Shi Yang went to find Qu Chaozong to drink, while Zhao ii went straight to her parents’ place after school.

Liu Xiue was thrilled to hear Zhao ii was coming, so after work, she specifically went to the market to buy fish and at, preparing a lavish al.

Zhao Dazhuang picked up so fish with his chopsticks and said to Zhao ii, "Today, we really have you to thank. If it weren’t for you coming ho, your mom usually just makes do with cabbage and potatoes for ."

Liu Xiue tapped Zhao Dazhuang’s hand with her chopsticks, "Even while eating, you can’t keep your mouth shut!"

Having reproached Zhao Dazhuang, Liu Xiue served a chicken wing to Zhao ii and asked, "When you’re at ho with Yangyang, what do you two usually eat? He’s so busy with work, does he always order takeout at night?"

Zhao ii’s mouth was full of grease: "No, my brother says takeout isn’t hygienic. In the morning, we have porridge, I eat at the school canteen at noon, and in the evening, my brother cooks when he gets ho. Last night, he made beef with potatoes, it was delicious."

Liu Xiue nodded, "That’s good. I’ve already packed the chicken wings and fish for you, so you can take it with you, saving your brother from cooking."

Zhao ii agreed and couldn’t help but talk about what happened the previous night.

After listening, Liu Xiue was quite surprised: "Oh, really? Did you and Yangyang rush to the hospital last night?"

Zhao ii said, "Yeah, otherwise Peng Hui couldn’t have handled it on her own. Her parents are back in their hotown, and she doesn’t know anyone in the provincial city."

Zhao Dazhuang was confused: "Which Peng Rui are you talking about? I didn’t know Chaozi had a girlfriend before."

Zhao ii: "How could you not know? I told you guys back then! Peng Rui thought my Brother Chao was poor, so she dumped him when they were in college and married Sun Yingyu to climb up the social ladder."

Liu Xiue tapped Zhao ii with chopsticks: "Speak nicely!"

Zhao ii, defiant: "How am I not speaking nicely? It’s true, she dumped my Brother Chao for being poor, and now she’s in such a state, she deserves no sympathy. Even my brother is very annoyed by her!"

Zhao Dazhuang reprimanded her: "How other people live is their own business, what does it have to do with you? How many tis have you been told not to gossip about others, and you just can’t change! Who did you take after to be so tactless!"

Before Zhao ii could retort, Liu Xiue cut in: "Who did she take after? It’s the apple not falling far from the tree!"

Zhao Dazhuang said: "How is that on ?"

Liu Xiue glared at him: "You think you’re right? You told your older sister about your younger sister’s divorce? Isn’t it because of your big mouth? Now you’re in trouble! She’ll ask you for money, what are you going to do now?"

Zhao Dazhuang said: "I already knew about it, how could I not tell my sister? This is sothing that can’t be hidden!"

Liu Xiue got angry imdiately upon hearing this: "Why did your younger sister call you to tell you about it, and you still don’t get it? She never calls all year to ask about you, but sothing happens, and she calls you. Why didn’t she just tell your sister? They live so close to each other! She had to make a special effort to tell you. You don’t know what’s she’s planning?"

Zhao Dazhuang coughed lightly and couldn’t help defending: "You know what a temper my sister has; my younger sister wouldn’t dare to tell her directly."

Zhao ii, listening on the side, was confused and asked: "Mom, what’s going on? Is my aunt getting a divorce? When did this happen?"

Liu Xiue snapped at her: "This is adult business, don’t get involved."

Zhao ii muttered: "I’m just concerned here."

Liu Xiue tapped her bowl with chopsticks: "Alright, hurry and eat, the food’s getting cold."

Until they finished the al, no one ntioned anything about the matters back ho again.

Back the next day, Zhao ii talked to Shi Yang about her aunt’s situation.

Zhao ii asked: "Brother, why was Mom so mad about my aunt getting a divorce?"

Shi Yang, just relying on the few words she ntioned, couldn’t figure it out for the mont, and could only say: "I’ll find a chance to ask Dad about it later."

Zhao ii quickly said: "Brother, once you find out, you must tell . I’m very curious about this."

Shi Yang agreed: "Alright."

Peng Hui returned to class two days later, and Peng Rui’s condition had already stabilized, though she still needed two more days in the hospital for recovery.

Peng Hui said to Zhao ii and Qian Sing: "Pregnancy is actually really risky, you’ve heard of the fetal heartbeat, right?"

The two shook their heads together.

Peng Hui explained: "It’s the heartbeat of the unborn baby while it’s in the mother. The pregnant woman in the bed next to my sister’s, hey, ii, you saw her that night, right?"

Zhao ii tried to recall, and just rembered it seed to be a fairly young woman, but couldn’t rember what she looked like, so she nodded: "Yeah, what about it?"

Peng Hui looked sympathetic: "She was already three months pregnant when it was found that there was no fetal heartbeat. They had a termination yesterday. You didn’t see it; the couple cried so miserably, it made everyone in the room sad."

Zhao ii clicked her tongue: "Oh dear, really, that’s really unfortunate."

Peng Hui said: "Actually, I used to want to persuade my sister to terminate the pregnancy if her health allowed, but after seeing them cry like that yesterday, I suddenly kind of understand my sister’s feelings. It’s undeniably their own child, it’s hard to let go."

At this point, Zhao ii suddenly rembered to ask: "Did you contact Sun Yingyu?"

Peng Hui’s face darkened at this statent: "I couldn’t reach him before, and when Sun Yingyu called back later, my sister didn’t let answer. She doesn’t plan to tell Sun Yingyu about the child."

Zhao ii and Qian Sing asked simultaneously: "Why not?"

Peng Hui said: "My sister’s afraid that after Sun Yingyu finds out, he would refuse responsibility and force her to have an abortion. My sister said that Sun Yingyu’s parents have always been hoping for a grandson, ntioning it all the ti. So since she decided to have the baby, she plans to tell the Sun family once the baby is born."

Once Peng Hui said this, Zhao ii and Qian Sing both understood that Peng Rui was planning to have the child anyway, and since the kid is indeed Sun Yingyu’s, she intends for the Sun family to help raise the child in the future.

Zhao ii comnted disapprovingly: "If that’s the case, your sister and Sun Yingyu will never be able to cut ties completely."

Peng Hui said gloomily: "I’ve tried to persuade my sister, but she wouldn’t listen. Besides, I actually think that as long as the child is born, they’re already tied together with Sun Yingyu, so if the Sun family can contribute to raising the child, it’s not a bad thing."

Zhao ii thought that the Peng sisters’ idea was a bit too optimistic, but after all, it was their family matter, so as a friend, it was not appropriate to say too much.
