After Shen Fanyun parked the car, Su Xiyang slowly stepped out. Is this woman really treating as her personal driver?
"Boss Su, please slow down. Be careful not to twist your ankle," Shen Fanyun reminded her, feigning kindness.
As expected, Su Xiyang just rolled her eyes at him.
Shen Fanyun smiled and looked around, spotting an especially conspicuous Bentley SUV. This newly launched, ultra-luxury vehicle was still a novelty in Hangcheng City, and many people would occasionally turn their heads to admire it.
Shen Fanyun was no stranger to this car; it was Xu Bingqing’s. He had seen it and even ridden in it just last night. In other words, Xu Bingqing is here today too?
"Foes are bound to cross paths," Shen Fanyun muttered.
Su Xiyang asked curiously, "What did you say?"
"It’s nothing." Shen Fanyun shook his head and then asked, "Shall we go in now?"
"Go in?" Su Xiyang sighed. If she actually had the influence to co and go freely from the Brilliant Building and drink with the big shots... wouldn’t that be as miraculous as her ancestors’ graves bellowing smoke?
The Brilliant Building was rumored to be a new office tower purchased by so super-tycoon from Capital City. Pretty much everyone who was anyone locally had co for today’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. Those who couldn’t attend in person were simply tied up with other matters, like Han Feng’s father, who was currently on a research trip abroad and not in Hangcheng City.
A crowd was bustling outside the building. While it seed lively, everyone was very orderly. The rows of chairs set up outside the entrance were for the less influential, minor wealthy families like theirs. To put it plainly, they were just there to fill the seats. Even so, a spot in the front row wasn’t sothing just anyone could get.
Su Xiyang was seated in the second row.
"The sun is scorching. Making my darling sit out here... what if her skin gets damaged?" Shen Fanyun was genuinely distressed. After all, he was quite fond of this beauty. If the sun made her skin rough, he would be the one suffering by extension.
Su Xiyang looked up. The temperature today was indeed outrageously high. If only I’d known to bring a sun hat.
"How about this? I’ll get you an invitation so you can wait inside," Shen Fanyun suggested.

Not long ago, Su Xiyang had a confrontation with this young woman at the entrance of the Yunxiao Hotel. Thanks to his tily intervention, the crisis had been averted. According to Su Xiyang, the Su and Gu families were mortal enemies. As a result, she and Gu Duo were also at odds and were guaranteed to clash whenever they t.
"Su Xiyang, do you have any idea what the Su Family’s standing is?" Gu Duo mocked, staring at Su Xiyang with a smirk. "Even if everyone else here got an invitation, there’s no way your family could. "You bastard! I’ve been looking for you for ages, and now I’ve finally caught you!" Gu Duo snarled, baring her teeth.
Shen Fanyun feigned ignorance. "Looking for ? Have you fallen for my unparalleled beauty?"
"Get lost!" Gu Duo snapped. "Have you already forgotten the slap you gave ?"
So she’s here for revenge.
"Don’t think you’re untouchable just because you have so connection to the Yunxiao Hotel! Now that you’ve fallen into my hands, you won’t escape even if you grow wings!"
Not wanting to get entangled with Gu Duo, Su Xiyang told Shen Fanyun, "Let’s go sit down. Wasting ti on people like her is aningless."
"Heh, didn’t you just say you were going into the inner area? I’m still waiting to have my eyes opened! President Su, don’t leave! Let us small fry bask in your glory," Gu Duo pressed, her voice growing louder.
As Gu Duo’s voice amplified, Su Xiyang instantly beca the center of attention, with gazes coming from all directions.

"Haha, if the Su Family really had that kind of pull, Old Master Su wouldn’t be a no-show today. To put it bluntly, he’s too ashad. Look how far the once-great family has fallen!"

Gu Duo crossed her arms, savoring the sight of Su Xiyang’s fuming, embarrassed expression. Finally, a chance to humiliate you in public.
"Don’t associate with Wang Yanwen. I have nothing to do with him, thank you," Su Xiyang corrected firmly.
Just then, Su Ziye also appeared on the scene.
Hearing the crowd’s disdainful and mocking discussion of his grandfather, Su Ziye’s anger flared. "Su Xiyang, what have you done now?! You’ve completely dragged the Su Family’s na through the mud! Can’t you just keep a low profile for once? Hmph! I’m definitely telling Grandfather when we get back. You are a massive disappointnt to our family!"
