That was highly unusual. Normally, the Adventurer's Guild in Somar City wouldn't assist in recruiting adventurers from another town, especially not for teams outside their own city. But the fact that they'd helped post Raymond and Sylph's recruitnt letter showed sothing significant, either the Adventurer's Guild in Wittes had asked for Somar's help, or Somar's guild had recognized Raymond and Sylph as noteworthy. Either way, it ant that the duo had gained so level of recognition from the Somar guild.
Being recognized by the guild spoke volus about their potential.
"Yeah, exactly! And I also heard that a 'female archer' joined their team yesterday, and that her 'magic affinity' is insanely high!" the adventurer who had just returned from the guild hall added quickly, eager to share the latest gossip.
"No way! The 'Black Wind Group' has just been wiped out, and now Raymond and Sylph are making waves like this?"
"Hold on, what do you an by 'magic affinity'?" another adventurer interrupted, eager to know more. "Did you hear how high it is?"
The returning adventurer shook his head. "I don't know the exact number, but I heard it's really high. Probably at least '3'. Otherwise, Raymond and Sylph wouldn't let just any archer join their team."
Then, his eyes widened as he suddenly recalled sothing. "Wait! I rember now! One of the adventurers ntioned that the 'recruitnt letter' listed everyone's magic affinity, and it turns out that everyone's affinity is quite high. The female archer has the highest, followed by Raymond!"
"But it's getting crowded now," the adventurer sighed. "I can't even squeeze in to check it out. Plus, Raymond and Sylph are recruiting warriors, and all the warriors in town are clamoring to join. There's no room for a thief like ."
"What? Raymond and Sylph are recruiting warriors?" his teammate asked, utterly stunned. "But... isn't Raymond a warrior himself? Why would they need another warrior? Shouldn't they be looking for soone to fill a different role, like a frontliner?"
Imdiately, an adventurer voiced his confusion. Everyone in the room knew one thing: while a double-warrior setup might seem effective, the drawbacks were glaring. Two warriors would have poor mobility, which could easily leave the backline, composed of fragile teammates like magicians and priests, vulnerable to threats from monsters. Unless, of course, the warrior had mastered a skill like "Flowing Wind."
Soone else seed to have made the sa connection and asked, "Could it be that Raymond has already mastered 'Flowing Wind?"
"Impossible! So fast?" another adventurer responded. "Rember, it's only been a little over a month since Raymond beca a 'warrior' and learned his first warrior skill. Plus, with the 'Black Wind Group' causing chaos in Wittes Town, they haven't even been able to accept commissions. Without monsters to fight, how could Raymond possibly have gained such skills?"
The logic behind the skepticism was sound. Normally, skills were learned in battle, through real combat experience with monsters, where warriors gained insights and mastered new abilities. While it was possible to learn through other ans, the chances of learning without fighting were slim.
As far as anyone knew, Raymond hadn't taken any missions or fought monsters in the past month, making it highly unlikely that he could have mastered new skills during that ti.
"I don't think Raymond's learned 'Flowing wind' either," another adventurer chid in, "but I have a different theory about why they're looking to recruit another warrior."
The surrounding adventurers imdiately leaned in, curious. "What do you an?" they asked, eager to hear more.
Without wasting ti, the adventurer explained, "Don't forget, Raymond is a dual-professional! He's not just a 'warrior' he's also a 'fighter'!"
The realization hit the group like a wave. "Ah, so you're saying the 'fighter' class gives Raymond a level of flexibility that a pure 'warrior' wouldn't have?"
"Exactly! That's the only explanation! If we think of Raymond as just a 'warrior,' then it makes sense that his movents might seem a bit stiff. But as a 'fighter,' he would have greater body flexibility and agility," the adventurer continued.
Several heads nodded in agreent. "That makes sense!" they said.
"Of course, this is all just speculation," the adventurer added, "since there haven't been many dual-professionals in history, we can only make educated guesses. But I think this is pretty close."
