"Are you sure about this rule?"
Serena’s gaze on him turned a little colder, and the powerful aura she emitted was intimidating, causing fear to arise involuntarily.
"Of... of course!" The security guard was sowhat scared, but he insisted, "Miss Everett, please follow the rules, don’t make things difficult for us!"
Serena could clearly see that they were deliberately targeting her, and she spoke slowly, "Then why didn’t the person who went in just now undergo disinfection?"
"This..." The security guard was instantly at a loss for words but quickly started arguing again, "The person who went in just now is a servant of the old house, so naturally they don’t need disinfection!"
"Since you say you’re worried about soone carrying bacteria or viruses that could infect Grandma, then everyone should be treated equally, and all who enter must be disinfected!"
Serena’s tone remained casual, but her words left them speechless, angering the security guards until their faces turned extrely ugly, and they said furiously.
"Miss Everett, no matter what you say, today you must undergo disinfection before entering the old house, we are just following the rules, sorry!"
As soon as they finished speaking, they imdiately picked up the disinfectant and aggressively advanced towards Serena.
They had specifically added sothing else to the disinfectant, so when the alcohol was sprayed on soone, it would cause a burning sensation.
The security guard at the door curled his lips in satisfaction, thinking she deserved what was coming, all because she bullied Miss Crystal!
But before they could finish feeling smug, Serena gave them a cold glance, and in the next second, acted swiftly.
She moved so fast that the security guards didn’t even see clearly. By the ti they reacted, they felt intense pain in their wrists—their hands had been forcibly twisted, and the disinfectant ant for Serena was all sprayed on themselves.
Instantly, agonized screams rang out at the doorway.
"Ah... my hand... my face hurts so much..."
" too... my face hurts so much, my body hurts too..."
Unlike their sorry state, Serena lazily leaned against the wall, her snow-white, straight legs casually bent, looking extrely relaxed.
The security guards, one by one, were furious, glaring at her, "You... it’s all your fault we’re in such a state!!!"
The commotion at the door naturally caught the attention of those inside the old house.
"What’s all the noise at the door? What kind of behavior is this..."
Old Mrs. Quinn ca over, speaking unhappily, but when she saw Serena, a loving smile imdiately appeared on her face.
"Serena dear, you’ve co! Why are you still standing at the door? Co in, Grandma missed you so much!"
"Grandma, I missed you too." Serena curved her red lips, speaking softly.
These words made Old Mrs. Quinn feel imnsely happy, her mouth spreading into a wide smile.
"Oh... our Serena dear has such a sweet mouth. If you miss Grandma, co see her more often. Grandma’s happiest when you co to the old house to keep her company!"
"I also want to co in soon to keep you company, Grandma." Serena spoke leisurely, "But they’re stopping from going in."
Hearing this, Old Mrs. Quinn’s face instantly darkened, turning to the security guards, and sternly asked, "You’re stopping Serena dear from coming in?"
Facing Old Mrs. Quinn’s sharp gaze, the security guards imdiately felt a pang of guilt, lowering their heads, not daring to et her eyes.
"Madam, no, we didn’t stop Miss Everett from coming in..."
"Ha!" Old Mrs. Quinn coldly laughed, "If you weren’t stopping Serena, then is Serena falsely accusing you?"
Hearing the anger in Old Mrs. Quinn’s tone, the security guards couldn’t help but tremble, "Madam, we didn’t an that, but we didn’t stop Miss Everett either. It’s just that everyone entering the old house must be disinfected according to the rules, but Miss Everett refused to cooperate..."
"Disinfected?"
Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Quinn’s anger intensified, understanding it was evidently ant as an insult.
"Who gave you the audacity to treat Serena like this?!"
"This..." The security guards trembled even more violently, "Madam, we were just following your instructions!"
"Nonsense!" Old Mrs. Quinn angrily struck her cane on the ground, "When did I ever give such an order?!"
"What?" The security guards were dumbfounded, "But Mrs. Langley clearly said it was your order!"
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have dared to add sothing to the disinfectant, wanting to fiercely vent for Miss Crystal...
A bunch of idiots!
When Mrs. Langley saw them so easily exposing her, her face turned unsightly, glaring at them venomously.
Each one of them was a useless fool, not only failing to humiliate Serena but making themselves a ss, alerting Old Mrs. Quinn, and now even exposing her!
Utterly foolish!
"Mrs. Langley, what on earth is going on?" Old Mrs. Quinn’s displeased gaze settled on her.
Serena was soone she intended to cherish, her precious granddaughter-in-law, and she wouldn’t allow her to be wronged!
Mrs. Langley’s face changed color several tis, "Madam, it’s like this, I saw you’ve been feeling unwell lately, and worried that soone might bring bacteria or viruses to you, so I instructed them to do this!
I was just concerned about your health! It was all out of goodwill, but who knew they misunderstood the aning and offended Miss Everett in the process!"
Mrs. Langley absolved herself of any responsibility with a few words, while Serena’s rosy, moist lips curled slightly.
"Without your instructions, would they dare do this?"
"I..."
Mrs. Langley clearly didn’t expect Serena to be so sharp-tongued, effortlessly redirecting the bla she had shifted back to her, glaring at her with deep resentnt.
Old Mrs. Quinn’s anger deepened visibly, filling Mrs. Langley with despair.
It’s over, she’s finished!
"Mrs. Langley, how could you do such a thing?" Crystal Joyce feigned reproach, furrowing her brows, then bit her lip gently, appearing regretful as she spoke, "Grandma Quinn, it’s all my fault for not managing my people properly. If you’re still upset, then punish !"
"Crystal, this has nothing to do with you, don’t get involved."
Old Mrs. Quinn spoke coldly, giving Crystal Joyce no face at all, determined to punish Mrs. Langley to vent for Serena.
Seeing this, Crystal’s eyes darkened, and her hands at her sides clenched involuntarily.
This Serena is truly sothing, in such a short ti not only charming Damian into following her every word but also making Old Mrs. Quinn protect her so fiercely, without even giving her any face!
