The warm glow glimred through the gaps in the leaves, dispelling the gloom of the entire night.

Just as Jiang Kaiyuan was about to wake up the two people by the campfire, Jiang Lingxi and Xu Zhao almost simultaneously opened their eyes.

Their eyes were completely clear.

Jiang Lingxi got up, pulled out the arrow still sticking slantingly in the ground, wiped the dirt off the arrowhead, then pulled out the dagger, wiped the dirt off its tip, and tossed it back towards Xu Zhao.

Before Jiang Kaiyuan, who was sitting next to Xu Zhao, could exclaim at the flying dagger, Xu Zhao had already lifted his hand and precisely caught the handle of the dagger, then deftly sheathed it at his waist, "Thanks."

"No problem."

Jiang Kaiyuan: "..."

He paused for two seconds, inevitably sighing, "You two really are sothing else, one dares to throw, the other dares to catch!"

Jiang Lingxi returned, placed the arrow back into the quiver, and casually asked, "Was the night watch alright last night?"

Jiang Kaiyuan imdiately thought of those two snakes slithering by the previous night, swallowed hard, "I think I need Sister Xixi’s arrows and Brother Xu’s dagger for protection. Can I hug them while on night watch in the future?"

Xu Zhao raised his eyebrows at this.

Jiang Kaiyuan looked over at him and only then rembered sothing.

He and Sister Xixi had just coincidentally bumped into Brother Xu, which led to them eating and spending the night together. In fact, they weren’t even in the sa survival group yet.

With this realization, he imdiately looked at the cara, "Director, since I could bump into Sister Xixi in such a big jungle, can I team up with Brother Xu next?"

Li Shuo was currently sitting in a chair, taking big bites of instant noodles while observing the status of the guests, and was caught off guard by Jiang Kaiyuan’s face suddenly enlarging on one of the caras. Hearing his question, Li Shuo almost spat out the noodles he had just put in his mouth.

You’re talking about how big the jungle is and how it was a coincidence eting up; can he really say no?

If he refuses, he’ll likely be criticized by the audience for being cold-blooded and inflexible!

Reluctantly, he ordered, "Agree to his request, and also announce that if other guests encounter each other during survival, they can form a second team, negotiate changing teammates, or two teams can rge into one."

So, under Jiang Kaiyuan’s watchful gaze, the cara nodded up and down.

Jiang Kaiyuan imdiately broke into a wide smile, then turned his head hopefully towards Xu Zhao.

If this was at the very beginning of their eting yesterday, Xu Zhao felt he likely wouldn’t have agreed.

The jungle didn’t pose any real danger to him; living here felt no different than at ho. He felt more comfortable and free teaming up alone without having to consider others.

Different people have different tempers, and who knows if he’d end up with soone hard to get along with, which would be self-torture when teaming up.

But after spending yesterday afternoon and night together, he felt that while Jiang Kaiyuan was sowhat inept and cowardly, he was at least straightforward and easy to get along with. And Jiang Lingxi differed greatly from the delicate female stars in his mind, even making him a bit curious about what experiences had honed such unique abilities in her and what other skills she possessed that he didn’t know about.

Thinking this way, teaming up didn’t seem so bad.

So he simply nodded.

Jiang Kaiyuan saw this and instantly smiled even wider.

"With Brother Xu on one side and Sister Xixi on the other, I don’t think there’s anything to fear from snakes anymore. I can romp around the jungle again!"

That boastful face as if he wasn’t the one who scread in terror at a small snake last night.

Most of the live stream audience had just woken up, brushing their teeth and eating breakfast while casually tuning in, and they were greeted with Jiang Kaiyuan’s almost glowing face.

—"What snake? I didn’t watch the live stream last night, did our brother get attacked by a snake?"

—"Haha, luckily I stayed up till late at night. I rember our brother once ntioned on a show he wasn’t afraid of anything, but last night he was proven wrong, screaming at a snake not much thicker than a chopstick."

—"Ah, keep the laughter down, our brother has dignity too. We know he tends to boast, and generally, aren’t people mostly afraid of snakes anyway!"

—"Jiang Lingxi’s not afraid, and I think she seems quite knowledgeable about them too."

—"For our brother to say this, it’s probably because last night while Jiang Lingxi and Xu Zhao were resting, they didn’t forget to help brother scare away the snake. Honestly, I was moved at the ti. With Xu Zhao and Jiang Lingxi, our brother really has a great sense of security."

—"All this talk makes want to watch last night’s stream, anyone with a recording out there, send it my way!"

...

anwhile, other guests who had gotten up early and either were looking for or making breakfast also received the show’s transmission of the new rules.

Xu Ai was the first to guess the truth: "It must be that other guests t up on their way and ford another team, but whether they split and reford or turned two into three, I’m not sure."

Zhou Yi held his girlfriend’s hand, "Regardless, we’re definitely not splitting up."

Xu Ai held back, "Of course. We should be the quickest to reach the destination."

It wasn’t arrogance, but for them, who had ventured through more treacherous terrains, this jungle was only a dium challenge with little difficulty.

If it weren’t for the show’s need for footage, fearing that walking too fast would leave nothing to film later, they might have been even faster.

Lin Jing smiled at the cara, "I’ll go with the flow. If I happen to et other guests, we can chat and help each other. If not, I still have everyone in front of the screen with ."

The live stream’s chat imdiately lit up with a flurry of responses.

Yu Hui and Jiang Xiyu were awakened by the photographer who ca to inform them of the new rules.

After being rained on during the day yesterday and then discovering their pet rabbit had died, leaving them no choice but to eat it, the series of events exhausted them physically and ntally.

They couldn’t maintain the sa harmony as the previous days.

Yu Hui even felt his brain had been fogged before, only to be cleared by the rain. However, thinking of the efforts he made that went unreciprocated, he remained mired in the disappointnt of his broken goddess filter and had no inclination to care about Jiang Xiyu.

He only nodded subconsciously after hearing the photographer announce the new rules.

Until Jiang Xiyu asked, "Have other guests ford a second team?"

The photographer just nodded before retreating to his position.

"Yu Hui, let’s get moving now and see if we can find other guests to team up with."

Her tug on his arm brought no thrill, only a nonchalant nod from Yu Hui, "Okay."

Without the filter, he finally saw clearly—was it because she thought he was useless?

Yu Hui looked down, laughing at himself.

He really was foolish not to have seen it from the start!
