SMACK!

Shen Fanyun tilted his head, then chose another comfortable angle. SMACK! The blow was so forceful that Han Wenshan felt like his head was about to split open.

Lu Jinshu, Li Ruoshui, and the other faculty mbers from the school were all utterly shocked. This Shen Fanyun is too domineering! Even Li Ruoshui seed to see him in a new light. He really had changed. The once-naive young man had finally beco a thing of the past.

Han Wenshan’s face was beaten completely out of shape. He struggled to say sothing, but when the words reached his lips, he didn’t know where to begin.

"I like people who are obedient," Shen Fanyun said with a smile, his arms dangling casually as if he were just having a pleasant chat with Han Wenshan.

However, faced with Shen Fanyun’s expression, Han Wenshan felt anything but at ease. That’s a devil’s smile!

"Old man, you shouldn’t keep this one around. Fire him," Shen Fanyun suggested to Lu Jinshu.

Lu Jinshu was deep in thought. In truth, he had long wanted to kick Han Wenshan out of the school. Unfortunately, this dean of instruction had an astonishingly powerful background. He was rumored to be a distant relative of *that person*. Lu Jinshu worried that Han Wenshan would seek revenge, which could entangle him and his family. He personally didn’t care what happened to him at his age, but if his family was involved—especially his precious granddaughter—the risk simply wasn’t worth it. People in his position often found their hands were tied.

Han Wenshan suddenly perked up, a manic energy in his eyes. He sneered, biting his bloodied lip. "In Hangcheng No.1 Middle School, no one dares to fire ."

"If you don’t believe , ask Lu Jinshu. Ask him if he dares to fire ."

Lu Jinshu remained silent.

Shen Fanyun scratched his head. "So that’s how it is."

"Young man, you clearly don’t know how famous my distant relative is in Hangcheng City," Han Wenshan said, growing more excited with each word.

It seed all he had to do was say the na, and Shen Fanyun would be so terrified he’d imdiately get on his knees, kowtow, and beg for forgiveness.

Shen Fanyun played dumb. "And who might that be?"

"Heh, my distant relative is—" Han Wenshan began, but before he could finish, Shen Fanyun slapped him again.

"It’s just Han Long. Nothing to fear."

Han Long was, indeed, Han Feng’s father.

Han Wenshan ignored the pain. "You know?"

"Since you know, you still dare treat like this? Aren’t you afraid that Mr. Han, in a fit of rage, will make you pay a terrible price?"

In Hangcheng City, who didn’t know Han Long? This newly minted richest man in Hangcheng City was so powerful he could cover the sky with one hand. Throughout the entire city, there wasn’t a single person who dared not show the influential figure so respect. To put it bluntly, by relying on Han Long’s na, Han Wenshan could practically walk sideways through Hangcheng No.1 Middle School. In the past, even the old principal, Lu Jinshu, was unwilling to offend him rashly.

This was the terrifying power and influence of such a figure. The man himself didn’t even need to be present. The re ntion of his na had an imdiate effect.

However, Han Wenshan, whose trump card had never failed him before, had today run into a young man who showed no regard for Han Long whatsoever. Is this kid... out of his mind? This is Hangcheng City, Han Long’s stronghold. To be so dismissive on soone else’s turf... is it the foolhardiness of youth? Clearly not. This is just sheer arrogance, a complete ignorance of his own place in the world.

"Heh! If word of this gets to Mr. Han, believe it or not, by tomorrow you’ll be a corpse at the bottom of the river, vanished without a trace!" Han Wenshan bellowed at Shen Fanyun.

Shen Fanyun rubbed his face with his hands and sighed. "I haven’t been back in over a decade. Has Han Long really achieved such a high status?"

"It’s a good thing his fa has risen so much. Otherwise, if I were to make my move one day and he was utterly defenseless, wouldn’t that just be too boring?"

At these words, both Lu Jinshu and Han Wenshan froze. Lu Jinshu, in particular, scrutinized Shen Fanyun’s features carefully, finally catching a glimr of familiarity in his brow.

"You..." A familiar na flashed through Lu Jinshu’s mind. "Your surna is Shen?"

"Old man, you’ve finally recognized !" Shen Fanyun smiled.

"Fanyun!" Lu Jinshu’s mouth fell open. His expression shifted from disbelief to shock, then bewildernt, and finally a complex mix of emotions. He was on the verge of tears of joy.

"Whoa, whoa, stop. At your age, let’s not do this," Shen Fanyun said, waving his hand to signal Lu Jinshu to get his emotions under control. He couldn’t stand sappy, sentintal scenes.

Lu Jinshu chided him with a wry smile. "You little brat. Still as sharp-tongued as ever."

"Fanyun? Shen Fanyun?" Han Wenshan exclaid in disbelief. "You’re *that* Shen Fanyun? The one Mr. Han drove out of Hangcheng City in front of the entire school? You... you actually dare to co back!"

This was truly hard to accept. He had disappeared for over a decade. I thought he’d left his hotown behind and would amount to nothing for the rest of his life. Who would’ve thought he’d co back today? And compared to ten years ago, he’s completely transford. He’s like a different person. Is he trying to stage so kind of ’return of the king’ drama? The very idea is both thrilling and painfully juvenile.

Han Wenshan snorted, amused by his own ridiculous thought. Han Long is a god-like figure, the man who sits firmly in the number one seat in Hangcheng City. He’s a ruthless leader who stands above tens of thousands. For a re nobody like Shen Fanyun, even if he’s accomplished sothing, to dream of standing against Han Long as an equal... it’s pure fantasy!

"You aren’t actually delusional enough to think you could bring Mr. Han down one day, are you? Haha! It sounds exciting, I’ll give you that, but you need to face reality," Han Wenshan scoffed. "To put it bluntly, Mr. Han probably doesn’t even know an ant like you exists, hahaha!" Han Wenshan shook his head and laughed, his words dripping with contempt.

Shen Fanyun said, "That’s exactly why I’m letting you go. You can run along and report to Han Long. Help jog his mory. As long as he hasn’t gone senile, he should be able to rember who I am."

Han Wenshan was speechless.

Has this guy gone mad? Is he really going to challenge Han Long? How is that any different from suicide?

"You can get lost now," Shen Fanyun said, patting Han Wenshan’s swollen cheek.

Han Wenshan still couldn’t accept this reality. In his mind, Han Long was omnipotent in Hangcheng City, able to command the wind and summon the rain. No local dared to cross him. Shen Fanyun’s provocation was a grave desecration of Han Long’s authority. It was unforgivable! Unpardonable!

Han Wenshan sneered coldly.

SMACK!

Shen Fanyun raised his hand and slapped him across the face. "From now on, you’re not to set foot in this school again. Now, get lost."

Han Wenshan cried out in pain but ultimately didn’t dare to linger, lest he get beaten again for no reason. This kid is dangerously unpredictable. The best choice right now is to avoid him and get as far away as possible.

"Kid, you’ll pay for this arrogance!" Han Wenshan spat out before beating a hasty retreat.
