As Chen Weiwen’s voice fell, the carriage was silent for a mont.

When they learned they were going to a studio, they guessed it might be for sketching, perhaps to guide others in calligraphy and painting as a teacher, or even to complete a thed piece in the presence of the studio crowd, and finally let everyone vote to select the best piece.

What they didn’t expect was that this ti they would be dealing with pens, ink, paper, inkstones, paints, and other tools that they were already accustod to when writing and painting.

"If we finish making sothing, can we take it away?"

Chen Weiwen looked over at Su Yi, who was sitting next to Jiang Lingxi; she was the one who asked the question just now.

He pondered for a mont, smiled, and nodded: "Yes, although the product might not be perfect since it’s your first ti making it by hand, it will be aningful enough for you. If you want to take it as a souvenir, you certainly can."

"No need to pay?"

Lu Sen, sitting in the seat in front of Su Yi, laughed out loud, taking advantage of the fact that his elder sister at the back of the car couldn’t hear him.

"What are you concerned about? How could the show make us pay!"

Chen Weiwen glanced at Lu Sen and explained to Su Yi: "The studio we are going to is also in collaboration with the program. The program borrows the studio’s space and tools, and in return, the show’s airing also serves as promotion for the studio. So, there’s no need to worry about funding issues. This trip is completely free."

As the director, he had all the basic information about everyone present. He also knew where Su Yi ca from and could guess why she asked the question.

Just to say, different encounters are not a reason to laugh.

Lu Sen stopped laughing silently at his glance.

Su Yi nodded gratefully: "I understand, thank you, director."

In less than half an hour of driving, it felt like just a few words were exchanged, and they arrived.

The bus stopped, and everyone got up and started getting off one by one.

Jiang Lingxi glanced at Su Yi, who was closely following beside her, hesitated for a bit but decided not to say anything.

If staying by her side feels safer and more comfortable, then so be it.

Shen Huchen had just withdrawn his gaze from Jiang Lingxi’s back.

Obviously, he was the first to et the Su siblings and even took them to ride to the hotel. Yet, the Su sister visibly relied more on Jiang Lingxi, whom they t later, which made the young man feel a bit disappointed in his perceived "manliness".

Chen Weiwen led the way, taking everyone through an ancient and quaint large gate. Inside the courtyard full of greenery, a lady wearing an ink-colored cheongsam was already waiting.

Seeing Chen Weiwen, she greeted with a smile: "Director Chen."

"Ms. Luan," Chen Weiwen stepped forward and shook hands with her, "we will be imposing on you today."

"No need to be formal, Director Chen. The studio is already set up, shooting can start anyti."

"Great, let introduce a few guests we have this trip."

When Jiang Lingxi and Jing Huai were introduced, Ms. Luan, who seed very young, gave the two of them an extra glance, "It’s the first ti a star has stepped into my studio, welco to both of you."

Jing Huai glanced back and naturally complinted: "Ms. Luan, managing such a large studio, you are indeed young and promising."

"Thanks for the praise."

Jing Huai slightly adjusted the glasses on his nose bridge, a glint flashing in his eyes.

He didn’t expect the studio owner to be a woman, especially such a young one.

Even though she appeared to give him and Jiang Lingxi an extra welco, he didn’t hear any particular excitent, as if it was just a courtesy.

He and the other non-celebrity guests just had one more identity, nothing different.

Being used to the perks of being a star, this situation made him a bit uncomfortable.

Jiang Lingxi had already gone ahead to look at the two wooden scrolls hanging by the sides of the front entrance.

The couplets were simple.

Upper scroll: The Four Treasures of the Study.

Lower scroll: Pen, Ink, Paper, Inkstone.

The characters, however, were not simple.

Iron stroke and silver hook, elegant and graceful, yet unyielding.

"Good characters!"

Luan Zhiyu was about to lead everyone inside when she halted, turned back to look at Jiang Lingxi, then followed her gaze to the couplet in front of her, a genuine smile appearing on her face, "Thank you for the complint, these words were written by my grandfather, and have been passed down to ."

"Luan?" Lu Sen hadn’t thought much about it initially, but now, prompted, he also looked at the couplet, a flash of realization hitting him, "Is it Luan Xifeng the master?"

"My grandfather."

Lu Sen imdiately restrained his arrogance, "I used to copy the calligraphy of the master Luan when I was learning calligraphy as a child, I didn’t notice before, my apologies, my apologies."

Luan Zhiyu had just heard from Chen Weiwen’s introduction, "I heard Director Chen say your surna is Lu, so..."

"My family’s ancestor, Lu Ling."

"So you’re a descendant of Lu Ling, it is indeed my honor to et you today."

"Everyone, please co in."

Jing Huai could sense Luan Zhiyu’s genuine enthusiasm toward Jiang Lingxi and Lu Sen: "..."

Before entering, he couldn’t help but take another look at those eight characters.

Luan the master, huh?

It looks like she knows quite a lot!

"The studio is divided into four main areas, categorized by pen, ink, paper, and inkstone. Among them, the areas of pen, ink, and paper are divided into a viewing area and an experience area. The inkstone is more special, with only viewing permission. The viewing area is further classified into touchable and untouchable sections. Next, the persons in charge of each area will lead you on a tour. Those interested can also experience various kinds of pen, ink, and paper firsthand or personally make a pen or a sheet of paper with the guidance of a teacher."

After Luan Zhiyu finished speaking, she promptly introduced the four leaders within her studio.

Chen Weiwen had already moved out of the cara’s view, gesturing for the guests to move freely.

Seeing this, Jing Huai was the first to speak up and suggest: "Why don’t we tour one section at a ti, that way, the teachers can explain and introduce each area to us?"

No one had any objections.

The first stop was the brush gallery.

Going around an ancient and quaint screen, they entered a paradise of brushes.

There were thin ones the size of a pencil lead and palm length, as well as those chest-high that required both hands to hold. The brush handles ca in any imaginable material, with gold and wood being the most ordinary among them, and even stone or jade. So handles had various patterns carved on them, while others remained simple and understated.

Su Yi, upon entering, found her eyes utterly not enough to take it all in. Seeing the hundreds of brushes displayed and hanging all around, each unique, she couldn’t help but open her mouth wide, struck speechless.

Although the others didn’t react as strongly as she did, they too were mightily impressed.

Qian Yaya couldn’t help herself from stopping in front of a set of brushes suitable for ticulous brush painting and eagerly asked the person in charge coming over, "Teacher, are the brushes here for sale?"

"Not for sale," When Qian Yaya was about to show a disappointed expression, the person in charge smiled and continued, "However, we do accept custom orders. Since they are handmade, the production ti may inevitably be long, and as for the cost..."

"I’ll order, I’ll order right now, where do I pay the deposit?"

Everyone: "..."

Does this girl even rember they are here to record a show, not to shop!
