Cherry Lewis was too angry to continue speaking, cursed her a couple of tis, and then ordered her to go wash clothes and clean up.
But after all the fuss Zoe Lewis caused, Cherry indeed stopped dwelling on the matter of Zuo Hong bringing her back.
With her pride, Cherry couldn’t bring herself to consider a nouveau riche’s son.
Zoe ran into the bathroom to do the laundry, and while washing, rembered Zuo Hong’s insults, feeling a tightness in her chest from the anger.
After finishing the laundry, while eating dinner, she rembered again and got angry over it once more.
When she went to bed late at night, she was still furious.
Even after falling asleep, she dread of Zuo Hong’s cold face, pointing at her nose and calling her brainless, saying her mind was a ss.
The next morning, upon waking up, Zoe was too angry to eat breakfast.
No, she had to go settle the score with him.
She already tolerated Cherry’s beatings and humiliation daily, so why should she endure Zuo Hong’s wrath?

Zoe hid in her room, turned on her computer, watched as the red dot representing Cherry left the house, imdiately shut down the computer, packed a small bag, and slipped out the door.
Cherry forbade her from leaving the house for a month, and Lewis Family’s bodyguards would certainly block her way, but Zoe had already bribed a few of them, exploiting their weaknesses, coercing and tempting them, so now getting out was a simple matter.
At ten in the morning, Zoe got out of the cab and stood in front of the Star Region Group building.
Thinking of Harry Hunter also being in this building made her a bit apprehensive.
But holding onto her grievances and anger, she couldn’t eat if she didn’t give Zuo Hong a good scolding, so she must make this trip today!
Just in case, Zoe specifically called Isabella Weaver to ask if Zuo Hong was with Harry Hunter at the mont.
He wasn’t; Harry was in the guest room receiving guests, and Zuo Hong was in his secretary’s room.
Relieved, Zoe entered the company’s lobby, approached the front desk, and specifically asked to see Zuo Hong.
The receptionist smiled sweetly, "Secretary Zuo is busy. Does this miss have an appointnt?"
"No appointnt needed, I’m Zoe Lewis, his girlfriend, just let up!"
Zoe had thought it through; no other identity could get her in, only fabricating this one might work.
The receptionist wasn’t easily fooled, as Zuo Hong was now of high status, the CEO’s right-hand man, with countless people wanting to see him daily.
Though no one had previously posed as Zuo Hong’s girlfriend to see him, to be safe, the receptionist dialed Zuo Hong’s extension.
Unexpectedly, Zuo Hong did not deny it, only said, "Let her co up."
The receptionist hung up the phone, and thought sourly, so Secretary Zuo really did have a girlfriend, all the female staff in the company were about to experience heartbreak.
No wonder so many tried to ask him out for dinner and movies without success!
As sour as she felt, the receptionist still dutifully guided Zoe to the elevator, swiped the card for her, and sent her up.
Zuo Hong’s office and Harry Hunter’s office were adjacent, located on the top floor, offering a splendid view.
With the receptionist having retreated, Zoe walked alone on the soft carpet, traversing the spacious and luxurious corridor, feeling like this wasn’t a typical office building but an art gallery, stunningly beautiful.
There were three corridors on this floor, each leading to a different part.
Zoe had obtained the floor plan of the Star Region Group building a long ti ago, so she was quite familiar with its layout.
She found the secretary’s room, prepared a bunch of words to scold him, but just as she was about to knock on the door, a voice sounded from behind: "Girl, what are you doing here?"
