Chapter 1532 “Saving a Loli (1)”
Bai Yan soon left the hotel after confirming Bai Yi Yi’s wellbeing. She had other things to do, however, she didn’t make it far before being called out by soone from the back.
“Hey beautiful, is it really you?” The voice belongs to a handso man who directly ran ahead to get in her way.
Stopping in her step at recognizing who it was, Bai Yan pricks her brow in amusent: “You need sothing?”
“Didn’t you say you were going to co find oh beautiful? I waited all night and you didn’t co. Thank goodness I ca searching and found you here. So how is it, do you have a portrait of your son yet?”
Ling Lang’s (her cousin) mouth carried the iconic smile that he so commonly used to seduce the other sex, showing how much he’s trying to put on a good image here. Sure, the other side had a son already and he doesn’t know she’s his cousin as well, but being the flirtatious playboy that he was, why shouldn’t he go for her when there’s no ntion of a husband? Heck, in this modern age, it’s not uncommon to find a single mother at all, not uncommon at all!
“Oh,” Bai Yan actually forgot about the portrait and found herself in a bind, “do you have a brush in your ho? I can draw a portrait of him now.”
If this silly cousin of mine helps then it will be easier to find Xiachen. Why not?
“Of course, we can go to my ho. I sent the jade to my grandfather last night and he liked it a lot.” Grinning in the face like a curious little wolf, “I say beautiful, I still haven’t gotten your na yet, and where is your husband? I haven’t seen anyone with you so far.”
“My na is Bai Yan,” smiling at the ntion of her possessive husband, Bai Yan’s happiness couldn’t be hidden. “He is... um, my husband is not of this world.”
Oblivious to how misleading her own sentence was there, Bai Yan only ant it as Di Cang being in the Celestial Realm right now and not on Earth. However, that sentence had an entirely different aning for Ling Lang’s ear who imdiately perked up.
So her husband’s dead? It’s not easy for a woman to raise a child on her own, no wonder she’s struggling to find her son....
Thinking of this, the playboy’s gaze towards Bai Yan now had a hint of pity.
“Forgive Ms. Bai Yan, I shouldn’t have ntioned your husband without knowing better. As for your son, I will try my best to help you find him.”
Nodding at that, the lady here didn’t think much else of her cousin’s kind words. She and him are relatives so why would blood related family have that kind of thought towards each other? Unfortunately for this woman though, she apparently forgot Ling Lang doesn’t know they are cousins and kept thinking of her as an outsider....
Nothing much happened during the following drive towards the man’s ho, or at least in the beginning.
Bai Yan was sitting in the passenger seat to rest herself while occasionally nodding to Ling Lang’s constant yapping. Then it occurred, a swirling sportscar that ca out of nowhere on the road in front of them. Out of reflex, Ling Lang twisted the wheel and hit the break as hard as he could. Unfortunately for the poor guy, its too late and by the ti he realizes it, the car had ramd into a nearby pole.
“Fuck! Who is driving that car, do they know how to drive?” Jumping out of the vehicle despite the trickling blood down his forehead due to him hitting the windshield, Ling Lang lashes out with vigor in his voice.
