Ye Li entered the door and imdiately noticed the ssy dical kit on the living room sofa.
The door to the master bedroom on the first floor was open, and she could hear Fu Yanci’s deep, slow voice, as if he were reading a book.
As Ye Li approached, she saw on the big bed, Xiao Bao’s eyes closed as if he were asleep.
Fu Yanci was holding a storybook and talking slowly.
Upon seeing Ye Li, the man’s eyes lit up and then he shook his head slightly.
Ye Li tiptoed over.
Just as she reached out her hand, it was stopped by Fu Yanci.
The man stood up in succession, "The fever has already gone down, a good sleep and it’ll be all fine."
After putting the book back on the shelf, Fu Yanci embraced Ye Li and they left the room.
Once the door was shut, Fu Yanci’s long arm retracted, and he turned to press the girl against the wall, "Ah Li, I said I couldn’t sleep because I missed you, and you told to count sheep. Xiao Bao falls sick, I said I can handle it, yet you rush over. Ah Li, in your heart, can’t I even compare to Xiao Bao, right?"

The two scents intertwined, lingering in the room long after they had dispersed.
Just before she fell into a deep sleep, Ye Li whispered, "Fu Yanci, rember... to go look..."

A gentle kiss landed on her forehead, and Ye Li fell sound asleep.
When she opened her eyes early to the bright day outside the window, Ye Li finally understood what felt strange the night before.
She had never taken care of children, but she had been a child!
As a child, sick or simply being mischievous and getting hurt, her parents would always watch over her.
