"Have you seen the original work?"

Jing Huai happened to walk past the two from behind, overheard the conversation, and couldn’t help but stop with a laugh.

He glanced at the cara that turned in this direction and, using a leisurely, educational tone, said, "The original work of ’Bibo Wanxiang’ was lost in the long river of history long ago. Even who the original author was is still unknown. With Mr. Zhang’s capability, he could only collect replica works."

Anyone who claims to have seen the original ’Bibo Wanxiang’ is truly shaless.

Shen Huchen was not unaware of what Jing Huai was saying.

He just couldn’t help but voice his question upon hearing Jiang Lingxi’s particularly calm tone when ntioning the original earlier, and unfortunately, it was overheard.

He also noticed a cara pointing their way. It didn’t matter to him personally; he wasn’t in the entertainnt industry, but it wouldn’t be good if Jiang Lingxi left a shaless impression on the audience.

If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have co over to probe for information!

"I was just..."

Shen Huchen noticed the cara, so there was no way Jiang Lingxi couldn’t. Although Jing Huai suddenly ca over and forcefully ’educated’ everyone, it was unexpected for her, she was certainly not panicked.

"Really?"

Jing Huai’s tone paused.

Jiang Lingxi shouldn’t be so calm!

What he wanted to see was a Jiang Lingxi who, after his lecture, beca flustered under the cara and started to cover up for herself, not the current Jiang Lingxi who wasn’t fazed in the slightest!

But if he continued to speak, it would seem provocative.

Since the other party remained unchanged, he could only take the opportunity and leave while the going was good, smiling as he turned to leave.

After the cara moved away, Shen Huchen apologized, "Sorry, Sister Jiang, I didn’t notice anyone nearby earlier, almost gave you a chance to be compromised."

For Jiang Lingxi, she really didn’t care about the little episode just now. Hearing this, she only waved it off, "It’s nothing."

Seeing that Jiang Lingxi truly didn’t mind, Shen Huchen said to himself that it’s truly deserving for his idol cousin to fancy her, and felt reassured before walking away.

After visiting the historical paintings area, they passed through a corridor filled with lush indoor plants, reaching another area.

So paintings on the walls were ones Jiang Lingxi had seen in docuntaries, but most she hadn’t seen before.

From these paintings, you could discern the artist’s personality, and even discern changes in the artist’s mood over different tis.

Mr. Zhang was undoubtedly a person with a fierce temper and abhorrence for evil, which hadn’t changed at all from before to now, and it could be seen from the paintings.

But after looking around, what impressed her the most was another person’s work.

Being placed in this area indicated that this person was also a contemporary, possibly even a living artist.

The painting depicted a lush forest, layers of green rendering, teeming with boundless vitality.

Yet, if looked at carefully, you’d see beneath the bushes, there were scattered white bones, either covered by leaves and grasses, or half-buried in the soil, with so dark red traces in the corners that looked much like fresh blood stains of recent death.

In one painting, both ink wash and ticulous brushwork were used, life and death coexisted, subtly aligning with the path of life and death.

Jiang Lingxi looked towards the introduction below the painting.

Work title: ’Nianluo’.

Author: Jian Sheng.

Is being ground into the earth better for life protection?

It was truly a very unique piece of work.

Until she heard so noise beside her, Jiang Lingxi turned her head to see Su Yi, appearing slightly dazed.

Her gaze also fell on the painting opposite.

She didn’t disturb her, quietly walking away.

Shen Huchen, dragged around for the tour by Lu Sen, suddenly felt his arm tighten, as he heard Lu Sen suddenly getting nervous, "Here he cos, here he cos, he’s coming out with a cane!"

Shen Huchen: "..."

Following Lu Sen’s line of sight, an imposing old gentleman with white hair was seen walking over from the ’non-public area’.

Not just the two of them, everyone present, upon the appearance of that figure, all turned their heads to look.

Zhang Nachuan, with a stern expression, and sharp eyes swept across the few young people present.

Just when everyone had their heart gripped with tension by his gaze, he unhurriedly spoke, "Have you almost finished touring?"

Lu Sen watched as the old man’s gaze settled on him, his lips trembled, "Almost, almost."

"That will do," Zhang Nachuan amiably smiled at everyone and directly dropped a bombshell, "Your director asked to propose a challenge for you all. I, the old man, thought long and hard, and finally ca up with an idea."

Lu Sen braced himself, "Wha, what idea?"

"When first learning calligraphy and painting, you all have to go through a process of copying existing works before attempting original creations. Fortunately, I have plenty of works here, just pick one to copy. As long as it’s copied well enough to please , the challenge is considered passed!"

Everyone exchanged glances in surprise, not expecting it would be copying!

It’s important to know that after being able to create independently, they rarely copied others’ works anymore.

They often find their own creative ti is barely sufficient, let alone ti to copy others.

After all, no matter how well you copy, it just hones skills at most, not as aningful as creating a work independently.

But since Mr. Zhang had said so, what choice do they have but to obediently go and copy?

Lu Sen was the first to move, "Mr. Zhang, we don’t have the equipnt."

Since they were to copy, there should be tables, and essential supplies like brushes, ink, paper, inkstones, and paints should be provided.

Zhang Nachuan nodded to Zhang Ye, who smiled and nodded, clapping his hands to summon so museum staff, "Once you’ve chosen the work to copy, you can request brushes, ink, paper, inkstones, and other tools from them."

Everyone: "..."

It seed everything was already prepared.

Now the pressure was back on the participants.

With so many pieces, which one should they copy?

Surprisingly, Su Yi was the first to make a choice, not the usually active Lu Sen.

"I’ll choose ’Nianluo’."

Jiang Lingxi looked over upon hearing, not surprised.

She had sensed earlier, Su Yi’s distinct feeling towards that painting.

It seed like she was looking at soone through the painting.

With the first person setting the pace, Lin Nuo and Lu Sen soon selected their desired works to copy, the forr choosing a historical masterpiece, the latter choosing a piece by Zhang Nachuan.

"’Bibo Wanxiang’."

Two voices, in unison.

Jiang Lingxi and Shen Huchen exchanged a glance under the others’ surprised gazes.

Shen Huchen looked a bit shocked, opened his mouth but said nothing in the end.

He would never repeat the lesson he learned earlier!

Jing Huai observed, sothing flashed in his eyes, then he looked towards Zhang Nachuan, who stood there calmly, "Mr. Zhang, can several people choose to copy the sa work for this challenge?"

Zhang Nachuan lifted his eyelids to glance at him, nodding slightly, "Everything’s permissible, as you wish."

"Then I’ll also choose ’Bibo Wanxiang’. I quite like the mood presented by this piece."

Qian Yaya realized she was, in fact, the last to choose, and looked a bit troubled at the three people who chose the sa painting, "Then, then I’ll choose this one as well."

She definitely wasn’t choosing just for the sake of it; she had decision paralysis and with so many works in front of her at once, she couldn’t make up her mind, so she decided to see the final outcos of the other four’s copies.

She’s quite the clever one!
