At the sa ti, a towering murderous intent for Shen Fanyun surged within him. That butcher, that cruel butcher, had so brazenly and casually ended a young girl's life. The onlookers' eyes were wide, the scene delivering a massive shock to their systems. This man had actually killed Yu Tai's granddaughter, and right in front of Yu Tai himself, the old patriarch of the Yu family.
From Yu Tai's perspective, how could he allow his granddaughter to pay with her life for a worthless, insignificant commoner? It was no wonder the old patriarch was losing his mind. After all, people were born different, with inherent distinctions of class and status. Their lives were not equivalent!
"You're too ruthless!" Yu Tai roared, his eyes bloodshot. "So many people are watching, and you still dared to act! Do you think you can do whatever you want in Hangcheng City?"
Shen Fanyun sneered. This old fool was the perfect embodint of shalessness and double standards.
"When your granddaughter beat an innocent bystander to death in public, where was this outrage of yours? Did she have any humanity?" Shen Fanyun questioned. "Now that it's your turn to face the sa consequences, you're starting to cry foul and feel the pain? You're well aware this is in public, under everyone's gaze. How did your granddaughter act then? Wasn't she the one being lawless?"
Struck by the volley of questions, Yu Tai was rendered speechless. He opened his mouth as if to say sothing, but the words wouldn't co.
"Yes or no?" Shen Fanyun's tone turned frigid.
Yu Tai remained silent.
SLAP!
Shen Fanyun's slap sent blood flying from Yu Tai's mouth, his cheek swelling instantly.
"If you want to be a villain and act without restraint, then see it through to the end. Be arrogant, ignore everything and everyone.
"Don't suddenly hide behind a flag of sanctimony, whining about how you've been wronged.
"And you have the gall to question ? The current outco is simply you reaping what you sowed. It's a well-deserved death.
"When you treated others the sa way, did you ever stop to think that you might face the sa fate one day?"
SLAP!
After striking him again, Shen Fanyun asked with mock concern, "Are you awake now?"
This is an absolute disgrace. A humiliation of the highest order for the Yu family.
"Go collect her body," Shen Fanyun reminded him coolly.
Yu Tai bit out each word, his voice strained but forceful. "I will make you pay for this. I hope you stay in Hangcheng City instead of running away with your tail between your legs."
Shen Fanyun scoffed. "Do you know why I'm letting an old scumbag like you live? Surely you don't think that after daring to kill your granddaughter, I'd be afraid to touch a worthless old fool like you?"
Yu Tai had no reply.
He was right.
Shen Fanyun had just executed Yu Dan right in front of him, so why would he fear Yu Tai? They were already mortal enemies; killing one or two made no real difference.
"Don't flatter yourself. Who do you think you are, that I'd have to flee just for offending you? If you really had the power, you wouldn't be standing here just blustering about revenge after I killed your precious granddaughter. You've taken no real action at all. You just stand there barking like a mad dog. And from what our elders taught us about raising dogs, the ones that bark the loudest are the least likely to bite."
Yu Tai's face flushed crimson, utterly humiliated by Shen Fanyun's words.
He was right. If I really had the power, I'd be fighting Shen Fanyun to the death right now. I wouldn't be waiting around, banking on so future day for a gentleman's revenge.
"Get lost," Shen Fanyun barked.
Yu Tai's composure completely shattered. His fists clenched, veins bulging on his temples. However, a profound sense of powerlessness washed over him, leaving the old man with no choice but to swallow his humiliation.
"Collect the body!" After a long mont, those two words finally escaped his lips. At this point, his only option was to tuck his tail between his legs and flee. This Shen Fanyun's skills were on another level; he could do as he pleased in Hangcheng City. Anyone who confronted him without a foolproof plan was bound to suffer.
"Off you go," Shen Fanyun said with a snap of his fingers.
With that, he walked over to the store manager and looked down at the woman who had mocked him and Lin iqing earlier.
"You… you… I… I…" she stamred, dropping to her knees without a second thought. "I'm sorry, sir! I'm so sorry! I know I was wrong! I was blind and failed to recognize your greatness! I'm sorry!"
She was terrified. This man didn't even care about the Yu family, so what was a nobody like her to him? The remaining staff held their breath, not daring to make a sound.
"Slap yourself," Shen Fanyun ordered.

SLAP. SLAP.
The manager didn't hesitate, landing two heavy slaps on her own face. Worried it wasn't enough, she quickly added a few more.
"The bill," Shen Fanyun said, holding out his bank card to a clerk.
The trembling clerk processed the paynt. Long after Shen Fanyun and Lin iqing had left, the staff still hadn't recovered from the shock.
"That almost ruined our good mood for shopping," Shen Fanyun murmured, wrapping an arm around Lin iqing's graceful figure.
Lin iqing shot him an exasperated glare. "I think you actually enjoyed yourself."
"Ha, eliminating a nace to society is indeed sothing to be proud of," Shen Fanyun mused. A bad seed like Yu Dan, if she hadn't died today, would have gone on to harm countless innocent people, perhaps even costing them their lives. Soone like that didn't deserve to live.
"Mm, you did well. You'll be rewarded handsoly tonight," Lin iqing promised.
Shen Fanyun was speechless.
Auntie, are you rewarding ? Or am I the one rewarding you? Who's really rewarding whom here?
"What? You're not happy about it?" Lin iqing pinched his side sharply.
Shen Fanyun grimaced. How could he dare to be unhappy? This beautiful auntie was not soone to be provoked.
