Connor suddenly threw off the blanket!
"Cora Ginger?!"
Disappointnt flashed in his eyes, but he quickly returned to his usual calm: "Why are you here? Why not go find your fiancé?"
Cora Ginger woke up, opened her eyes, and smiled at him: "I don’t have a fiancé anymore. Can’t I sleep at your place for a night? I have nowhere to stay, and your villa is spacious and comfortable."
"You can’t stay here either."
"Didn’t I stay here before? We even..."
"We were very proper, Cora Ginger. You know it well. I never touched you!"
Connor’s voice was sowhat cold.
Although Connor and Cora Ginger lived together, they never slept in the sa bed.
It wasn’t because he was like Socrates and unfazed by temptation, but because Johan Niles, that jealous bastard, couldn’t stand Connor having a girlfriend and always ca to be a third wheel, impossible to drive away.
Back then, Connor would sleep in the sa bed as Johan Niles, while Cora Ginger slept in another bedroom.
Even when Connor wanted to watch a movie with Cora Ginger, Johan Niles insisted on squeezing in between them, utterly unaware of himself.
Back then, Connor wanted to be like Harry Hunter, quickly get married. He brought up getting married several tis, but Cora Ginger never agreed.
Connor thought it was because the ti was too short and she wasn’t familiar with him, so her refusal was normal.
Only now does he realize that the failed proposal wasn’t about ti, but money.
She knew Peter Barnes for even less ti, yet agreed to marry him quickly, didn’t she?
But Peter Barnes backed out and didn’t marry her.
"I’m not trying to cling to you, Connor. I just wanted to say, we had a great relationship before, and we can still be good friends now!"
"It was great before."
Connor’s gaze turned icy: "But you ruined it."
"Didn’t you say this was all a setup to target on purpose? Soone intentionally hard , causing our relationship to break! I even went to find Peter Barnes, and he admitted it, marrying was a conspiracy, soone wanted to keep us apart! You should bla her, how can you say I ruined our relationship?"
Connor suddenly laughed.
He might have been fooled by Natalie Niles too many tis, having witnessed her sophisticated tactics and penetrating psychological manipulation, now seeing Cora Ginger’s attempts felt rather crude.
Natalie’s psychological warfare was truly formidable! Few can withstand it!
In comparison, Cora Ginger seed much weaker.
"I do bla her, always have, almost killed her!"
Connor said, his tone lightening up: "But now I don’t bla her, she set up the trap, but she didn’t force you to step into it. I once tried desperately to bring you back to , but unfortunately, I failed."
Cora Ginger started crying: "You’re talking about Natalie Niles, right? She actually wants to steal you from , that’s why she set this trap! Do you like her now? Yesterday, you held and called out her na!"
"I don’t like her. She’s so cunning, might play to death one day."
Connor’s face returned to its signature gentle smile: "Calling her na doesn’t an anything; I just thought she was dead, felt too sad, and wanted her to live, so I called out the wrong na."
"Also, she doesn’t like ; she just wants to use . If you ever et her, run quickly, or you won’t even know how you die. She’s too wicked!"
Cora Ginger shook her head furiously: "I don’t want to hear you talk about her! I’m staying at your place tonight, you don’t have a girlfriend anyway!"
