"Boss Palr."

Harry Hunter's cold voice cut through, interrupting the burly man's malicious thoughts.

"I want this painting. Na your price."

Boss Palr was surprised to find soone else interested in the painting. He was a bit troubled: "This isn't an auction house; it's not about the highest bidder. Boss Howard already placed a reservation, sorry."

"Kid, what do you an, trying to snatch my painting? Get lost! The painting's already mine!"

Boss Howard was quite displeased. He was very interested in this painting, and even more so in its owner. To be intercepted halfway was maddening, and his gaze turned fierce.

Harry Hunter icily uttered, "Two hundred thousand!"

Boss Palr's eyes lit up, but he glanced at Boss Howard and shook his head: "This really isn't an auction; there are rules to selling paintings."

Boss Howard was so angry his nose twisted. He'd made a fortune trading paintings in recent years and was always proud. Who would have thought a young upstart would look down on him! Trying to outbid him with cash!

"Kid, are you daring to out-money ? I was hustling when you were still bottle-fed! Old Palr, I offer two hundred and fifty thousand!"

Harry Hunter expressionlessly said, "Five hundred thousand!"

Boss Palr almost nodded with joy this ti!

He had encountered a big spender!

Doubling the bid!

If the sum were smaller, he'd owe Boss Howard a face. But now, it's big money, and face is nothing compared to real cash.

He had entirely forgotten his earlier "not an auction house" stance.

"The intent is clear, Boss Howard, you see..." His tone suggested Boss Howard should increase his bid, or the painting would certainly go to Harry Hunter.

Boss Howard's face turned green, was this a bad day? Why should buying a painting end up running into a hothead?

No matter how good the painting is, two or three hundred thousand tops, and this kid jumps to half a million. Is he crazy with too much money?

But he didn't want to lose. Losing money was one thing, but Simon Howard could not lose face. Otherwise, he'd never hold his head high before William Palr again!

Face flushed, neck bulging, he shouted: "Six hundred thousand!"

Harry Hunter still indifferent: "Two million."

"What?!"

Simon Howard's eyes nearly popped out. Who would be dumb enough to spend two million on a painting by a new artist?

This kid must be bluffing, throwing out numbers for show!

"Boss Palr, I don't want the painting. Let him have it! I want to see if he can pull out two million!"

William Palr was too shocked to react. Could this painting really sell for two million?

Harry Hunter had already taken out a gold card: "Bill, please."

Boss Palr had been running the gallery for a long ti but had never sold such an expensive painting. He quickly called over the cashier, brought the POS machine to settle the bill for Harry Hunter.

Two million swiped instantly. Boss Palr didn't believe it until he saw the receipt.

So extravagant!

He couldn't stop smiling, instructing staff to wrap the painting and personally hand it to Harry Hunter: "What's your surna, sir? You've bought a painting, so you're now a valued VIP of my gallery. I'll notify you first of any good paintings, and you'll have priority buying rights!"

"No need."

Harry Hunter coldly spoke the two words, continued browsing with the painting in hand.

Simon Howard looked at the receipt for the two-million purchase and Boss Palr's fawning deanor, his face turning all shades of green and purple, quite a sight!
