Isabella was a bit surprised, "Thanks to you, Boss Palr. If you hadn’t been willing to make room for my exhibition, my paintings would have gone unnoticed."
"No way, your paintings have a certain charm. I really like them! Are you painting today? There’s an available studio."
"Yes, I am. Could you arrange it for , please?"
Painting was Isabella’s greatest hobby. After she t Boss Palr by chance, she beca rooted there, occasionally selling a painting or two to supplent her life so that she wouldn’t be too strapped for cash.
After receiving her earnings, Isabella spent the entire afternoon in the studio. It wasn’t until the sun set that she stretched her body and smiled.
Today, she had a good touch; she was quite satisfied with the landscape painting she had created.
She initially planned to paint only mountains, but in the end, she added a red off-road vehicle at the foot of the mountain. A girl with a backpack casually leaned against the car, her long hair flying, looking exceptionally free-spirited.
She handed the painting over to Boss Palr and hurriedly returned to the city, skipping dinner.
By the ti she arrived at the Royalton Club, it was already past her shift start ti.
Cora Ginger sighed with relief when she saw her, handing her the small cart, "Why did you just get here? The manager ca by to check earlier, and I barely managed to cover for you. I was terrified!"
"Thank you!"
Isabella gratefully thanked her. If she were caught being late, she’d get a deduction of at least two hundred dollars.
The two exchanged a few words before jumping into work, leaving Cora no ti to put Isabella’s makeup on to make her look plain.
After delivering a round of orders, the two finally had so ti to rest.
Cora nibbled on so fruit and whispered the latest gossip she had heard to Isabella, but before she finished, the manager’s voice ca over the walkie-talkie:
"Is Isabella there yet?"
Isabella exchanged a glance with Cora. They both knew the manager was checking in again, so she pressed the walkie-talkie button and said, "Manager, I’m here."
"People just went into Room 17. Go over and deliver the fruit platter imdiately!"
"Got it!"
Isabella responded and got up to head to the room with Cora.
Room 17 was a large room, and according to the club’s rules, two complintary fruit platters and beers were to be served.
When Isabella entered with the fruit platter, she imdiately noticed Harry Hunter sitting in the center.
Today’s room was different from the usual quiet setting; the music was loud, and his friends were talking and laughing, making the place particularly lively.
He was the only one, still icy and indifferent as usual, starkly out of place with the surrounding rrint.
Isabella placed the fruit platter down and was just about to leave when suddenly she was stopped.
"Isabella!"
Harry had sohow already stood up and walked over to her side.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms, then loudly announced to everyone, "Let introduce you all, this is my girlfriend, Isabella."
The lively atmosphere suddenly plunged into an eerie silence.
Everyone stared at Isabella in shock and then turned their gaze to a woman in white standing among them.
It took a while before soone stood up to break the silence, "Young Master Hunter, stop joking around. You’ve only known this waitress for a few days; she’s not your girlfriend! Isn’t Cherry Lewis your fiancée? She just returned from abroad, and we’re here to welco her today. Just let the waitress go!"
