Over a month had passed since Ye Li and Jiang Chengcheng had a falling out, and although they often encountered each other in the classroom and on campus, they tacitly chose to ignore each other.

Upon hearing from the plastic sisters in the social circle that Jiang Chengcheng and Zhou Hecchen were together, Ye Li imdiately realized why Jiang Chengcheng always looked at her with such a disdainful sneer.

She also belatedly realized why it was that every ti Zhou Hecchen ca to the university to find her, he could "coincidentally" run into Jiang Chengcheng on her way out, and then the two of them would leave campus together, or he’d offer to give her a lift.

Ye Li despised the saying, "Beware of fire, theft, and best friends."

To her, those who could stoop to stealing a friend’s man were never really best friends.

And a true best friend would never even entertain the slightest inappropriate thought about a friend’s man.

Thus, those girls on the internet who stole their friends’ boyfriends deserved to be called "green tea bitches."

Best friends?

Ha... do they even qualify?

Ye Li intended to have soone else deliver the invitation to Jiang Chengcheng, fearing there might be trouble.

Instead, Ye Li headed straight for the old dormitory building.

With final exams over, the students from each departnt would be heading ho today or tomorrow at the latest, and the dormitory doors would be locked.

They wouldn’t open again until the new sester.

The whole building was eerily quiet.

When Ye Li knocked on the door, a high-pitched "Coming" ca from inside.

The door opened, and they locked eyes, both taken aback for a mont.

Jiang Chengcheng hadn’t expected Ye Li, and she glanced self-consciously at her own attire.

Ye Li hadn’t anticipated that Jiang Chengcheng would return all of her clothes and then turn around and buy the sa ones?

A white sweater dress.

Black thigh-high boots.

Long black hair hanging down beside her cheeks.

The normally boisterous Jiang Chengcheng seed incredibly docile.

And she oddly resembled her.

Suppressing the discomfort in her heart, Ye Li handed over the invitation, "Professor Zhao asked to give this to you!"

Jiang Chengcheng took it, and before she could utter a word of thanks,

Ye Li had already turned and walked away.

As if she couldn’t bear to exchange another word with her.

The door slamd shut, and looking at the reflection in the mirror that more and more resembled Ye Li, Jiang Chengcheng’s eyes suddenly reddened.

Zhou Hecchen treated her very well.

He was almost willing to do anything she asked.

Except in bed.

Even with the lights on and her face plainly visible, he would still call out "Xiao Li" over and over again.

Each ti that happened, Jiang Chengcheng felt like pushing Zhou Hecchen away, making him see clearly who she really was.

But such thoughts vanished as quickly as they appeared.

She dread of crushing Ye Li underfoot, showing Zhou Hecchen that she was no worse than Ye Li.

Because of this, Jiang Chengcheng, who had never taken her studies seriously since she stepped into Imperial University, worked harder than ever before.

She thought of how the Ye Family had t with misfortune and how Ye Li had been dumped by Zhou Hecchen. Not to ntion the days of classes she missed, which resulted in lost participation points.

Jiang Chengcheng pushed herself to the limit.

To her shock, once the exam scores were released, she had jumped from the teens to second in her class.

But Ye Li was still the unreachable first in the grade.

Fortunately, what Ye Li had, she had too.

Her eyes glided over the invitation on the desk, and seeing the location of the exhibition, Jiang Chengcheng’s lips curved into a smile as she made a call to Zhou Hecchen.

"Brother Chen..."

The cold tone in her voice lted into softness as she heard Zhou Hecchen’s languid voice, and Jiang Chengcheng gently said, "I’m going to a jewelry design exhibition in Bishui Bay on Tuesday, can you take ?"

Before he could reply, Jiang Chengcheng added, "Ye Li will be there too."

"What ti?"

"Ten in the morning."

"Co over to my place tomorrow night."

Before she could respond, Zhou Hecchen hung up the phone.

The dormitory quieted down, and Jiang Chengcheng’s shoulders slowly slumped.
