Raegar was creeped out by Dahlia’s retelling of the report she read but his curiousity was piqued, causing him to reveal. ’’Maybe I should go there one day, maybe a Fusion army is waiting for there?’’

The older woman’s eyebrow rose in amusent. ’’Not just yet, the empire needs it’s guardian or the other powers will launch an attack.’’

’’Alright but once things calm down, I’m going there,’’ he comprimised.

’’Good,’’ Dahlia said, smiling.

Following that, Michael reappeared pushing a trolley alongside more servers before he began filling the table with dishes. ’’Sorry about this, there was too many als and we had to bring out these ones.’’

’’That’s okay, we did order a lot,’’ the older woman responded. ’’We have big appetites and have been walking around the city all day.’’

’’Not a problem,’’ the head server replied. ’’Now we have most but we’ll keep them hot for you untill these ones are done.’’

’’Thank you,’’ Raegar thanked the man.

Seconds later, he took a bowl full of spagetthi and started eating only for his eyes to go wide as he has tasted it. ’This is the sa stuff as Earth, I bet there is a reincarnated person here, like .’

Just then, Dahlia’s voice brought him back to the present. ’’Rae! Stop daydreaming on our date, but I must admit you look so handso while doing it.’’

Raegar felt his cheeks going red as he continued eating. The two of them ate in a peaceful silence as both enjoyed the freshly cooked food. While doign that, he turned his gaze to the window, watching people pass by as they lived their lives without the worry of constant war hanging over their heads.

As he was busy with that, Dahlia brought him back to reality. ’’What are you thinking about?’’

’’Peace,’’ he revealed, chuckling. ’’I’ve been fighting for so long, it feels strange being at ease for once.’’

When Dahlia heard this her face lit up. ’’That’s expected, war takes it’s toll on soone. You may have not been in a battle like normal soldiers but you’ve had your fair share of fights with scary monsters or hardened n and woman who have been fighting for years.’’

’’Yes I know,’’ he said. ’’I’m enjoying my ti with you girls and not having to rush off sowhere.’’

The older woman couldn’t but smile as she questioned. ’’Are you looking forward to returning to school? Bet the girls are going to love you now?’’

Raegar laughed at her words as he shrugged. ’’I’m not sure to be honest, there’s much I can learn apart from the library and a few of the professors. I may just clear dungeons and monsters that co close to Drakenwood.’’

Dahlia’s amber eyes lit up as she agreed. ’’I support that, there’s not much a they can teach you any more, considering what you’ve learned about Aether.’’

Following that, they continued eating as Michael brought more als, filling their stomachs until bloated. Raegar stopped an hour later and let out a deep breath, making the older woman giggle at his reaction. ’’That was a delicious al, we’ll have to do it again,’’ she suggested.

’’That’s fine with ,’’ he responded, taking a sip of the sake that burned his throat.

Raegar slipped several bottles into his storage and finished the one he left out. This made Dahlia laugh at his hoarding, soon enough Michael reappeared and cleared out off the table as the two began to leave. The man said his goodbyes as they stepped outside, feeling the cold air brushing up against thier skin.

’’Do you want to go get drunk? There’s a famous club I’m a mber of that sell so of the best drinks in the capital?’’ she offered, eyes full of excitent.

’’Sounds good to ,’’ he replied, smiling. ’’Let’s not get stupid though, yes our Aether burns it away faster then the regular person but after a while it will hit us.’’

The older woman giggled and nodded. ’’That’s fine. We still have the inn by the shore to stay the night at, which is what I’m excited about.’’

Raegar chuckled and let Dahlia lead them toward the club she was speaking about. After twenty minutes of walking, he spotted a massive building that didn’t look like anything just well constructed. There was guards standing outside the only door into it and when they arrived the duo were stopped.

’’What brings you to the Highend Club?’’ one of the guards questioned in a stern tone.

