Ling Kaiyuan had already gotten soone to value this jade prior to the banquet tonight. Its value was imasurable according to the inspector.

“This...” retracting that old hand, “I’m sorry Yan Yan, I didn’t know it was from you originally.... I’ll look for sothing else.”
“There’s no need,” Bai Yan shakes her head, “it’s good enough that I know you have the heart Grandpa Kaiyuan. I’m not short on anything.”
Ling Lang was the first to complain about that comnt. Well, that’s obvious. Cousin, you have so much stuff that it’s making feel poor you know? The fact that you can give Xiachen Dan pills as snack is enough to make many go crazy!
“But if you do want to give sothing then....” Bai Yan pauses to organize her own words, “when I eventually leave this place, do look after Yi Yi for . I hope Ling Lang cousin here could do that. This way my sister won’t feel so lonely without by her side.”
Bai Yi Yi had also co in at this point when this conversation started. Imdiately, the lass’s eyes got all teary red because she knew what it ant. Truly, the poor girl didn’t want to think about the future and has been avoiding subject. After all, Yi Yi only had Bai Yan left as a family, she has no one else.
“Don’t worry Bai Yan, as your cousin, I naturally have the duty to look after your foster sister. I will take good care of her.” Ling Lang pats his own chest to convey confidence.
Bai Yan didn’t respond right away, instead she gets all aningful in her smile while facing the flirt: “Then how co she still suffered those grievances while I was away during this period?”
Ling Lang’s voice stalled over that remark. His handso face showing embarrassnt and sha.
Over the past ten years, their Ling household had on several occasion offered to help Bai Yi Yi. However, the lass would always reject the kind offer. One for being not wanting to drag the Ling family down with herself for fear of those enemies returning; secondly, she also wanted to keep her self esteem and be able to stand on equal footing with Ling Lang. That’s all Bai Yan needed to hear. She couldn’t stay on Earth, but she does want soone to help support her foster sister from a ntal and spiritual level. After all, one’s ntal health was just as important as their physical one, the forr she herself couldn’t give so it could only be relied on soone else. In this case, it would be Bai Yan’s cousin.
While this family was having their own little fun conversation in the banquet hall, the rest of the attendees weren’t acting so calm anymore. The gaze coming off of these guests were burning with desire and were locked onto Bai Yan like hawks eting a treasure box.
“Miss Bai Yan, do you have more jade of such excellent quality? I’m willing to pay your asking price if you do.”
