It was nearly six o’clock when he got ho. The sumr day was long, and the sun still hung in the west, painting half the sky red.
Connor ignored the group of people from S Kingdom guarding his gate and walked straight into the villa, locking the door behind him. He slowly walked around the garden and entered the living room.
The house was filled with the aroma of food. That cunning, fiercely capable woman was wearing his oversized shirt, her long legs bare, standing barefoot in the kitchen making soup.
Connor’s heart skipped a beat, ached a bit.
He walked over, took the spoon from her hand, his voice revealing a hint of unusual emotion: "Your injury hasn’t healed yet, why are you cooking?"
"I’m much better today."
Natalie Niles spoke with a bland tone: "I coughed up so blood last night, but today I feel my chest is less congested. Maybe it was all clotted blood, spitting it out helps the wounds heal."
"You coughed up blood last night? Why didn’t you tell ?"
"It’s not a big deal."
"Then what is a big deal?"
"Breaking up with is a big deal."
"Going to the Ginger Family to hit soone isn’t a big deal?"
Natalie was stunned: "You found out? That’s impossible, I told their family not to say anything. Did I hit too lightly, didn’t scare them?"
Connor gritted his teeth in anger: "You’ve got everything calculated perfectly!"
Natalie glanced at him coolly: "What, I hit Cora Ginger, and you feel sorry for her? Breaking up with , planning to get back together with her?"
As she spoke, she reached for the kitchen knife on the chopping board.
Connor, both angry and amused, pressed her hand down: "What, you want to cut ?"
"Just trying to scare you."
Natalie withdrew her hand and hugged him, kissing his neck: "When will you forgive ?"
Connor was shaken to the core by her kiss, his neck tingling and slightly itchy, wishing she would kiss him a few more tis.
He wanted to kiss her, hold her, and tell her he loved her dearly.
But he couldn’t do any of that.
She rely kissed his neck, and he was utterly defenseless. If she did more, he’d have no boundaries at all, might even sell out his own Young Master without realizing.
Connor maintained his final clarity, pulling her away: "You really have the nerve to ask for forgiveness, selling even my blood. Next, are you thinking of selling my life?"
Natalie took a sharp breath!
How did he know this too!
The KS Organization kept sinking lower, even leaking the seller’s identity at random!
She put on a pitiful expression: "I was wrong."
"Don’t pretend to be pitiful, it won’t work!"
"I sold it a long ti ago, exchanged your blood sample for a confidential ssage, not for money, just for survival."
"Well, you are quite savvy, swapping my blood for your life, and you say you like ?"
"Back then, I hadn’t realized that I liked you."
Natalie’s voice weakened, as she extended her arm: "How about I let you draw so blood from and sell it?"
"You think I’m as heartless as you?!"
Connor pointed angrily at her chest: "My blood is still flowing inside your body. You were in critical condition with excessive blood loss, and Johan Niles drew my blood to transfuse to you. Is this how you repay ?"
Natalie didn’t know this, and no one had ever told her.
"So what should I do? How do you want to repay you? I offered to let you draw my blood but you won’t do it."
"Just behave yourself in the future, don’t stir trouble!"
"Haven’t I been behaving these days?"
"Behaving, yet you ran off to the Ginger Family to beat soone?"
"They tricked you out of money, I was just going to get it back. I can deceive you, but nobody else can!"
