As she got off the car, Jiang Lingxi saw a near one-to-one replica of the Yinhe Palace.

The reason to add "near" is because, upon closer inspection, there are still so noticeable differences.

After all, the real Yinhe Palace has stood for over a thousand years. Even though it has been carefully restored over the generations, it still carries the weight of history.

But this replica of the Yinhe Palace looks much newer, you could even faintly sll the paint, and it lacks that sense of grandeur.

However, at first glance, she had to admit, "It really looks similar!"

Tong Yue got off the car right after, and upon hearing her words, laughed, "Isn’t it? Ever since this replica of the Yinhe Palace was completed here at the film city, over ninety percent of palace and court dramas have used this place for shooting. Initially, many viewers thought it was fild at the Yinhe Palace Museum until the tourist passage was opened up and they realized there was this one-to-one replica. You’ll be filming here for a while too."

They had just stood still and said barely a few words, when Jiang Lingxi saw a girl in a red baseball cap co out from a side door ahead. After glancing around, she jogged over to them, "Hello, Ms. Jiang, I’m the assistant of the ’Yuanzhao Empress’ crew, you can call Xiaoxia. I’m here to escort you inside."

Jiang Lingxi glanced at the words "Yuanzhao Empress" embroidered on the baseball cap she was wearing, then at the work badge hanging around her neck, and nodded slightly, "Hello."

Xiaoxia visibly relaxed, "Please follow ."

It took about five minutes to walk from the parking lot to the crew’s fitting room. Upon entering a courtyard through a vermillion gate, the air seed to get several degrees warr instantly.

The courtyard was quite spacious, after all, it was a one-to-one scale replica of the Yinhe Palace, and Yinhe Palace itself was quite spacious.

But the place was full of people.

The crew mbers, along with the actors who had already arrived and their assistants, made the courtyard appear bustling with activity.

It was not until Xiaoxia opened one of the doors that Jiang Lingxi felt her ears get so relief.

Inside was relatively spacious, and the setup felt familiar. There were four dressing mirrors placed against the wall, and the makeup counter was filled with all sorts of costics, but only one seat in front of the mirrors was occupied.

Jiang Lingxi’s eyes t with the gaze looking back at her through the mirror.

The person couldn’t help but wave a greeting, "Hi, Lingxi, good morning!"

"You’re earlier."

"I got a ride with my uncle, he went to a eting with the producer and so others, so I decided to co early and start my makeup. Historical costus take so long, I hope I can finish in ti for lunch."

Tong Yue and Lu Zhengzheng followed in, greeted Wei Minmin who was sitting at the makeup counter.

Wei Minmin was evidently more familiar with the place, and even though the makeup artist was working on her face, it didn’t stop her from talking, "Take a seat, you guys just got here, so take a break, by the way, there are drinks in the mini fridge. Lingxi, you can sit at the makeup counter next to mine. During the filming here, the crew’s makeup is done here, but the other makeup artist just went for breakfast and hasn’t returned yet, so you’ll have to wait a bit."

Jiang Lingxi looked in the direction she pointed. The makeup counter and costics were mostly the sa, the only difference being the character nas affixed next to the mirrors.

She was Jiang Yuanzhao, Wei Minmin’s was Wei Fuying, next to Wei Minmin was Fu Qingshan, and further to the right was Jiang Ling’an.

So it seems this makeup room was for the four of them to share.

Wei Minmin noticed her gaze and explained, "There are many actors this ti, and this is the only courtyard that can be modified at will, so individual makeup rooms couldn’t be arranged."

"It’s quite fine, makeup takes so long, and it’s nice to have soone to chat with when bored."

"Hehe, I think the sa, at least now I have you, Lingxi, to chat with."

After a short wait, a voice ca from outside, "Ms. She, this way."

Jiang Lingxi, Tong Yue, and Lu Zhengzheng all turned their heads towards the doorway.

They saw She Man, dressed in casual wear, being led over by Xiaoxia, followed by several others, but she only recognized the front two, one a manager and one an assistant.

Tong Yue couldn’t help but glance at the lone-standing Lu Zhengzheng beside her.

She sighed internally, a real actress’s grand entrance.

Then she consoled herself: our artist is the leading lady!

When She Man reached the doorway and saw Jiang Lingxi sitting inside, making eye contact with her, her steps montarily paused.

Then she noticed Wei Minmin already putting on makeup at the adjacent seat, followed by the character nas affixed next to the makeup mirrors.

She couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

The two of them couldn’t have taken the wrong seats, so there was only one explanation.

Yesterday’s guessing ga with her agent turned out to be in her favor, but her heart was still full of mixed feelings and confusion.

Just how did Jiang Lingxi manage to beat Xu Qingi for the leading role?

She didn’t dare to question Director Wei’s choice, but she was indeed puzzled.

Looks like the answer will only reveal itself in the coming days!

"Sister Man." Jiang Lingxi was the first to greet.

She Man snapped back to reality and smiled, "It’s been a while, and now we’re coworkers again, this ti as mother and daughter."

Wei Minmin’s ears perked up, catching a keyword, "Again?"

Jiang Lingxi glanced at her, "We once recorded an episode of a slow-paced variety show together with Sister Man."

"Ah, how co I haven’t seen it?"

This ti it was She Man, who had already reached the makeup counter and sat down, who answered, "It hasn’t aired yet, but it will soon."

"I probably won’t have ti to watch it, our Director Wei, we’re grateful enough to have ti for als and sleep."

She Man turned to allow her personal makeup artist to set up her costics on the table, "Director Wei’s demands on actors are indeed high, but the quality of the final product is high too. A bit of hard work is worth it."

"If Ms. She can withstand it, then we juniors shouldn’t complain about being tired," realizing that she had been focusing just on conversing with She Man, Wei Minmin quickly turned to Jiang Lingxi, "Isn’t that right, Lingxi?"

Jiang Lingxi nodded to her, "As long as there’s ti to eat and sleep, it’s fine."

If it were like a forced march in her past life where she went without food or drink for hundreds of miles, her current body would definitely not handle it well.

"Yeah, our wishes are that small, hopefully, Director Wei can et them."

She Man subconsciously used a bit more force on her grip on the makeup counter.

Though Wei Minmin and Jiang Lingxi only exchanged a few simple words, it was evident that their relationship was quite good.

If she rembered correctly, the first ti they interacted should have been during the audition a while back.

How did they beco so close in such a short period?

Noticing She Man’s probing gaze, Jiang Lingxi gave her a straightforward smile.

There’s a term for this, it’s called a connection!
