"I’m fine."

Changning pushed away Yun Yi’s hand, looking solemnly at the pompom that fell on the ground.

Everyone in the room who saw the mark on Changning’s palm was stunned.

Did that pompom have so poison on it? Just a touch caused such a reaction.

But the most stunned was Lian Lian, the owner of the pompom hair tie.

She had personally tied this hair tie on this morning, and before it was pulled off, she had subtly checked it a few tis to ensure that what she had hastily sewn inside was still there.

How did it suddenly turn into sothing harmful?

For a mont, everyone stared blankly at the pompom on the ground, no one daring to pick it up.

Yun Yi was about to question what dirty tricks Lian Lian had played when Jiang Lingxi arrived with Shen Chuyue and Lu Zhengzheng, who had followed her spontaneously.

"How’s your hand?"

Changning pressed her lips together, shook her head, and sent a glance considering the presence of others.

Jiang Lingxi received the glance and instantly understood.

"Is it okay if it’s ?"

"Yeah."

Jiang Lingxi imdiately squatted down to pick up the pompom, but was stopped by several voices coming from behind her.

Lu Zhengzheng rushed over, reaching out as if to stop her, but paused when she saw that the hand holding the pompom was still fair and smooth.

"How is it okay?"

She was montarily stunned.

Jiang Lingxi lowered her head, found the thread end on the pompom, gave it a strong pull, and a U-disk, not much bigger than a fingernail, appeared in front of everyone.

Lian Lian felt her vision go black, her face turning completely ashen.

Jiang Lingxi held the U-disk in her hand, examining it seriously. She wasn’t very familiar with these electronic devices, knowing only that they stored information and required a computer to view their contents.

But this U-disk in her hand could harm Changning, a mage, yet seed harmless to ordinary people, indicating it was definitely not an ordinary U-disk.

"Changning, co here."

As Changning was about to move forward, Yun Yi instinctively held her back.

"I won’t touch it."

She understood that Sister Xixi just wanted her to co over and have a look.

When Jiang Lingxi saw Changning approaching, she pointed at the barely discernible carvings on the U-disk. "Patterns, and numbers."

Changning’s expression turned serious. "Sister Xixi, I need to take it away."

Jiang Lingxi nodded toward Yun Yi standing behind her. "You should also ask him."

Without waiting for Changning’s question, Yun Yi nodded directly, agreeing, "You can take it away, but I want to ask, what exactly is this U-disk, why did it harm you, and will you be in danger holding it?"

Changning, still feeling solemn, saw Yun Yi’s concern and rembered that without him, she wouldn’t have discovered the U-disk. After hesitating, she patiently replied, "I’m not sure yet, but I can confirm it’s definitely not a good thing. Your initial intuition was right; it’s very dangerous, but I must take it away."

Lian Lian, seeing her U-disk being taken away, was still unwilling to give up. "But the U-disk is half mine too!"

However, no one paid her any attention.

Since the U-disk that the boy had been fixated on since regaining his mory had been obtained, Yun Chan instructed the bodyguards to keep an eye on Lian Lian and Li Yan. "Let’s go to the other side."

She was also curious about the U-disk, but the place was a ss, not suitable for inquiries.

Once in the opposite room, Yun Chan checked the ti, then heard Changning asking the boy, "Do you still rember the person you and Lian Lian t, and can you still find the place where you discovered him?"

Yun Yi recalled seriously for a mont, "The man was around thirty, male, with dium-length hair, wearing a black robe. For the location, I can draw a map."

Changning wasn’t very satisfied with this response, "What did he specifically look like?"

After a pause, Yun Yi replied in a low voice, "Lian Lian said she studied painting before, she should be able to draw the man’s likeness."

Jiang Lingxi, hearing this, looked at Yun Chan.

Yun Chan imdiately instructed soone to bring paper and pen from the opposite side.

When Yun Yi took paper and pen to start drawing the map, Yun Chan sent everyone else out of the room. Jiang Lingxi, seeing this, also sent Shen Chuyue and Lu Zhengzheng down to the hotel restaurant to order food.

The two could only set aside their curiosity and obediently leave the room.

Yun Chan closed the door and glanced again at her son, who was seriously drawing the map. "Lingxi, Miss Changning, isn’t the U-disk and the person who gave it to Yun Yi sowhat unusual? I’ve seen so inexplicable things in the international fashion scene over the years. Like Miss Changning’s hand. That U-disk poses no issue for ordinary people to hold, but Miss Changning, you aren’t ordinary, are you?"

Yun Yi raised his head sharply from his map-drawing.

Changning opened her palm to reveal the persistent black mark, and after seeing Jiang Lingxi nod slightly at her, she spoke in a low, serious tone, "You’re correct. I’ve learned so skills from my master that might seem special to ordinary people. Indeed, there are people and things in this world that appear strange to most. The man Yun Yi saw in the desert and this U-disk are part of that, but we’re on different paths, even opposites, so the U-disk can harm ."

"However, the skills I’ve learned are mainly combat-related. I need to take this U-disk to soone more professional to decode its content. That’s all I can say. Yun Yi got involved by accident, but once the map is drawn, you should forget about the U-disk and the man in the desert. Knowing too much does no good."

Yun Yi was about to say sothing, but Changning had already turned away from him, "The sa goes for you, Sister Yun."

Yun Chan nodded, "I know my boundaries." Having witnessed those people firsthand abroad, she knew their fearso nature much better than Yun Yi.

She just hadn’t expected Changning to be from that world too.

But given that she was Jiang Lingxi’s assistant, that ant Lingxi...

She forced herself to stop thinking further.

Seeing her son’s disappointed face, she sighed inwardly.

This serendipity was full of hurdles, and given Changning’s special identity, her son’s secret crush might end in vain!

Lian Lian was forced to sketch a portrait, which, after being confird by Yun Yi, was handed over to Changning along with the map.

"Thank you."

Even Changning hadn’t expected that rely saving a person with Xixi would yield such an unexpected gain.

Yun Yi held the corner of the paper, "No need to thank . I don’t know what you’re going to do, but anyway, be sure to be careful and protect yourself."

Seeing Changning nod at him, he finally let go of the paper.

After Jiang Lingxi and the others finished speaking, she waved her phone, "Chuyue says they’ve ordered so good dishes and are calling us down."

Yun Chan laughed and said, "I’ve also been delayed for quite so ti, with Yun Ping covering for at the reception. Lingxi, you and Changning should go have your al quickly. Yun Yi, would you like to et your aunt at the reception with ?"

As there was little chance, she thought it best to separate them.

"I..." Yun Yi eventually nodded.

After regaining his mory, he truly didn’t know how to face Changning, always feeling at a loss.

Jiang Lingxi and Changning went down the elevator first.

As they walked down the hallway toward the dining room, Jiang Lingxi asked her, "Do you need to send the thing back to the Imperial City?"

"No," Changning shook her head, "Sister Xixi, since that person died in the desert, the master should personally send soone over once he knows."

Jiang Lingxi: "..."

She had an inexplicable premonition that soone would indeed co personally!
