Left felt that even ten mouths wouldn’t be enough to explain himself; Zoe was going to be the death of him.
Zoe was oblivious to the trouble she had caused. She went to visit Isabella Weaver in the morning and, after finally getting a slight sense of the miracle of nurturing new life, went back to her own ho to have lunch with her mom.
Because Evan Lewis had taken control of the actual power in the Lewis Clan Group, he could now receive substantial dividends each month. From a family that used to be so poor they had to rely on Ryder Lewis just to eat, they had now beco capable of buying their own ho.
Originally, Evan Lewis did have a house; when Old Master Lewis was still alive, he had prepared a very luxurious villa for his youngest son and had given him several large sums of assets, totaling over tens of billions.
Before Old Master Lewis passed away, he even left a will that stipulated the Lewis Clan Group be equally divided between his eldest and second sons.
But after he died, Old Madam Lewis took everything ant for Evan Lewis, calling him an illegitimate child who didn’t deserve the family’s inheritance.
So Zoe’s whole family had to rent a place to live.
Now that they have their own house, Zoe’s mother, Eva Price, was extrely happy and full of energy.
Eva Price was an excellent cook. Knowing that her daughter would co back for lunch, she specially prepared a table full of her favorite dishes.
Although their family was wealthy now, Eva Price still didn’t hire a maid. She maintained a frugal lifestyle, doing everything herself.
Zoe learned a lot of her cooking skills from her mother, though she’s not as good as her mom. She planned to learn a few more dishes this ti, so she could cook for Isabella and the others later.
"Sweet daughter, when are you coming back to live at ho?"
Eva Price was gentle and caring, loving her daughter and husband, with a personality as mild as water. Having been tornted to the brink of collapse by Old Madam Lewis in the past, she didn’t want Zoe to stay near the old lady at all, fearing she would be wronged.
"No rush, Mom. Staying close to Cherry and the old lady is where I’m most useful. Getting first-hand information from them benefits both Dad and Young Master Hunter."
"But what if they bully you? I’ve seen so many of the old lady’s tornting tricks, how can a little girl like you endure them? And Cherry, how ruthless she can be!"
"She doesn’t dare blatantly mistreat now. Whenever she does, I put so laxatives in her tea to make her uncomfortable for a few days."
Eva Price was startled, nervously clutching her daughter’s hand: "Don’t ss around, if anything happens to the old lady, you’ll end up in jail!"
Zoe smiled, her mom was still so timid and cautious, kind and gentle.
"Don’t worry, I’m very precise with the dosage; it won’t be fatal, trust !"
She didn’t dare to use too much; Old Madam Lewis had a doctor check her health every week and was much more concerned about her health than most, extrely afraid of dying.
If she used too much dicine, an experienced doctor would notice.
Eva Price knew her daughter was much shrewder than herself and, now that the family had a backing, they needn’t be overly afraid of the old lady and Cherry anymore.
She felt a sense of pride and her tone beca much lighter.
"Sweet daughter, your uncle approached a few days ago to say he wanted to introduce a boyfriend to you. Would you like to et him?"
