Yuan Chong was not being blindly confident. Over the years, Hong Hai Capital had flourished, accumulating considerable connections and resources in Capital City. Furthermore, the conglorate’s comprehensive strength was far more formidable than what it appeared on the surface. Never mind crushing a small company from Hangcheng City; even in Capital City, very few dared to provoke Hong Hai Capital.

If I knew it would co to this, why beat around the bush? I should have just crushed Su Xiyang from the start, wouldn’t that have been easier?

Yuan Chong chided himself. From his perspective, if he had foreseen that Su Xiyang would fall out with Hong Hai Capital so drastically, he would have focused on pressuring her from the beginning. That would have been far better than coaxing and deceiving her with sweet talk and collaboration deals. At the very least, he could have found any other company in Hangcheng City to prop up and compete against Su Xiyang, which would have been enough to ruin her. Of all the choices, he had picked the most infuriating one.

Hmph, Su Xiyang, you’ll be on your knees, crying and begging for my forgiveness, he vowed. When that ti cos, I’ll have my fun with you. Just you wait!

While applying ointnt to the bruises on his face, Yuan Chong made a silent, resolute decision. At the sa ti, his hatred for Shen Fanyun festered.

That kid is too ruthless! He beat , a senior executive from Hong Hai Capital, to a pulp. One day, I swear I will flay him alive and grind his bones to dust to ease the anguish in my heart today.

...

After giving his instructions to Zhan Feng, Shen Fanyun enjoyed a long, deep sleep. As evening approached, he had dinner with Su Xiyang.

Today’s experience had been quite satisfying.

"I beat soone up, took a nap, and had a great al," Shen Fanyun remarked. "Now I’m just one step away from the grand slam."

Su Xiyang was speechless. Is this guy a thug? It seems like beating people up actually puts him in a good mood. Also, what’s this ’grand slam,’ and what’s the final missing piece?

Before Su Xiyang could ask, Shen Fanyun’s gaze fell upon her, his eyes tracing the stunning peaks and valleys of her figure. A aningful smile slowly spread across his lips.

"You!" Su Xiyang fud, waving her small, delicate fists.

Didn’t I give in just last night? And he wants to again tonight?

"Humph, if it weren’t for the fact that you protected , I’d kick you out right now," Su Xiyang gritted her silver teeth and declared, "This is the last night. I’m getting my period in a couple of days, so I need to rest."

Shen Fanyun raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Well then, tonight, we must battle for three hundred rounds!"

Su Xiyang was left speechless.

「The next day」

The entrance to the Hong Hai Capital headquarters in Capital City was suddenly plastered with flyers. They detailed a vast number of obscene and vulgar remarks made by Yuan Chong, one of the senior executives at Honghai Capital.

Of course, Shen Fanyun had also instructed Zhan Feng to hack into Yuan Chong’s phone. Good lord, the chat logs, complete with private photos, had all been leaked. In an instant, people not only questioned the character of this executive but also began to doubt the corporate culture of Hong Hai Capital. Yuan Chong’s chat records implicated other senior executives as well.

The conversations between the executives were filled with vulgar language, as they constantly talked about genitals. One day they’d be scheming to sleep with so beautiful woman, and the next they’d be forcing another to accompany them for drinks. There were even secretly taken photos.

Simultaneously, various major dia outlets coordinated their efforts, pushing the news about Hong Hai Capital to the top of the trending lists. Yuan Chong’s fat, greasy face, complete with a mouth full of yellow teeth, was publicly displayed for all to see. An uproar ensued. Hong Hai Capital had been forcibly thrust into the national spotlight in the most unimaginable way.

"This guy can be a boss? His head is filled with won, coercion, threats, and bribery..."

"He’s absolute scum. How can soone like him be a senior executive at Hong Hai Capital? Could it be that all the higher-ups there are of the sa ilk?"

"Why is no one investigating? This scum nad Yuan should be thrown in jail to rot!"

At that mont, blissfully unaware of the tidal wave of public opinion sweeping the nation, Yuan Chong was still fast asleep under his blankets. The peace was shattered by an urgent phone call.

Yuan Chong checked the caller ID. It was President Xu Haicong—a board mber, one of the owners, and his direct superior.

"Hello, boss?" Yuan Chong felt a surge of joy. Has the pressure campaign against Su Xiyang started? Is the boss calling personally with the good news?

"Goddammit, Yuan Chong, what the hell have you done? Why have your chat logs been leaked?"

"Setting other things aside, I told you to negotiate a partnership with Su Xiyang. How exactly did you carry out that assignnt?"

"You harassed her on the first day, tried to coerce and bribe her into keeping you company? Damn it, do you have any idea how much trouble you’ve brought upon Hong Hai Capital?"

Xu Haicong’s furious tirade left Yuan Chong, still lying in his warm bed, completely dumbfounded.

My mind is reeling. Could Su Xiyang have actually used so channel to send the chat history to the company? But that shouldn’t be too hard to handle, right?

"Heh, I got horny and wasn’t thinking straight, boss. My bad, my bad," Yuan Chong explained nonchalantly, a shaless grin on his face. He figured that since the bridges with Su Xiyang were already burned, and he and Xu Haicong were on the sa side, a verbal scolding would be the worst of it, no matter how angry his boss got.

"You dog! Even the big boss has been alerted! You’re going to prison, you idiot!"

Xu Haicong was seething. If not for the distance between them, he would have beaten Yuan Chong’s face to a pulp.

Yuan Chong was speechless.

Why is he so furious?

"Watch the news, you motherfucker," Xu Haicong urged.

Yuan Chong sensed sothing was seriously wrong and quickly turned on the hotel television. What he saw made him jump in shock. His own face suddenly took up three-quarters of the screen. This...

How on earth did I accidentally beco the man of the hour?

He looked closer at the channel—it was Capital City’s main news station. After another glance, a cold sweat broke out on his brow. How did things turn out like this?

"Boss, I don’t know what happened," Yuan Chong gasped, his breath hitching. With the scandal blown up this big, there would definitely be an investigation. His personal scandals had already caused a seriously negative impact on the company.

"Not even God himself can save you this ti."

"You idiot, you got played and you didn’t even know it! Can that brain of yours think about anything besides won?" Xu Haicong’s fury was unabated.

Yuan Chong, however, stamred, "Boss, don’t rush to scold . Shouldn’t our top priority be ergency PR?"

"With our influence, this kind of salacious news should never have been broadcast in the first place!"

A financial giant as large as Hong Hai typically has a public relations departnt with firm control over ergent crises. Usually, any such issues would be nipped in the bud.

Sothing seems very abnormal about today, doesn’t it?
