The atmosphere was a bit ambiguous, so Isabella Weaver had no choice but to speak to ease the tension: "Why are you driving today, where’s Connor?"

"Why, do you want a third wheel on our date?"

Da... date?!

Isabella Weaver wanted to rewind back a minute, she shouldn’t have said anything, speaking only made it more ambiguous.

Harry Hunter chuckled softly; the little girl was really thin-skinned, still essentially a child. She looked so mature and independent, yet she still had the shyness and tenderness typical of girls her age, making him feel inexplicably joyful just by her presence.

It’s just that he wasn’t really good at chatting, and Isabella Weaver had a hard ti finding topics to talk with him.

They drove all the way to Wayne University, where Isabella Weaver studied, and Harry Hunter drove straight onto the campus.

His car was too eye-catching, drawing countless students’ gazes. When Harry Hunter got out of the car, the brilliance of his presence imdiately overshadowed the car’s glamour.

Countless girls began to cover their mouths, whispering or screaming, their eyes sparkling.

Harry Hunter seed to be accustod to such scenes; his face showed no expression as he walked around to the passenger side, opened the car door to let Isabella out.

Isabella Weaver kind of wanted to sigh; she originally wanted to keep a low profile, but recently, there had been all kinds of rumors about her, so many that even she couldn’t stand it, and she really didn’t want to add another one.

But Harry Hunter insisted on escorting her to the dormitory building; her protests were in vain, and she had no choice but to resign herself to it.

As she got out of the car, countless phone caras were pointed at her face, making it seem as if she were a celebrity. She had been through such scenes many tis before and was ntally strong, yet scenes like this still made her feel a bit uneasy.

"Oh, look, such a handso man is already taken; what a pity! I wanted to get his number!"

"Forget it, you’re like eighteen blocks away from being his girlfriend. Look how pretty this girl is, so beautiful even without any makeup!"

"She looks a bit familiar, right, isn’t she that Isabella Weaver who’s been so hot on the gossip forum lately?"

"Isabella Weaver? The one who was with an older guy in a Range Rover, and last night got picked up by a chubby guy in a Lincoln?"

"Yes, that’s her! There’s a picture of her on the forum, no one knows who uploaded her ugly photo, but she’s unbelievably pretty in person!"

...

The surrounding discussions had grown so loud that Isabella Weaver couldn’t help but hear them.

She smiled bitterly; her reputation was getting worse and worse. Jeremy Duff ca to pick her up last night and by early this morning, the news had already spread everywhere. In this era of the internet, information travels as fast as lightning; her several good roommates must have contributed quite a bit.

She was about to leave with her bag when Harry Hunter suddenly pulled her back and pinned her against the car.

Before she could react, a kiss with a hint of cold fragrance landed on her forehead.

The touch of his warm lips, like electricity, left Isabella Weaver instantaneously rooted to her spot.

All the discussions around them suddenly retreated, leaving only his soft breath in her ears and his handso face before her eyes, as if the whole world only had him, dazzlingly unique.

Harry Hunter’s kiss was a brief touch, without a hint of emotion, as if it were just routine, yet his voice betrayed a sliver of his emotion: "Isabella, you don’t have to care about what anyone else says; I believe in you."
