Through the warm mist, Shi Yang quietly looked at Zhao ii. Little Yang was angrily straining, but he didn’t care at all. He released his hand, stepped back a couple of steps, wiped the dripping water off his face, and asked, "Why?"
Zhao ii bit her lip, feeling inexplicably wronged inside.
Shi Yang stared at her and asked again, "Why don’t you want to have a child with ? You don’t want a child that belongs to us?"
When Shi Yang asked this, there was a subtle emotion in his heart that he couldn’t quite explain. A woman unwilling to have a child for her man, what does that an? Shi Yang didn’t want to think too much about it; he just wanted to hear Zhao ii explain, to listen to her justification.
Shi Yang was rational, yet he also shared the common insecurity, sensitivity, and suspicion found in mature n when facing their beloved. Though the desire to care for her could overco all else, he also wanted to possess everything about Zhao ii, to have her by his side at all tis, and to have her fully invested in the relationship.
When he heard Zhao ii say she didn’t want a child that belonged to them, what ca to Shi Yang’s mind wasn’t their young age or unsuitable conditions, but why—what exactly made Zhao ii have such thoughts.
Zhao ii saw Shi Yang’s expression and knew sothing was wrong. She hastily stepped forward to hug Shi Yang, "Brother, I didn’t an it like that. I’m just really scared."
Shi Yang stood still, looking down at Zhao ii’s anxious expression, took a deep breath, and pushed her away, "Let’s take a shower first."
Zhao ii said nothing, obediently washed the foam off her body, while sneakily glancing at Shi Yang’s face with guilt.
Shi Yang ignored her, finished his shower on his own, and walked out of the bathroom.
Zhao ii quickly tugged at him, "Brother...."
Shi Yang turned back, suddenly pulled Zhao ii’s neck, tightly holding her in his arms, gave her a fierce kiss, their teeth clashing against lips, causing Zhao ii pain, tears instantly welling in her eyes. She looked into Shi Yang’s angry yet dark eyes, and suddenly her eyes turned red.
Zhao ii explained with grievance, "I really didn’t an it that way. I just heard my mom say that giving birth is extrely painful, and I’m scared, I...."
Zhao ii hugged Shi Yang tightly, murmuring, "I really don’t not want to have a child with you.... I’m just afraid of the pain."
Shi Yang couldn’t say anything, and his heart softened instantly, sigh....
Zhao ii wanted to explain, but felt she couldn’t make herself clear. Worried and scared inside, she wanted to coax Shi Yang, not wanting him to be angry, so she spoiled him like a child, snuggling into his embrace.
Shi Yang slowly leaned in from the front, ultimately couldn’t help pressing down against her.
"Brother?...." Zhao ii hesitated to call out, but did not resist further, tightly grasped Shi Yang’s waist, distinguishing the overwhelming desire in Shi Yang’s eyes, and felt her head heat up, burning like fire.
She really loved Shi Yang. If Shi Yang wanted a child, a child that belonged to them, could she refuse?... The answer was no.
Pain wouldn’t kill her. Her mom could give birth to her, how could she not manage?
Shi Yang asked hoarsely, "Is it just because you’re afraid of the pain?"
Zhao ii’s eyes were in turmoil, and after a while, she whispered, "Then, then how about I try not being scared? We can try? Maybe if I grit my teeth, I’ll get through it?"
Shi Yang: "...."
Shi Yang was amused by her words, couldn’t help but laugh out loud, oh, this little darling....
Shi Yang supported Zhao ii by her bottom, lifted her up, nuzzled her face, trying to hold back his laughter, "You’re not even out of college yet, why worry about sothing so far ahead?"
Zhao ii saw Shi Yang’s expression soften, and imdiately breathed a sigh of relief, "Hehe, true."
Shi Yang’s lips curved into a smile, eyes full of tenderness, "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to take precautions in the future. No accidents until we get married. I was careless before, my mistake."
When Zhao ii heard Shi Yang say this, her heart suddenly felt in disarray, "Actually, it’s no big deal. Nothing happened all those tis before, right?"
Shi Yang’s heart ward, tightened his arms around Zhao ii, holding her securely, and carried her back to the bedroom.
Zhao ii buried her nose into his chest, "Brother, I heard from my mom that childbirth is extrely painful, it frightened a little, but don’t worry. If others can do it, so can I. If you want a child, I’ll give you one. Actually, I have always wanted to have a child of our own. When I was little, for a ti, my dream was to be a mom."
Shi Yang’s eyes grew warm; he held Zhao ii tightly in his arms and kissed her powerfully for a long ti.
After they ate takeout stir-fry that evening, Shi Yang accompanied Zhao ii to watch so TV until night fell. The two then went to bed in each other’s arms. When Zhao ii fell asleep, Shi Yang quietly got out of bed. He sat at the computer in the study room, lit a cigarette, holding it between his lips, taking a puff occasionally while typing on the keyboard. Very soon, he typed out a line in the search bar: childbirth process and psychological counseling.
In Zhao ii’s journey of life and growth, Shi Yang always played the role of guide and ntor. He was both a brother and a lover, and to a large extent carried responsibilities similar to that of a father.
He took care of Zhao ii’s daily life, while also attending to her psychological and physical developnt. Every step of progress Zhao ii made in life was inseparable from Shi Yang’s subtle guidance.
When Zhao ii first faced death’s reality, it was Shi Yang who held her hand and led her through it. As Zhao ii entered puberty, in her clueless and naive state, it was Shi Yang who guided her through those confusing and uncontrollable teenage urges. Now, as marriage and childbirth faced them head-on and were soon to be scheduled, Shi Yang quietly began studying and researching to ensure when that day truly ca, he would be well-prepared to face and experience it with Zhao ii, allowing them both to get through it smoothly.
Many tis, as Zhao ii trudged along the difficult path of growth, every small step she took forward seed like a trial to Shi Yang, a gut-wrenching anticipation.
That night, Shi Yang sat in front of the computer, tapping away until dawn began to break, before he wearily returned to bed, holding the soundly asleep Zhao ii, and closed his eyes.
In the morning, after struggling to get up to prepare breakfast for Zhao ii and sending her to school, Shi Yang didn’t go to the company. He called Qu Chaozong and went straight ho to catch up on sleep.
When Qu Chaozong received the call, he teasingly said, "Had too intense an activity last night, wore yourself out?"
Shi Yang laughed and cursed, "Get lost. By the way, you don’t need to go to the hospital tonight. ii and I will go."
Qu Chaozong said, "Alright, I happen to have things to do tonight."
