Although Wu Bin didn’t know Shen Fanyun’s background, the fact that he could make Wang Tuohai so furious and terrified was proof enough. This man is clearly soone I can’t afford to provoke.

In the end, Wu Bin had no choice but to present his face, allowing Shen Fanyun to deal with him. A single slap sent this so-called industry veteran sprawling on the ground like a dead dog.

The staff mbers on set were all dumbfounded. This is a legendary figure with a pivotal role in the entertainnt industry, and now... he’s in such a pathetic state.

"Will you be putting on airs next ti?" Shen Fanyun asked with a smile.

Wu Bin shook his head vigorously, his expression making it clear he would never dare again.

"What about him? Do you still need him?" Shen Fanyun asked, turning to Lu Feiyan.

"No, I don’t," Lu Feiyan replied.

"Alright then. You can get lost," Shen Fanyun ordered. As if granted amnesty, Wu Bin and his subordinates scrambled away, disappearing in the blink of an eye without so much as a backward glance.

"Good things take ti. If this one doesn’t work out, we’ll just find another," Shen Fanyun comforted Lu Feiyan, reminding her that Wu Bin wasn’t the only top-tier talent available.

After these two incidents, Lu Feiyan had co to a realization. That’s just how the entertainnt circle is; you can’t expect everyone to be a saint. To survive comfortably, you have to be strong, especially ntally.

"Don’t worry, I know how to adjust my mindset," Lu Feiyan said with a smile, reassuring Shen Fanyun.

He and Lu Feiyan had lunch together, and in the afternoon, Shen Fanyun returned ho.

Shen Bufan was at work, as usual. His overnight wealth hadn’t tempted him into a life of idle luxury. For an ordinary person, staying down-to-earth was the best option.

Qin Lian and Shen Zheng were now retired. In their spare ti, they either did handicrafts to earn a little extra money or simply stayed at ho.

"I’m staying here tonight," Shen Fanyun announced after hanging up his suit jacket.

Qin Lian was delighted. "That’s perfect! I’m making dumplings today."

"Great." He used to love the dumplings his mother made. After leaving ho, Shen Fanyun had never tasted them again. Even those made by top chefs still felt like they were missing sothing.

"Is Xiao Su coming today?" Qin Lian asked Shen Fanyun with a smile.

Shen Fanyun shook his head. "She’s busy at her company, so she won’t go through the trouble of coming all the way out here."

"Oh." A hint of disappointnt colored Qin Lian’s voice.

How could Shen Fanyun not understand? Sure enough, Qin Lian approached him and began to probe in a hushed, secretive tone, "How long have you and Xiao Su been dating?"

Dating? He and Su Xiyang had never actually been in a proper romantic relationship. Even now, Shen Fanyun didn’t know how to explain their current status to his mother. He couldn’t very well say they had been completely open with each other from their first eting, sharing the sa bed. After all, while he intended to take responsibility for Su Xiyang, that didn’t yet include discussions of marriage.

"You’re in your thirties now. It’s ti you got married," Qin Lian sighed. Both of her sons were single, and as a mother, she couldn’t help but be anxious.

Shen Fanyun felt a massive headache coming on. He just chuckled and said, "We’ll talk about it later."

"Later, always later. Oh, you..." Qin Lian was not satisfied with his response. "Xiao Su is a good girl. I like her a lot. In any case, you should strike while the iron is hot. Don’t keep a good girl waiting."

Shen Fanyun just smiled without saying a word. Su Xiyang is indeed exceptional, and her personality is quite good. But... aren’t Li Ruoshui and Lu Feiyan also otherworldly beauties?

During a break, Qin Lian and Shen Fanyun chatted about many things—their lives over the past few years, their current situations, and the ins and outs of family life. She also ntioned that after Shen Fanyun’s incident, she and his father had been all but socially ostracized. Old friends didn’t dare associate with them, and even their own relatives held grudges, blaming them for all the hardships and troubles in their own lives.

Shen Fanyun found it incomprehensible. What does any of that have to do with my parents? Han Long targeted and alone. He wouldn’t have bothered dealing with our relatives; first, it was unnecessary, and second, such small fry weren’t worth his energy.

"It’s all in the past," Qin Lian said, having co to terms with it. As long as Shen Fanyun was alive and well, all the suffering they had endured was worth it.

"The Han Family shouldn’t cause you trouble again, right?" Qin Lian asked cautiously.

"Whether he cos looking for is out of my hands," Shen Fanyun said. "As for ..." He smiled without finishing the sentence.

My feud with Han Long and the entire Han Family has to be settled sooner or later. Otherwise, what was the point of all my efforts over the past ten-plus years?

Hearing this, Qin Lian imdiately grew tense, her lips trembling. "Han Long is in Hangcheng City now! He’s a VIP of the highest order. Who would dare to provoke him? Fanyun, don’t be impulsive. We can’t afford to ss with people like that. It’s a trendous blessing that you’re alive and well. Don’t, please don’t ruin your life again!"

Shen Fanyun simply maintained his smile, offering no clear response to his mother’s earnest pleas.

Just then, Shen Zheng walked out, an expression on his face that suggested he had sothing difficult to say.

"We’re all family here. Just say what’s on your mind," Shen Fanyun prompted.

Shen Zheng hesitated for a long mont before saying seriously, "Ever since your incident, our family has been completely cut off from our relatives... Sigh, I don’t really know how to put it."

This had been weighing on Shen Zheng’s heart. He had always wanted to nd their family ties, but because of the past scandal, their relatives were terrified of being associated with them and chose to keep their distance. But then again, Shen Zheng was a simple, honest man. From his perspective, he hoped that if there was a chance, they could all be one big family again. So, he wanted to ask Shen Fanyun if they could invite his aunt and uncles for a casual al.

Shen Zheng didn’t bla them for their past behavior. After all, faced with such a disaster, anyone would choose to protect themselves. It was perfectly understandable. But now that Shen Fanyun was back and so many years had passed, wasn’t it ti for the family to start interacting again?

"I have no objection," Shen Fanyun nodded. However, from what I rember, neither my aunt nor my uncles are particularly kind-hearted people. They might not accept this olive branch. While Dad hopes for a family reunion, from their perspective, they probably want to stay as far away from this family of jinxes as possible.

"Good, good. It’s good you have no objections." Visibly cheered by Shen Fanyun’s definite answer, Shen Zheng bustled off to get busy.

"Just let the feud with the Han Family go. I’m an old woman now, and I don’t want to live in fear anymore, you understand?" Qin Lian pleaded earnestly, trying to persuade her son once more.

Feeling helpless, Shen Fanyun could only nod to placate her for the ti being.

anwhile, Shen Zheng took out his phone and dialed a number he hadn’t called in many years.