Without hesitation, Dahlia took out a card from a storage ring, showing the man whose eyes widened in shocked. He mumbled in awe. ’’A Platinum mber.’’

The older man shook his head before stepping aside. ’’Welco to the Highend Club. Sorry about that but so noble famalies have been trying to sneak their younger mbers inside and the empress warned the owner to not allow it.’’

’’It’s not an issue,’’ Dahlia reassured, a warm smile on her face. ’’You’re doing your job otherwise Mistress Dawnfire will dock your wages.’’

The guard chuckled nervously and let them through. When stepping inside, Raegar looked at her with a raised eyebrow. She giggled even more and explained. ’’My aunty owns this place, she gave the card incase I wanted to co in disguise, like now.’’

’’Oh that makes sense,’’ he muttered.

Following that, Dahlia grabbed his hand, dragging him through the finely decorated halls. Rooms were on each side where he spotted people chatting and drinking, the sll of smoke hit his nose, making his head spin. When the older woman saw this she giggled, only to explain. ’’That’s a herb that cos from the south, a popular hobby my nobles started about ten years ago.’’

Raegar’s eyes widened, a flicker of astonishnt crossing his features as the unexpected turn of events unfolded. Before he could fully process the mont, he found himself gently but firmly guided into a dimly lit room, the air heavy with the scent of jasmine and cedar, filling his nose.

His heart quickened as he was eased into a plush chair that seed to mold perfectly, offering a surprising sense of comfort. Dahlia moved with a confidence, her presence commanding yet intoxicatingly warm. Monts later, she straddled his waist, her closeness sending a jolt of electricity through him.

The older woman’s lips found the curve of his neck, each kiss a teasing brush that sent his lust soaring. Her hands road across his chest, tracing his muscles with a touch that was both exploratory and assured. The warmth of her breath against his skin and the subtle pressure of her fingers ignited a rush of heat inside.

Raegar was about to speak but she silenced him with a passionate kiss, her tongue slipped into his mouth. He was loving the proactiveness of the empress who was eagerly to kiss him thanks to the sake she drank earlier. By the ti they broke apart, Dahlia’s amber eyes were full of lust.

’’Sorry about that,’’ she whispered, cheeks going red. ’’I had the urge to kiss you and needed it.’’

’’That’s okay, I love it,’’ he reassued the gorgeous brunette.

After speaking, Raegar moved forward and kissed her this ti. Dahlua lted into his embrace as she let out a happy noise before returning the gesture. By the ti they finished both of their faces were red but she jumped up, rushing over to a nearby counter full of all kinds of bottles.

’’Now this place is stocked with all the best stuff,’’ she happily revealed. ’’We can start by drinking the Northern Vodka, it burns your throat but warms you up.’’

’’Perfect for the weather outside,’’ Raegar retorted, laughing.

Following that, Dahlia filled up two glasses with the clear liquid and handed him one just before she downed hers. He did the sa thing and felt the drink burning everything from his tongue, cheeks, throat and stomach but the kick ward him up. The cold evapourating off him thanks to it.

Raegar shook his head as the older woman filled up the glass again. ’’This tastes good! Now let’s drink so more and maybe stay here, there’s a bed through there,’’ she said, pointing at a nearby door.

’’That’s fine with ,’’ he replied, relieved. ’’It’s getting colder outside and I don’t want to walk to the inn.’’

With the air between them still simring, the couple settled into a more relaxed rhythm, their laughter and conversation filling the room. A bottle of Northern Vodka nearly empty as they passed it back and forth, the sharp, icy burn of the spirit igniting their senses with each sip.

The vodka’s crisp bite lingered on their tongues, but its strenght only fueled their growing ease, the warmth of the alcohol loosening their words and drawing out shared stories and sly glances. By the ti the last drops of the liquid were drained, the bottle stood empty as the duo felt the effects.

’’This stuff is the best,’’ he said, slurring. ’’I still prefer my sake though.’’
