The next day, at the hospital.

"Master Damian, Miss Everett, I have followed your instructions and given the old lady a full body check-up. The results are out."

Serena sat lazily on the sofa, her long and straight legs casually crossed.

The cold and dignified man beside her was peeling an orange for her.

"Go on."

The director couldn’t help but widen his eyes in shock at this scene, but quickly suppressed his astonishnt and continued reporting.

"Miss Everett’s surgery was very successful. As long as the old lady rests well, there should be no problem; her health is normal."

Upon hearing this, Serena slightly narrowed her beautiful eyes, deep in thought.

If it’s not a physical problem, then it must be...

"Master Damian, sothing’s wrong!"

Chase Sherman rushed in with a look of panic, interrupting Serena’s train of thought.

"The old lady has gone to the rooftop and is threatening to jump... Master Damian, you better go take a look!"

"What?"

Upon hearing this, Serena and Damian Quinn’s expressions changed instantly. Without any delay, they hurried towards the rooftop.

"Don’t co any closer, or I’ll jump!"

Old Mrs. Quinn’s frail body trembled as she stood at the edge of the rooftop. If she took a wrong step, she could fall, making the sight terrifying.

"Damian, you’re finally here!" Crystal Joyce ran to the man, her face worried and soft, "Please persuade Grandma!"

But Damian Quinn didn’t spare her a glance, continuing to ignore her and glaring sharply at the two maids.

"You can’t even watch over Grandma properly, what are you doing?"

The intense pressure was suffocating, causing the two maids to tremble, stamring as they spoke.

"Master Damian... The old lady said she wanted to eat the bird’s nest soup from ho... insisted we go back to prepare it... we couldn’t handle her insistence so we left... didn’t expect that once we left, the old lady would..."

"Damian, now’s not the ti to punish them. We need to quickly think of a way to get Grandma Quinn down, or it’s too dangerous!"

Crystal Joyce tily intervened, causing the two maids to feel grateful towards her.

But to her surprise, Damian Quinn’s dark eyes fixed on her, his voice cold.

"Did I ask you to butt in?"

Crystal Joyce felt a sudden chill down her spine, a strong sense of fear welling up, although angry that Damian Quinn didn’t give her face in front of the maids, she dared not speak again.

"Grandma, stop this."

The man’s demonically handso face showed rare signs of helplessness, his tone worried.

"That place is dangerous, co down."

"I won’t co down unless you agree to call off the engagent with the Everett Family!" Old Mrs. Quinn stubbornly insisted, "If you don’t agree, I’ll jump from here!"

"Grandma, stop making trouble."

Damian Quinn’s voice deepened, his srizing black eyes filled with rage.

He hated being threatened, especially by family!

Grandma usually just made small disturbances for show; her personality wouldn’t lead to such extre actions...

"You still refuse to agree?" Old Mrs. Quinn took yet another step forward, "If you don’t agree, I’ll jump!"

Having just undergone surgery, Old Mrs. Quinn’s body was already weak, and standing on the rooftop for so long had drained her strength. Her body trembled weakly; she could fall at any mont.

"Grandma, I agree to call off the engagent, please co down first."

A girl’s voice suddenly rang out.

Damian Quinn’s pupils shrank as he abruptly turned to look at her, "Serena..."

Old Mrs. Quinn showed a look of surprise too, "Do you really agree?"

"Yeah."

Serena lightly bit her tongue against her back teeth, her delicate porcelain-like face showing a hint of mischief.

"Since you now hate so much, why should I insist on marrying into the Quinn Family? Even if I marry into the Quinn Family in the future, life won’t be easy. Why should I endure such grievances, right, Grandma?"

While Old Mrs. Quinn was montarily dazed, Serena suddenly acted without a trace, quickly pulling her over.

"Let go of ... let go of !"

Old Mrs. Quinn finally reacted, starting to struggle violently.

Serena’s extraordinarily beautiful fox-like eyes narrowed; she slled a strange scent on Old Mrs. Quinn.

Though the scent was faint, Serena’s sense of sll was sharper than most, and she detected it.

"No need to make a fuss anymore, I will do as I promised you."

Serena released Old Mrs. Quinn without a sound, speaking calmly.

"Today, I will contact the dia to publicly announce the calling off of the engagent."

Did that bitch Serena even know what she was saying?!

Upon hearing this, Crystal Joyce’s heart raced, her eyes filled with overflowing joy, barely able to control herself from laughing aloud.

Who would have thought that fool Serena would agree so quickly; she had been ready for a long battle!

And everything went so smoothly it was unbelievable!
