryzel doesn’t have any complaints about the arrangent as long as he has a place to live.
He doesn’t have his own house, so of course the default would be to live in Layton’s house.
"Yes, of course, but aren’t you tired? We can get them all tomorrow," Layton Lewis asked in concern.
"We can get it now because I already packed them all," Ryzel said.
Ryzel’s hope of finding a partner was extrely slim. That’s why, before going to the Matching Center, he already packed all his belongings.
All his belongings didn’t even fit in his space because he put all the potions and a few of his daily necessities in his space just in case he couldn’t find a partner and was punished by the law.
Once a guide can’t find a partner, as soon as it reaches 12:00 am on the day of their birthdays, they will imdiately be deported to one of the fringe stars just to stop them from running.
Packing your belongings would then be impossible, so Ryzel, who thought in advance, already packed all his belongings.
All the things needed for his survival were already in his space.
"Ok, but let’s go and eat first," Layton Lewis said, knowing that Ryzel didn’t have ti to eat because he was busy.
When Ryzel heard the word eat, he finally realized that he was indeed hungry.
"Yes, let’s go," Ryzel said, finally craving food.
"What kind of food do you want to eat?"
"Anything is fine," Ryzel said, as he wasn’t really picky about his food.
"Then let’s just go to Raizze Dining; it’s the nearest here," Layton Lewis replied, checking at the map in his light brain and making a reservation for them.
"Then let’s go!"
When the aircraft arrived, they went to Raizze Dining.
They went directly to the private room reserved by Layton Lewis.
Raizze Dining has a historical setting. The outside looked like a castle before the industrialization of mankind. The hallways and even the rooms were filled with vintage replicas and paintings from the past.
The venue was nice, but Ryzel couldn’t fully appreciate it because of hunger.
As soon as they entered the private room, Ryzel imdiately opened the paper nu to see what foods they were offering.
Based on the pictures, they all looked good, but he can’t try the taste of the dishes because they are using a paper nu, following their antique settings.
Paper is now rarely used. In restaurants or any establishnt that serves food, it is very common to have a hologram, which will allow them to taste test their dishes.
He didn’t know any foods on the nu, so he just looked at the photos.
"Can you order for ? I don’t know the dishes here," Ryzel said while handling the nu to Layton.
Ryzel was very straight-forward; if he didn’t know sothing, he would ask about it imdiately.
Unlike other people, especially guides, who would be shy when they didn’t know sothing and wait for their sentinels to notice and offer to help them.
So, he doesn’t think anything was wrong with letting Layton Lewis order the dishes he should eat.
Layton Lewis received the nu naturally and asked, "What do you want to eat right now? Sothing sweet, salty, or spicy?"
"I don’t want to eat sothing spicy right now. So you can order anything that isn’t spicy."
"Ok, what about drinks?"
"Any chocolate drink will do."
"Ok"
After two minutes, the dishes were all served.
As soon as the dishes arrived, Ryzel imdiately started enjoying the dishes.
Layton Lewis just kept serving so dishes for Ryzel, which he noticed a bit later as he was busy enjoying his al.
"Why don’t you eat? I can eat on my own," Ryzel asked as soon as he noticed Layton Lewis not eating anything and just helping him.
"I will eat after letting you try everything first," Lewis replied while still helping Ryzel debone a fish and put it on his plate.
"I’m not really sensitive to anything related to food, so you don’t have to worry; we can just eat together," Ryzel said.
He knew that Layton Lewis was worried that he couldn’t stand so of the dishes served, as it was his first ti to taste them.
Many guides struggled with food sensitivities. With their feeble physique, they can get into so problems if they don’t pay attention to what they consu.
Ryzel asked Layton Lewis to eat already, but Layton insisted on eating only after he tried every dish. So, Ryzel tried every dish on the table for Layton to be assured and start eating.
