For several days in a row, Ye Li left ho early and returned late.
After having dinner and taking a stroll with Li Xueqing, she would take a bath and almost instantly fall asleep upon getting back into bed.
In just a few days, Ye Li’s originally small face seed to have beco even smaller, and her chin sharper.

"Fu Yanci, are you in the office?"
As she looked towards the top floor’s windows, Ye Li asked softly.
On the other end, Fu Yanci paused for a mont.
He pulled his phone away to check, confird that it was Sunday and not a weekday, and instead of answering, Fu Yanci asked, "Ah Li, where are you?"

Just as she was about to spill the beans, Ye Li played coy, "Fu Yanci, I’m near your company. Want to co find ?"
From Tuesday to Sunday, they hadn’t seen each other for six days.
Although they chatted on WeChat during the day and video-called before sleep, it was still different from eting in person.

The office building was quiet on the weekend, and most of the elevators were still at the first floor.
Only one was active, the numbers flickering until it reached 16.
With a soft "ding," Ye Li straightened up just in ti to see Fu Yanci stepping out of the elevator.
She paused in her gaze.
It was just a few days, yet had Fu Yanci gotten... even more handso?
After hanging up, she realized her mistake - on weekends, Fu Yanci couldn’t possibly be in the office.
Yet, there he was, dressed as if he had just co from a eting.
"You were just at a social event, weren’t you?"
Ye Li asked cautiously.
Fu Yanci nodded.
Ye Li’s eyes filled with regret, "Fu Yanci, I’m sorry, I didn’t know. If I had, I would have..."
Before she could finish, a rich sandalwood scent, aggressive and overpowering the mild fragrance in the air, enveloped her.
His long arms drew her close, his voice deep, "No social event is as crucial as Lady’s summon."
As his words fell, a kiss full of longing followed.
Their separation overflowed with yearning.
But with their reunion, what overflowed even more was anticipation.
Yet, Fu Yanci hadn’t expected that in just a few days, his Ah Li seed to have beco even more sensitive.
Just one kiss, and her face flushed as she lted into his embrace.
The blush on her cheeks and the defiant look in her eyes posed a significant challenge to him.
He let go before he lost control, bowed his head, and nuzzled Ye Li’s nose, "Ah Li, shall we go ho?"

Oh my god, she’d almost forgotten the most important thing!

Suppressing her embarrassnt, Ye Li pulled Fu Yanci toward 1601 and pointed at an unopened plaque covered with a red cloth, "The unveiling ceremony starts now, Uncle Fu, please!"
Her smile bright, her eyes filled with anticipation as she looked at him.
