Hanging up the phone, Fu Yanci’s face was as grim and cold as the fierce wind outside the door.

Xiao Bao had been discovered missing two hours ago.

It was Friday morning and he had one English class and one calligraphy class.

The calligraphy teacher’s daughter was getting married on New Year’s Day. She had asked for leave a week ago to go ho and prepare for her daughter’s wedding, which Fu Yanci had agreed to.

The English class ended at ten o’clock. After the teacher left, Xiao Bao sat at his desk and began to write big characters.

Xiao Hong, who usually took care of him, went to prepare so snacks.

The kitchen was steaming rice cakes, thinking that Xiao Bao could eat the sweet and steaming rice cake first after finishing writing, which doubled the happiness in this cold winter. Xiao Hong thus waited a while longer in the kitchen.

When she returned, Xiao Bao was no longer in the room.

At first, she thought he might have run off to play, but Xiao Hong searched every nook and cranny of the study and didn’t find him.

After the old butler called people to search the entire old house up and down, more than an hour had passed.

Other than Old Mrs. Fu and Xiao Bao, the only other people inside were the maids and butlers who had served the Fu Family for over a decade and were extrely reliable.

The nearest surveillance was just at the alley entrance.

Fu Yanci checked the surveillance footage; Xiao Bao had run out of the front gate of the old house at half-past ten.

Which ant just after Xiao Hong left, he quickly put on his clothes and ran out the front door.

In the surveillance footage, the little guy didn’t even hesitate for a second about which direction to go. He turned left out the front door and ran down the alley, making his way directly to the bus stop nearby, and then hopped onto a bus, tugging on an old lady’s vegetable basket.

"The bus company is checking the onboard surveillance footage. They said they would get back to imdiately once they have spotted the young master," Xiang Yang reported when he returned from his call, just as he saw Fu Yanci holding a piece of drawing paper.

On the drawing paper were all crooked lines, as if it was a child learning how to grip a pen and practicing steadying his grip.

Fu Yanci stared silently at that piece of paper for a long ti.

On Sunday evening when he last visited Xiao Bao, Xiao Bao had been holding this exact piece of paper.

And on the surrounding drawing papers, all were drawings of identical patterns.

Only two circles were particularly distinct.

Filled with thoughts of "where has he gone" and "how could he dare," Fu Yanci turned and walked over to the bed, pulling a tablet out from under Xiao Bao’s pillow.

Opening the browser, the search history was obvious.

He had checked a map, starting at the alley entrance and ending at the amusent park.

He also checked the route from the amusent park to Imperial University.

Although he didn’t know why Xiao Bao chose to go to the amusent park first before heading to Imperial University, this was the only clue they had before the bus company relayed specific information.

"Xiang Yang, to the amusent park!"

Rushing outside, Fu Yanci made a call to Ye Li, "Ah Li, head back to your dorm first. I’ll co to pick you up after I find Xiao Bao."

Anxious like an ant on a hot pan and looking out into the vast expanse of whiteness outside, just thinking of Xiao Bao all alone made Ye Li’s anxiety beco overwhelming.

After hearing from Fu Yanci, she breathed a sigh of relief, "Has Xiao Bao been found?"

Yet, the answer was disappointing, "Not yet."

Upon learning that Xiao Bao might be at the amusent park, Ye Li walked outside and said, "Fu Yanci, let’s et up at the amusent park."

Imperial University was not far from the amusent park.

Ye Li could get there much faster from her position compared to Fu Yanci’s from the old house.

If Xiao Bao was really in the amusent park, every single second is utterly crucial and can’t be wasted.

Fu Yanci nodded, "Okay."

In haste, Ye Li dashed out of Fanxing Apartnt all the way to the Outside of East Gate, where she flagged a taxi to the amusent park.

While on the way, she didn’t forget to send a ssage to Fu Yanci, [Last ti we went to the amusent park, he loved the Frog Jump. The Frog Jump is closer to the West Gate, so I’ll start searching from the West Gate. You go to the East Gate. Let others start from the South Gate and North Gate and let’s et near the carousel.]

[Okay.]

On a typical Friday, the amusent park wasn’t very crowded, mainly visited by nearby elderly people accompanying children who hadn’t yet started kindergarten.

But tonight was Christmas Eve.

The park began its Christmas activities a month ago.

A Christmas tree more than ten ters tall stood outside the gate, adorned with large and small gift boxes.

Inside, ribbons, colorful lights, and statues of cartoon characters were everywhere.

Both young people, who ca inspired by its fa, and children eager to start the Christmas season crowded the area.

At a glance, it was sward with people.
