Alexander was interrogated at the police station all night and was only released in the morning. His face was stormy, as if brewing for a storm, scaring Ella who ca out with him, her face pale as a ghost.
"Cousin, I didn’t know things would turn out this way! I just called the police according to your instructions, you can’t bla !"
"Idiot!"
Alexander coldly cursed, got into a taxi, and left.
The foolish teammate not only didn’t help but made the situation worse!
Watching him leave, Ella breathed a sigh of relief but didn’t dare to go back to the Parker Family, instead driving back ho.
As soon as she entered the villa, she felt a different atmosphere; yesterday it was lifeless, but today there was the aroma of food!
She hurriedly parked and rushed into the living room to see Christopher sitting weakly on the sofa. She lunged over, sobbing uncontrollably: "Dad, you’re finally back! You scared to death, I was so frightened!"
However, Christopher didn’t embrace her or soothe her like usual. He sat unmoving, looking at her with a cold gaze.
Ella, not getting the comfort she expected, looked up and was startled by Christopher’s gaze!
Dad had never looked at her like an enemy before!
This kind of gaze, wasn’t it only reserved for Isabella?
"Dad, you..."
"From now on, don’t ddle indiscriminately. Your sister’s marriage is not for you to interfere with. Her matters are solely for to decide."
Christopher’s voice was weak, yet still carried authority and sharpness, making Ella lower her head involuntarily.
"Dad, I was just thinking of the family, considering my sister’s future, I..."
Before she finished, Christopher impatiently interrupted her: "Go up and check on your mom, stay put for a few days, and don’t wander around aimlessly."
Ella was unwilling in her heart; she failed to throw Isabella into the fire pit, instead found herself confined, all because of that psychopath Alexander!
As for Isabella’s husband, she had no idea who he was, yet he was so influential. After he visited, Danny, who was pursuing her, suddenly changed and rcilessly interrogated her and Alexander!
She must ruin Isabella’s marriage; otherwise, she’d be overshadowed by a bastard daughter for life!
But she knew that now wasn’t the ti to make trouble for Isabella, Christopher was angry with her, and she temporarily lost his trust.
Ella ekly admitted her mistake and then went upstairs to check on Rose.
Rose looked even worse than Christopher, lying in bed being fed porridge by a new servant, seemingly as if she could pass away at any mont.
"Mom, what happened to you? Where did you go? I couldn’t find you anywhere, I was terrified..."
Ella lay on the bedside, sobbing mournfully.
She wasn’t faking it; she was truly scared and truly aggrieved.
Rose waved for the servant to leave and gently patted her daughter’s head: "I don’t know where I went either. Your dad and I were suddenly knocked out, and when we woke up, we were ho again, but it was already three days later. I suspect it was your cousin who couldn’t find Isabella and, out of revenge, hired soone to do it. Do not let it slip, or your dad will be angry at your cousin again."
Ella’s eyes widened instantly: "Cousin said it wasn’t him!"
