Ben Hunter sat under a large tree, playing chess with Grandpa King. The ga was intense when a petite, delicate woman gracefully walked over and knelt before Ben.
"Sir, I am here to serve you, sent by the Young Master. My na is Bella."
She lowered her head slightly, her face was beautiful, and her voice was gentle and sweet, carrying a subtle scholarly air with the grace of a noblewoman, yet she perford the old-fashioned servant’s kneeling etiquette, making one feel a sense of pity for her.
Ben, having grown up in a privileged environnt, was accustod to such displays since his youth surrounded by servants and maids, and it didn’t provoke much reaction.
But Grandpa King couldn’t sit still, imdiately wanting to help her up: "What era is it now? Such customs are outdated! Get up quickly; kneeling must hurt your knees!"
Bella didn’t rise. She lifted her eyes, clear and deep like autumn waters, and looked at Ben: "Sir, would you like so tea? Bella brews good tea."
Ben felt a bit puzzled; what was his grandson up to again?
Arranging a maid for him, and such a lovely and gentle maid!
If my wife sees...
Just then, he saw his own wife being helped out of a car by Cherry Lewis.
Ben suddenly understood; Harry Hunter knew his wife was returning and found a girl to provoke her!
Is the old lady stirring up trouble again?
"What’s going on here? I leave ho for two months, and you already have a vixen by your side? Ben Hunter, I’m not dead yet!"
The old lady took one look at Bella’s appearance and deanor, imdiately recognizing the type Ben liked!
She beca furious, rcilessly scolded Ben, and then flipped the chessboard directly!
Grandpa King was so frightened his heart skipped, quickly got up, and ran away.
Ben’s face turned very ugly; at his age, doesn’t he deserve so dignity? Who knows how Old King will laugh at him soday!
With a cold snort, he stood up and left, not bothering to say a word to the old lady.
Bella knelt there, quietly setting the chessboard back in place, picking up the pieces one by one.
Before she could finish, she received a sharp slap across her face.
"Get out! I’m not dead yet. I won’t stand for a lowly girl like you to entice anyone!"
Though the old lady was aged, her strength was shockingly harsh, leaving a distinct handprint on Bella’s face.
However, she didn’t utter a word, kneeling on the ground, her eyes fixed on Ben.
Ben imdiately returned: "Why are you bullying a child? You co back and start bullying and raging, is the Hunter Family under your rule now? Get out!"
"What did you say?!"
The old lady was so angry that she almost fainted, nearly collapsing if Cherry Lewis hadn’t held her!
"Are you causing trouble for Harry and his wife again? Are you never satisfied unless you create chaos for them day and night?"
Ben’s voice was stern: "If I find out you’re causing trouble at Harry’s place again, you’ll never be allowed to leave ho again!"
As he spoke, he looked at Cherry Lewis, who had remained silent and demure: "And you, go back to the Lewis Family. Instead of accompanying your grandmother, you’re here encouraging our old lady to cause trouble; what are your intentions?!"
"I didn’t, Grandpa! I saw Grandma had no one to accompany her, being confined there by Austin Winters, so I went to accompany her!"
Cherry Lewis was deeply aggrieved: "Grandma, since no one likes , I’ll leave and never co back. You must take care of yourself."
