Shen Fanyun had already arranged a new residence for Lin iqing and Lin Jia.

Considering that a luxury mansion would create unnecessary psychological pressure for the mother-daughter duo, he had secured them a new house just a tier above the average residence. The building was only a year old, so the complex and its exterior were in pristine condition, offering a high level of comfort.

Nearing the entrance to their apartnt building, Lin Jia didn’t go up imdiately. Instead, she smiled and said, "I’m going to buy so groceries."

"Alright, be careful on your way," Lin iqing instructed.

Shen Fanyun felt like his head was about to explode.

"Okay, I know, Mom," Lin Jia said as she quickly left.

Shen Fanyun stood rooted to the spot, not daring to even glance at Lin iqing.

Lin iqing wasn’t in a hurry to rush him. She simply stood with her hands clasped, staring unblinkingly at Shen Fanyun, who was right in front of her. With no other option, Shen Fanyun placed a hand on his hip and said, "I’ll have a smoke first."

"Sure," Lin iqing agreed.

"The moon is so big and round tonight," Shen Fanyun remarked slowly while smoking, attempting to change the subject and distract Lin iqing. If I can just hold out until Jiajia gets back with the groceries, I can probably get through this.

Unexpectedly, Lin iqing said flatly, "It’s dayti. What moon?"

"Well, then... the sun is big and round," Shen Fanyun mumbled, shrinking back.

A faint smile played on Lin iqing’s lips. "You’ve finished your cigarette," she reminded him. "Let’s go, Director. Co on up to my new ho."

Shen Fanyun wanted to cry but had no tears. He was on the verge of begging for rcy. How can this woman be so assertive? Just the thought of what was about to happen made his legs weak.

"Can’t walk?" Lin iqing asked with a knowing smile. "It’s okay," she said, glancing around to make sure no one was nearby. "I’ll help you along."

She pulled Shen Fanyun into the hallway and quickly pressed the elevator button. Half-pushed and half-complying, Shen Fanyun was brought upstairs.

CLICK.

The sound of the key turning in the lock reached his ears. A bitter expression washed over Shen Fanyun’s face.

"Auntie..." he tried, attempting a playful grin.

Lin iqing opened the door with one hand while grabbing the collar of his shirt with the other, pulling them both into the new two-hundred-square-ter apartnt.

HISS.

The next second, he felt the touch of Lin iqing’s fair, smooth fingers, and his body betrayed him with an imdiate reaction.

"It’s great to be young," Lin iqing purred, her eyes shining with satisfaction as if she’d just discovered a rare treasure. "So responsive to the slightest touch."

Her fingers moved back and forth, deliberately teasing and playing with him.

Shen Fanyun wanted to slap himself. Why couldn’t my little brother behave for once? Why couldn’t he just stay soft? Now I’m completely done for. I’ve given her the perfect opening. Since I can’t fight it... I might as well just enjoy it.

Lin iqing bit her lip softly and swayed her hips as she squatted down in front of him. Then, as if rembering sothing, she stopped. She stood up, poured a cup of lukewarm water, and held it in her mouth.

Afterward, she squatted before Shen Fanyun again, like a devoted servant. Lost in the mont, Shen Fanyun slowly embraced her head.

GASP.

In an instant, his blood rushed through his veins. The unique sensation made every hair on his body stand on end.

Shen Fanyun exhaled sharply, signaling for her to rise.

Lin iqing smiled, her lightly rouged lips drawing close to his. "What’s wrong?" Her fragrant breath sent his head spinning.

His hands unconsciously moved to her hips, and at his touch, her breathing quickened.

GASP.

After a long mont, punctuated by a low grunt from Shen Fanyun, the world seed to fall silent. He felt he had beco a true Sage, empty of all desire.

Lin iqing and Shen Fanyun looked at each other.

"It’s a pity Jiajia is here, otherwise, I would have you stay the night," she said. "But it doesn’t matter, there will be other opportunities. Moreover, we no longer have to squeeze onto one bed. I have my own big bed now, and Jiajia has her own bedroom."

As Lin iqing spoke, a wave of emotion washed over her. After all these years of raising Lin Jia through hardship, had she truly been satisfied and content? Looking back now, she realized that she had, in fact, felt a little wronged. She had spent year after year in a cramped, dreary apartnt complex, lacking her own private bathroom, dressing room, or walk-in closet. She didn’t even have her own bedroom, always sharing a bed with her daughter in a dimly lit space of only thirty or fifty square ters.

Ultimately, she was still a woman who longed to be cherished, cared for, and caressed. If Shen Fanyun hadn’t appeared in her life, she might never have known what it felt like to be so pampered. That was why she wanted to repay him in every way she could—by giving him everything she had.

"Thank you," Lin iqing said earnestly, embracing him.

"Why so sentintal all of a sudden?" Shen Fanyun laughed.

"It’s nothing." Lin iqing quickly turned away. "Jiajia will be back soon. You sit and rest. I’ll make you so tea."

Shen Fanyun quickly straightened his clothes and sat down on the sofa, trying to look as proper as possible.

"I’m back!" Lin Jia called as she pushed the door open.

Shen Fanyun was pretending to watch TV, his attention mostly on his phone, when a fleeting image on the screen made him pause. It was a music performance show. On the TV, a young woman with a cool haircut, wearing a leather jacket and holding a guitar, sat quietly on so steps, humming a folk song.

"Wow, Director, you have great taste! I’ve beco a huge fan of hers recently," Lin Jia said with a smile. "She only debuted a month ago and already has three hit songs. She’s a really impressive newcor."

Shen Fanyun rubbed his chin. The young woman on the screen was none other than Lu Feiyan.

So, according to Lin Jia, she’s the hottest new star? Impeccable resources, exposure, and talent...

"Lu Feiyan," Shen Fanyun murmured.

"Director, you know her?" Lin Jia asked curiously.

"We were classmates," Shen Fanyun admitted.

"Wow!" Lin Jia’s eyes lit up with excitent. "Are you two close? Are you still in touch? Director, do you think you could get an autographed photo of her? I love her stage presence and her voice so much."

Shen Fanyun smiled. It’s been a long ti since I’ve contacted Lu Feiyan, hasn’t it? So much so that she’d been famous for a month, and he was only just now finding out. Besides, if I didn’t contact her, why didn’t she contact ? Did she get a big head after soaring to stardom and decide to cut off? Are we just strangers now?

"I’ll get you an autograph if I have the chance," Shen Fanyun assured Lin Jia.

Lin Jia cheered joyfully.

Shen Fanyun, however, was still pondering why Lu Feiyan hadn’t contacted him.
