Isabella Weaver sighed lightly, "Secretary Landon, make so tea, and bring a wet towel."

The tea was quickly brewed, its aroma filling the entire office. Isabella Weaver and Cora Ginger sat together on the sofa, taking the wet towel from Secretary Landon’s hand, slowly wiping Cora Ginger’s face.

Cora Ginger had made herself a dirty ss, with dried tear stains, looking pitiful.

"Isabella, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have snapped at you yesterday. It’s just that... my brother is detained and facing jail ti. I’m too anxious and scared, please don’t take it to heart, okay?"

Isabella Weaver nodded.

"Are we still good friends?"

Isabella Weaver nodded again.

Cora Ginger cried and laughed, hugging her tightly, "I knew you were the best!"

Isabella Weaver did not return the hug, listening to her chatter, as if they were as close as before, as if nothing had happened.

Finally, she heard Cora Ginger say, "Please help save my brother, Isabella, now I can only ask you, my parents are about to go crazy, I can’t let them down, can’t let my brother go to jail."

"Cora, have you ever thought that it’s your family who have caused you to be in this state?"

Isabella Weaver felt no more waves of emotion, saying what had been in her heart for a long ti, "If you were more independent and assertive, they couldn’t control you. You should have a glorious life of your own, not live for them all your life."

Cora Ginger stared at her blankly, "You... what do you an?"

"It ans you should dare to stand up to your family."

"Stand up to my family?"

Cora Ginger laughed bitterly, "You just don’t want to help save my brother, so you say such grand words, right? They gave birth to and raised , my brother has protected since I was little, and you want to stand against them?"

Isabella Weaver’s expression was cold, her gaze sharp, "Is there a problem? I even personally sent my father to prison!"

"That’s different!"

Cora Ginger stood up, "I don’t have such a ruthless heart as you! I could never send my parents to prison, nor let my brother serve ti!"

Isabella Weaver’s tone was indifferent, "How do I rember, when I was fighting against my father, you were more enthusiastic about hitting and scolding him than I was? And now you say I’m ruthless?"

"I said, that’s different! Your father treated you terribly, but my parents love very much!"

Isabella Weaver laughed coldly, "Love you? Love you by letting you marry a man over forty for money? Love you by guiltlessly spending your money, sucking dry all your savings like a leech? Love you by using your connections behind your back to scam people everywhere?"

This kind of love, how can it be better than Christopher Weaver?

Christopher Weaver has many faults, but he would never spend a penny of his daughter’s money! He even forbids her from working to earn money!

As for the Ginger Family?

They wish they could drive their daughter to death, making her work day and night to support the whole family!

If this is called love, then Christopher Weaver must be the world’s best father!

Cora Ginger actually said she was ruthless?

Isabella Weaver felt a pain in her heart from anger!

"You’ve said so much just because you don’t want to help , pretending to be a good person! And you make my parents and brother look so terrible!"

"I’m speaking the truth!"

Isabella Weaver’s heart was icy cold, pretending to be a good person?

How was she pretending to be a good person?

Hasn’t she always been the villain? To help Cora Ginger break free from her vampire-like family, she deliberately played the villain!

She spoke word by word, "You’re right, I’m not going to help you anymore!"

"You just said we’re good friends!"

"Not anymore."
