Zhao Dahe moved the luggage of ng Yao, Zhao Xiaohua, and Wen Nuan over.

Indeed, as Zhao Dahe said, the courtyard was not big, but the scenery was very nice.

There was a grape arbor, a stone table, and stone benches.

ng Yao had a room to herself, while Zhao Xiaohua and Wen Nuan shared one.

As for Teacher Wang and Zhao Xiaoshu, Zhao Dahe arranged them in the second courtyard.

"The outermost area is where the scholars we befriended after arriving in Qingzhou Prefecture stay; the second area is where Wen Shu and I live, along with Sihai and his spouse," Zhao Dahe said.

Yue Sihai chuckled as he spoke, "Auntie, take a rest first. Once you’re ready, I’ll bring my wife over to et you."

ng Yao was a bit surprised, "You’ve gotten married, kid?"

"It happened when I went back this ti," Yue Sihai replied.

Wasn’t it just a few days after returning? You’ve resolved a lifelong matter already? That speed, impressive.

After settling in, ng Yao t Yue Sihai’s wife, Su Ye.

"Ye Zi, this is the mother of Brother Dahe. During the county exam, if it hadn’t been for the dicine that Dahe prepared for his aunt and shared with , I definitely wouldn’t have been able to finish the exam smoothly," Yue Sihai still spoke with a grateful look.

Su Ye was a petite and clever girl.

When she smiled, there were dimples on her cheeks, making her look obedient and cute.

The little girl wasn’t shy at all, "Auntie, just call Ye Zi. I am Sihai’s wife."

"Hello, Ye Zi," ng Yao greeted Su Ye and introduced Zhao Xiaohua and Wen Nuan to her.

"Hello, Ye Zi sister," Zhao Xiaohua and Wen Nuan greeted in unison.

"Hello, hello. I didn’t know you were coming, so I haven’t prepared any eting gifts. Well, I’ll cook sothing later to welco you and Auntie," Su Ye said happily. "Auntie, Dahe often talks about how good you are at cooking. I’ll learn from you when I get the chance."

Su Ye was enthusiastic and generous, but her sincerity was evident, so her enthusiasm did not make ng Yao uncomfortable.

While Su Ye was busy cooking, ng Yao considered that since she and Yue Sihai were newlyweds, she ought to give a eting gift, right?

She rummaged through the luggage but couldn’t find anything suitable.

Finally, she bought a box of traditional cream, similar to snow cream, from the system.

It was packed in a small wooden box, with the lid painted with a delicate lotus design that would surely appeal to anyone at first glance.

The system provided detailed instructions.

It’s made from ingredients obtainable in ancient tis.

However, ng Yao wasn’t particularly interested in such things at the mont.

"Mom, do you rember that person?" Zhao Dahe asked mysteriously.

"Who?" ng Yao looked puzzled.

"The one called Sihai, Sihai brother, who took the county exam with Sihai and tricked him," Zhao Dahe said.

That "Sihai brother" was indeed morable. As soon as Zhao Dahe ntioned it, ng Yao recalled Liu Feng.

"Why?" ng Yao asked.

"He’s a bunny boy," Zhao Dahe whispered.

ng Yao was shocked, and it took her a mont to find her voice, "Is he into Sihai?"

Zhao Dahe nodded.

ng Yao shivered, "What about Sihai?"

"Sihai is muscular; he blushes when he sees pretty girls, don’t you think?" Zhao Dahe said. "Do you know how he ca to marry Su Ye?"

ng Yao shook her head, how could she know?

"After the county exam, Yue Sihai’s father slaughtered four pigs to host a feast for neighbors. Su Ye, who was working at the Escort Agency, just finished a delivery and returned to the town. Her martial siblings dragged her to the feast. And that Liu Feng, in front of everyone, claid he had sothing going on with Dahe," ng Yao was shocked.

This kind of thing, even nowadays, wouldn’t be so bold, right?

Though ng Yao didn’t approve of such matters, emotions are unpredictable, so she didn’t discriminate.

However, there should be mutual affection involved, right?

Otherwise, it could cause serious trouble for one party.

If Yue Sihai’s family hosted a banquet with both parties consenting, nothing could be said.

But from Zhao Dahe’s words, Yue Sihai was clearly kept in the dark.

Choosing such a big occasion was purely to ruin Yue Sihai.

"How was it handled?" ng Yao asked.

"Sihai realized what was happening and scolded him to stop ssing around. Liu Feng, in front of the others, told Sihai to be brave and not care about others’ opinions. Mom, though Sihai is eloquent, facing that situation, he was speechless like a stitched-up gourd, his face turned red, unable to say anything in his defense. Just then, there were so who had grown up with them and regularly bullied Liu Feng, stirring trouble," Zhao Dahe said.

"No wonder Sihai protected Liu Feng since childhood, was he already choosing a wife?"

"No kidding, Liu Feng’s figure in won’s attire would look better than a woman,"

"Hey Uncle Yue, with so many neighbors here today, why not make things official between Sihai and Liu Feng?"

ng Yao listened and frowned, these people were too thoughtless.

"Uncle Yue was so furious his face turned purple, his body trembled. Suddenly Su Ye jumped up, tapped Uncle Yue’s chest a few tis. Uncle Yue was bigger than Sihai and got pushed back repeatedly, spitting out a mouthful of blood," Zhao Dahe continued.

"If not for Su Ye’s slaps, Sihai probably wouldn’t have co to Qingzhou Prefecture now," ng Yao said quietly.

"Exactly, Sihai was scared, grabbed Su Ye, wouldn’t let go, even hit his father until he spat blood! Su Ye said she wouldn’t leave, then told Sihai to call a doctor. After the doctor ca, he said if Uncle Yue hadn’t expelled the blood clots, it would have been ti to prepare for his final arrangents," Zhao Dahe said.

"And then, as gratitude for saving his father, Sihai pledged himself?" ng Yao asked.

"Not that simple, mom you forgot, Liu Feng was still there! He insisted he had sothing with Sihai, now Sihai was abandoning him after passing the county exam," Zhao Dahe smirked.

"So, what happened, tell how it was handled?" ng Yao asked.

"It was Su Ye; she asked Uncle Yue in front of everyone whether the childhood engagent between her and Sihai still counted. She said she was of age, if it counted, they should proceed with the marriage, if not, she would look for another husband," At this point, Zhao Dahe was animated, evidently greatly admiring Su Ye.

"Did the Yue Family and Su Family have a marriage agreent?" ng Yao asked.

Zhao Dahe shook his head, "No Su Family, Su Ye is a lone girl."

"So, she was just helping the Yue Family out of trouble?" ng Yao asked.

"It could be considered repaynt. When Su Ye was a little beggar, Uncle Yue gave her food several tis. There was even a ti he gave her pig’s feet stew, Su Ye said it was the best pig’s feet she ever had," Zhao Dahe sighed, "However, Uncle Yue didn’t rember at all."

"But given the situation, Uncle Yue would definitely agree. Rather than let Liu Feng ruin Sihai and the Yue Family’s reputation, it was better to accept Su Ye’s proposal," Zhao Dahe said.
