Her emotions were about to spiral out of control when a doctor entered and administered a sedative.

Bian Yue clearly saw that it was Shen Jinci who signaled for it.

And while Bian Shu was initially struggling, the mont the sedative was administered, she quickly cald down.

She looked at Bian Yue, her eyes filled with intense and complex emotions, and eventually, with the support of two doctors, fainted.

Bian Yue quickly stepped forward, held Bian Shu, and placed her properly on the bed.

"Miss Bian, it’s late. You and Mr. Shen should rest first; we are here."

The doctor’s words brought Bian Yue back from her thoughts, she paused montarily, said nothing, and walked out.

Shen Jinci followed, and Bian Yue felt the warmth of the suit jacket being draped over her shoulders.

The night was cool as water, carrying a slight chill.

Bian Yue walked under the street lamp, watching her shadow elongate under the light.

She spoke, her voice hoarse, "Shen Jinci, do you know sothing else?"

"What does Yueyue want to know?" Shen Jinci walked calmly beside her, matching her pace and speaking indulgently.

In Bian Yue’s mind were the last looks Bian Shu gave her, filled with anger.

"My sister said, if not for my father and Li Tingmo, she wouldn’t have separated from An Shen... After that, the doctor rushed over." Bian Yue stopped walking, looked up at Shen Jinci, "Is An Shen’s death related to both the Bian and Li families?"

"Do you believe your father is soone who would harm others?"

"Of course I don’t believe that."

"That’s enough," Shen Jinci, touching Bian Yue’s cool face, felt a spreading sympathy, his actions beca gentler as he whispered tenderly, "Yueyue, no matter how An Shen died, you just need to believe in the father you rember."

"So... my sister thinks that An Shen’s death can’t be separated from my father and the Li Family, her hatred is not just for the Li Family..." Bian Yue’s eyes reddened, her voice beca more strained, she paused, then took a deep breath and continued, "She hates not only the Li Family but also my father, and the Bian Family... Does she, actually also hate ?"

Shen Jinci didn’t answer, he just hugged Bian Yue, gently patting her back, his voice low and tender, "Yueyue, none of these matter... I believe the father who raised you so well is definitely not soone who would harm others. As for Bian Shu... I will have soone take good care of her from now on, and if she wants to leave, I won’t stop her."

Bian Yue understood why Shen Jinci interrupted her conversation with Bian Shu earlier; continuing would have only led to more hatred and insults.

That night, Bian Yue was held in Shen Jinci’s arms, holding back her emotions the entire ti before finally finding so fragile relief.

She clutched his shirt corner, whispered, "I thought my sister was my kin, that she and I were of one heart. I never thought... she would hate too... Jinci, she hates ..."

"I love you." Shen Jinci softly interrupted Bian Yue’s words. In the night, Bian Yue looked at Shen Jinci’s face close by, his eyes dispelling the coldness, filled only with tenderness, he looked at her and softly said, "I love you, I will always love you."

"No matter what I do..."

"No matter what you have done," Shen Jinci’s fingers gently combed through her hair, and he said, "Yueyue, I will wait for you to co ho, no matter where you are, I will prepare a ho for you."

Bian Yue’s tears finally dared to fall.

She stood on the edge of a solitary cliff, with everyone turning their back on her.

If there truly was soone willing to reach out to her in the fierce wind, Bian Yue had no doubt, that person would only be Shen Jinci.

That night, Bian Yue had a very peaceful sleep.

She thought that no matter what, she was not afraid; she was not holess after all.

anwhile, Feng Cheng and Li Tingmo sat on the sofa, looking at Xie Zhang with complex expressions, full of pleas.

"Xie Zhang, you and Shiheng were good friends. Now that Shiheng is gone, you must help your uncle..." Li Tingmo nervously said, "I heard that the Xie Family’s current cash flow is quite good, isn’t it? Just help your uncle weather this crisis, and your uncle will listen to whatever you say."

"Uncle, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, it’s that the Xie Family really can’t spare that much money, and... you know I was close with Shiheng. Now with the situation as it is because of Shiheng, how could I defy his intentions?"

Xie Zhang’s voice was calm, unlike his usually respectful and jovial deanor; this ti, his attitude was obviously much colder.

Li Tingmo, who had spent a lifeti in the business world, knew too well what it ant to be forsaken.

Now that the Feng Cheng Tower was about to collapse, naturally no one wanted to pick up this hot potato. He had already hit a wall at Shen Jinci’s, and now his only hope was for the Xie Family to step in and help him barely survive a little longer.

"Xie Zhang, I know what you an; do you think I’m in this situation because I’ve turned against Shiheng?"

Li Tingmo sighed, helplessly saying, "You are really misunderstanding. Shiheng and I just had so misunderstandings between father and son, but now that he is gone, even if I want to reconcile with him, I no longer have the chance..."

"Uncle, you should look for soone else, I really can’t help." Xie Zhang’s expression was ugly. He had doubts about Li Sihe’s death and had just uncovered so clues. However, having to et with Li Tingmo now delayed his investigation.

He stood up, attempting to leave: "Uncle, since there’s nothing else, I will take my leave."

"Xie Zhang..." Li Tingmo froze, still wanting to retain him, but Xie Zhang had already left.

Li Tingmo watched his retreating figure, his face ashen.

Xie Zhang used to frequently visit Feng Cheng, and especially during the ti Li Sihe was seriously ill, he ca and went more often.

But never had any mont felt as empty and deserted as now.

As the elevator doors opened, Xie Zhang was about to step out but stopped in his tracks at the next mont.

Bian Yue was walking from not far away, their four eyes t, both were startled.

Xie Zhang watched Bian Yue walk towards him, he slowly stepped out of the elevator, blocking her path.

"Bian Yue, what are you doing here?" Xie Zhang’s voice was cold, his handso face showing chilliness, "Don’t tell , you plan to kick the Li Family while they are down at this critical mont? Bian Yue, no matter the grudges, Shiheng has never treated you unfairly."

Bian Yue looked at Xie Zhang calmly, the playmates of the past now each stood on opposite sides, truly becoming adversaries.

Bian Yue smiled, her voice cold, "Xie Zhang, our relationship is not so good that you can point fingers at . It’s none of your business whether I kick soone when they are down or not."

"The Li Family won’t last much longer, do you really need to go up there and humiliate Li Tingmo? Is it necessary?"
