"President Connor, hello, I’m the new assistant, Remi. I’ll be working for you and Secretary Fisher, so just let know if you need anything."
Remi stood up, glanced at Connor once, and didn’t dare to look again, speaking in a nervous tone.
"No need to be nervous, have a seat. You don’t need to call President Connor, just call Connor."
The newcor didn’t know anything and didn’t know who taught her to call him that.
Connor certainly didn’t need an assistant; he had a large number of subordinates. This Remi must have been a reserve talent Secretary Fisher was training for Harry Hunter.
He took a closer look at the obedient Remi, always feeling a sense of familiarity.
Had he seen her sowhere before?
Connor shook his head and went to brew tea.
Remi quickly grabbed the tea canister from his hand: "President Connor, you sit, I’ll make the tea for you!"
Connor didn’t fight with her over it. New employees eager to show their willingness to work was a good thing.
But as he looked at the side of Remi’s face, he grew more puzzled: "Assistant Remi, have we t before?"
Remi’s fair skin turned bright red in an instant, stumbling over her words, "N-no, I just graduated from school and haven’t been to Star Region Group before."
Seeing how easily she got embarrassed, Connor decided not to press further, lest she thought he had other intentions!
However, aside from being easily embarrassed, Remi indeed worked diligently and ticulously, being diligent and dedicated; whatever tasks Secretary Fisher assigned, she eagerly completed.
Of course, Remi did not need to make an appearance at Harry’s; everything was handled through Secretary Fisher and Connor. She was just a gofer for now.
Harry was extrely busy. Star Region Group had recently taken on several major projects, and several vice presidents had been sent out, putting all the pressure on Harry.
But even so, he still rembered to ask soone to buy fish — the batch of fish Isabella Weaver was raising had all died, and they needed to be replaced with new ones.
In the afternoon, Harry attended a group ribbon-cutting ceremony.
In a perfectly fitted suit, he faced the caras with composure and steadiness, his handso face captivating countless won present.
The Reception Lady responsible for handing over scissors twisted her ankle in high heels and fell towards Harry.
The Reception Lady paled in fright, and at the mont of falling, she aid the sharp end of the scissors towards herself to avoid injuring Harry.
However, Harry coldly stepped back, showing no care as she fell to the ground in public, making a fool of herself.
The Reception Lady teared up in pain, utterly astonished!
She never expected that, in front of so many caras, Harry wouldn’t help her, stepping back without any gentlemanly manner, intentionally causing her to fall!
Harry didn’t spare her a glance, turned, and left the ribbon-cutting platform to return to the group for a eting.
To him, this really was a trivial matter, forgotten as soon as he turned away.
But the dia imdiately reported the incident extensively, quickly placing him in the headlines.
Harry received a deluge of criticism.
With many dia present, the mont was captured very clearly; the Reception Lady even angled the scissors to avoid injuring him, and when she fell, the scissors pierced her skin and made her bleed!
People criticized him as uncultured and rude, called him cold-blooded and heartless, and accused him of deliberately exploiting the situation for attention because any normal person would instinctively support the beautiful lady in such a scenario, rather than stepping back and letting her fall.
