Chapter 991: Chapter 991: Bitter Battle

Chu Ming and the portly shopkeeper looked up, watching Qin Sisi flap her gigantic, multicolored wings high in the sky, a look of desperate madness on their faces.

Invisible Grass is not omnipotent; staying perfectly still could maintain invisibility for a long period of ti.

However, once you emit Magic Power to confront an enemy, the invisibility effect of the Invisible Grass disappears, so after using the Dingze Thunder Magic Skill to summon assistance, Sisi’s figure was exposed.

Chu Ming and the portly shopkeeper had no chance to launch an attack, as Qin Sisi struck first, taking the initiative.

With a flip of her hand, the Moon Spirit Golden Feather appeared in her grasp, shining brighter than the sun hanging in the sky.

"Vigor Gold Knife!" With a clear shout from Sisi, her arm rose high, as a black machete ford of Magic Power rged with the glittering Moon Spirit Golden Feather, causing the air around to twist and distort.

The energy-charged blade descended from the sky, parting the air to form a vacuum as it cleaved unhindered towards Chu Ming and the portly shopkeeper.

Chu Ming, aware of the danger, didn’t dare to take the hit head-on. He shouted "Dodge!" to the shopkeeper, and they both evaded, one to the left and the other to the right.

The Vigor Gold Knife struck directly onto the shop behind them—a building made from giant, hard stones which had been cut through countless tis during practice.

With a thunderous crash, the roof was split by the magical blade of the Vigor Gold Knife, and the stones composing the roof fractured and fell, creating a wreckage in the shape of an ’M’.

Only then did the portly shopkeeper understand why Xiao Shi Er had said that Qin Sisi was tough to handle; her attack was too fierce.

Having evaded Qin Sisi’s attack, the two quickly shifted from defense to offense, unleashing their most powerful moves on her.

The portly shopkeeper shed his cloak, revealing that his bulging belly wasn’t entirely made of fat; several gray pouches hung around his waist.

He yanked two pouches and threw them into the air. Two tallic human-sized golden puppets, forged from fine iron, appeared, their bodies emanating a faint silver glow that seed to signify their indomitable nature.

"Kill her!" The portly shopkeeper pointed at Qin Sisi as he commanded the two golden puppets.

The golden puppets imdiately moved their rigid bodies and launched an attack on Qin Sisi.

At the sa ti, Chu Ming wasn’t idle either. He took sothing out of his storage ring and swallowed it, then pushed his palms forward, releasing a burst of Wind Attribute Magic Power towards Qin Sisi. The magic-powered gust carried a light hue of red.

During his half-year stay at the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, he didn’t purposely conceal his strength. Indeed, his Attribute Magic Powers were quite ordinary, but he had a simpler and more ruthless thod at his disposal—poison.

This was a recipe he had obtained by sacrificing his own virginity and spending half a month with a mature woman past her pri.

Once tainted with this poison, one would beco weak, unable to gather Magic Power, and left at the rcy of others.

Tian Xiaozi once used this poison against his own elder brother. However, to ensure nothing went wrong, he had modified the poison to remove its color, making it invisible and tasteless.

Chu Ming didn’t have the wealth or resources to use the taint-less version, so he resorted to the standard one, which was nearly as effective but gave off a red tinge.

This cloud of red mist imdiately put Qin Sisi on alert. She hurriedly released her own Wind Attribute Magic Power and rapidly fluttered her Wings of Rainbow a few tis, creating a gust of wind. The combined force of these two winds blew away the red mist released by Chu Ming.

Qin Sisi and Chu Ming’s Wind Magic powers were evenly matched, but with her Wings of Rainbow, Qin Sisi had the upper hand.

The red mist, driven by the wind, was approaching but now t with a stronger gale; it could no longer advance and was instead blown back in the direction from which it ca.

Chu Ming did not expect his attack to be thwarted so easily; caught off guard, he found himself enveloped in the very red mist he had released.

Chu Ming was shocked and hurriedly took out the antidote from his storage ring and consud it before the poison could take effect.

After dealing with Chu Ming’s attack, Qin Sisi quickly turned around to handle the two golden puppets.

She initially thought that these two golden puppets would be like the Bronze Giant she encountered during the final assessnt, relying on their physical toughness and only using physical attacks.

But what surprised her next was the agility of these golden puppets; they were not just physically tough but could also flexibly use Magic skills to cast spells.

Facing two opponents, Qin Sisi was flustered, her forehead breaking out in a cold sweat.

The worst-case scenario concocted by the fatty boss was to have the two golden puppets entangle Qin Sisi, so they could take the opportunity to escape.

However, upon seeing Qin Sisi’s frantic attempt to cope, they suddenly didn’t want to flee anymore. It seed this girl wasn’t so tough after all, and since their objective was to kill her, why would they let go of such an opportunity?

If they didn’t complete the mission, they might be punished upon return, and the boss was reluctant to abandon the two golden puppets he had created with so much effort.

Chu Ming, having neutralized the poison in his body, rushed to the fatty boss and said, "Fifth Brother, we should get going! The thunder just now was too loud, the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle will send people here soon."

The fatty boss, with a grim face, said, "We’re not short on ti. Let’s all attack together and aim to end the battle within five minutes."

After saying that, he "whooshed" as he raised a black machete and, along with the two golden puppets, launched an attack on Qin Sisi.

Chu Ming had no choice but to pick up his Longsword again and join the fatty boss in besieging Qin Sisi.

Outnumbered four to one, although Qin Sisi was in the air and had so advantage from the high ground, facing the encircling formidable enemies, she almost had no power to counterattack and could only rely on her Wings of Rainbow to dodge nimbly in all directions.

In her hasty dodging, she managed to shoot out a few Fireballs, but they did little damage to the enemies.

The fatty boss, eager to escape, beca increasingly aggressive. A machete swung fiercely, driving wave after wave of blade shadows that relentlessly sliced towards Qin Sisi.

The unsuccessful blade shadows fell on nearby buildings and trees, causing a ss.

Qin Sisi dodged several slashes, but the last one caught her slightly off pace and she took a heavy hit to her legs from the sharp shadows.

She cried out in pain; the pain caused her to lose balance and she could no longer control her Wings of Rainbow with ease, making it even more strenuous to cope with attacks from all directions.

Qin Sisi was not recklessly impulsive; she had already prepared an escape route. If truly overpowered, she could only use the Substitute Doll strategy again, letting it take the brunt of the attacks while her real body could take the chance to escape.

However, the Substitute Doll could only be used three tis, and using it twice in the sa place made Qin Sisi quite reluctant, but in a critical mont, she couldn’t worry about that anymore.