As the conversation continued, the adventurers suddenly noticed sothing odd. The tavern, which had been packed only monts before, was now nearly empty. It turned out that after hearing the news about Raymond and Sylph's recruitnt letter, all the adventurers had rushed downstairs to the Adventurer's Guild Hall to see the details for themselves.
The hall was packed with adventurers trying to squeeze in to get a glimpse of the 'Recruitnt Book.'
"Have you finished reading the one before? Hurry up and leave so we can get in!" one adventurer called out from behind, frustrated.
"How long does it take to read a 'recruitnt book'? Why not just read it aloud for everyone?" another adventurer shouted.
At the front of the crowd, the "warrior" adventurers had taken the pri spots, and anyone else had no chance of getting close. The adventurers in the front, silent and holding onto their spots, only added to the frustration of those behind them, who were itching to get a look at the recruitnt details.
If they weren't inside the Adventurer's Guild Hall, so adventurers would have already made a move to clear the path!
As the adventurers pondered how to get their hands on the contents of the 'Recruitnt Book,' a loud voice suddenly rang out from the Adventurer's Guild Square:
"The 'Recruitnt Notice' for dual-class Raymond and 'Explosion Magician' Sylph is one silver coin each, first co, first served!"
"The 'Recruitnt Notice' for dual-class Raymond and 'Explosion Magician' Sylph is one silver coin each, first co, first served!"
The adventurers still jostling to get closer to the Guild Hall turned toward the source of the shout.
In the square, an adventurer clad in leather armor was holding a stack of papers, about a dozen or so, and was loudly announcing his offer.
"No way, one silver coin just to read a copy of the 'Recruitnt Notice'? That's ridiculous!" one adventurer grumbled.
"Exactly! We can just wait for the people ahead to finish reading it. What's the rush? We'll know the contents eventually, no need to pay!"
"I'm not wasting a silver coin just to see the 'Recruitnt Notice' early," another adventurer added. "Besides, these people probably already knew about it and ca prepared. They've been spreading the news that Raymond and Sylph are recruiting from Wittes Town!"
Several adventurers wearing 'Black Iron' badges scoffed at the idea. For them, why pay for sothing they could eventually see for free after a bit of waiting?
They weren't entirely wrong. The sellers had just co from Wittes Town, where they'd witnessed crowds gathering to see the 'Recruitnt notice,' so they'd anticipated a similar scene in Somar. They had quickly copied the contents and began selling them.
While so adventurers weren't willing to pay, others with deeper pockets and higher adventure levels didn't mind spending the silver to avoid the hassle of pushing through a crowd. After all, many would rather pay a silver coin than risk wasting ti squeezing in with the masses.
As expected, when the adventurers heard they could get their hands on the 'Recruitnt notice for just one silver coin, many imdiately headed toward the seller.
"Give a copy!" one adventurer said, handing over a silver coin without hesitation.
Others quickly followed suit, and soon the seller had nearly run out of copies.
Just as he was about to finish, a voice whispered:
"Look! Who's that?"
The crowd turned, and all eyes landed on a female demi-human with silver animal ears, a curvy figure, and a fluffy tail. She was walking towards the adventurer selling the 'Recruitnt Book.'
"It's 'Ice Flower' Luna!"
"It's really her!"
Despite the whispers around her, Luna remained unfazed. She walked straight up to the seller, her eyes cold as she spoke. "Give one."
The adventurer paused, montarily caught off guard, before Luna, with an impatient frown, flicked a silver coin toward him. "I said, give one."
"Ah! Yes, of course!" The seller, now wide-eyed, quickly handed her a copy of the 'Recruitnt Book.'
Luna took the book and flipped through it rapidly, her gaze scanning the contents:
"Recruiting Occupation: Warrior."
"Recruitnt Requirents: 'Magic Affinity' must be at least '2', at least one skill must be mastered, under 15 years old, Adventurer level 'Black Iron' or 'Bronze'."
"Current Team mbers: Captain Raymond Kelton, team mber Arya Moore, team mber Sylph Vargas, team mber Lorene Welty."
Luna paused for a mont, her eyes narrowing slightly as she finished reading.
