Ye Li dread she had beco a light piece of sea grass.

Drifting, swaying, slowly sinking into the profound depths of the ocean.

In the distance, as if a sea demon was singing—ethereal and open, exceptionally pleasing to the ear.

The bottom of the sea wasn’t cold in the slightest but unusually warm, as if sunlight was filtering through the shimring water’s surface, gently enveloping her body, an indescribable comfort.

When she opened her eyes again, the ceiling above her was as densely white as clouds.

The ticking of instrunts brought her thoughts back to the present. Ye Li turned her head and saw Fu Yanci sitting on the sofa by the window.

The night outside was deep and thick.

The expanse of darkness spread over, yet it didn’t rival the sullen and fierce air emanating from the man.

Even asleep, a restrained anger tinged Fu Yanci’s brows, making his whole face look exceptionally cold and piercing.

Knowing that he had been frightened by the incident at noon, Ye Li unconsciously softened her breathing.

Fu Yanci seed to sense sothing and suddenly looked up.

"Ah Li..."

The gloom vanished, and Fu Yanci got up and approached, touching Ye Li’s forehead before softly caressing her face and then turning on the bedside lamp.

The doctor and nurse arrived quickly.

Ye Li imdiately spotted the small figure shrinking in the corner by the door.

Clutching the wall, Xiao Bao pursed his lips, his eyes full of unease.

As if to say: I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, I almost killed you!

Ye Li smiled and beckoned to him with her hand, "Co over..."

Xiao Bao didn’t move, his apprehensive gaze turning to Fu Yanci.

The doctor checked Ye Li’s blood pressure, the nurse asured her temperature, and they recorded the data from the monitoring equipnt.

By the ti the doctor said that Ye Li was fine, the group quietly left.

Ye Li looked at Fu Yanci, "Fu Yanci, I’m all right now, I have sothing I want to say to Xiao Bao, may I?"

As long as you are fine, anything is possible.

Fu Yanci nodded, "Okay!"

Ye Li turned back and waved to Xiao Bao, "Brother Mu, co over..."

Xiang Yang nudged Xiao Bao, who hesitated, then slowly made his way to the bedside.

His eyes, dark as the abyss, were filled with unease and guilt.

Ye Li sat up and patted the empty space on the bed, "Co up..."

Xiao Bao looked back at Fu Yanci again.

Knowing that sothing like getting lost had happened, Fu Yanci must have scolded Xiao Bao and perhaps had even blown up in anger.

Ye Li smiled and pinched Xiao Bao’s face.

Fu Yanci stood up, pressed the touchscreen to raise the hospital bed and then hoisted Xiao Bao onto the bed like picking up a little chick.

"Brother Mu, thank you!"

Xiao Bao had only just stabilized when Ye Li embraced him tightly.

The little guy stiffened, and his eyes instantly reddened.

He looked as though he had suffered a great injustice.

Fu Yanci was utterly baffled.

Had it not been for Xiao Bao’s running off, Ah Li wouldn’t have gone to the amusent park looking for him.

Then, misled to believe it was Xiao Bao who had fallen into the water, she had dived into Bing Lake without a second thought.

Yet she says, "Thank you?"

And the child who had done wrong now felt unjustly aggrieved?

Ye Li’s face wore a gentle smile, "You rembered that I said the grilled sausages at the amusent park are the best in the world, so you wanted to go there, buy so, then co to Imperial University to surprise , right?"

Pouting his lips, he nodded, but tears stread down his cheeks.

Xiao Bao embraced Ye Li and burst into loud sobs.

Everything had been planned out.

Slip out of the house at 10, arrive at the amusent park by 11:30.

Buy the sausages and then get to Imperial University, just in ti to wait for Ye Li at the entrance to the Fanxing Apartnt.

And at that ti, the housekeeper would have nearly turned the old mansion upside down, frantically calling Fu Yanci for help.

Then, he would receive a call from Ye Li, saying she was with him.

It would all line up perfectly.

For this, Xiao Bao had even studied satellite maps thoroughly.

He knew which bus to take from the old house’s alley entrance.

He knew where the grilled sausages were sold near Frog Jump.

He also knew which kind of person to follow onto the bus so that neither the driver nor the passengers would notice he was by himself.

Xiao Bao had anticipated everything, the only thing he hadn’t accounted for was the car accident at Yannan Road junction causing the bus to be stuck there for over ten minutes.
