Chapter 923: 923

Nine students arrived at Tiantu Mountain, where Teacher Taitan had already set up the practice field in the open wilderness.

The first lesson of the Earth Magic Course practiced the Circular Burrow Escape Skill, the second lesson practiced the Linear Burrow Escape, and this lesson was to practice the Broken Line Burrow Escape.

In front of Teacher Taitan, there were two rows of small trees hanging with colorful markers, ten in each row. The students needed to perform a "zigzag" movent using the Burrow Escape between the two rows, and each ti they reached a small tree, they had to erge and pull off a marker from the tree.

Each small tree had markers of different colors hung on it; after completing the zigzag movent, they then had to use the Linear Burrow Escape to return to the starting point and hand over ten different colored markers to Teacher Taitan as a sign of completing the trial.

The task for this lesson was twenty tis, the sa for everyone.

Taitan also introduced a new requirent: during the Broken Line Burrow Escape, one could erge occasionally to check the path and adjust the direction, but when returning using the Linear Burrow Escape, one must not look out and could only rely on their own sense to return. One should jump out of the ground only after feeling they had reached the starting point.

He had drawn a white line at the starting position, where the students were to depart. Upon returning, the spot where they erged also needed to exceed this line to be considered officially complete.

If one erged before reaching this line, the trial would be considered a failure.

Upon hearing Teacher Taitan’s requirent, the expressions of the nine people grew much heavier. This requirent was obviously much stricter than the previous two, and there was a possibility of failing at the last mont.

Fortunately, this ti, Teacher Taitan did not include a demonic beasts segnt. The first lesson involved Unihorn Raging Rhinoceroses, and the second lesson involved Tiger head Black Bees, both of which were fierce and difficult to handle. Finally, this lesson did not require facing those fierce beasts.

After the training started, the nine students quickly gathered their Earth Attribute Magic Powers and almost simultaneously burrowed into the soil.

They started at the sa ti, but soon gaps began to appear during the burrowing process.

Yun Cheng was in the lead, followed closely by Qing Pu and Li Li, then Ya Ling and Qin Sisi, followed by Wen Xuan and Xiao ng, with An Yun and Chu Ming at the rear.

The shape of the zigzag seed simple, but it was actually easy to misjudge the direction during the actual burrowing because there was an angle between the two marker-hanging trees. In the dark soil, this angle was very tricky to handle.

The result of the first trial made Qin Sisi very frustrated; she was afraid she had not crossed that white line when returning. In her Burrow Escape, she deliberately advanced a bit further.

When she gritted her teeth and jumped out of the soil, she found that she was still about a ter away from the white line.

It turned out that because she was too nervous, her direction shifted during the straight-line movent, and her final direction of travel was almost parallel to the white line. Thus, even though she had burrowed a long distance, she still hadn’t crossed the white line, and the trial failed.

Qin Sisi sighed in frustration, silently recalled the whole Burrow Escape process, and then returned to the starting point to burrow into the soil again for her second trial.

In fact, not just Qin Sisi, aside from Yun Cheng, the others encountered various issues during their trials as well.

After nurous Burrow Escapes in total darkness, even Yun Cheng was covered in a lot of soil, and the others had all turned into mud figures.

By the afternoon, the trials were finally nearing their end.

Yun Cheng was unquestionably in first place, followed by the three high-level magic teachers Qing Pu, Li Li, and Ya Ling. Qin Sisi was fifth, exactly in the middle position.

This ranking wasn’t great, but Qin Sisi wasn’t too dissatisfied; after all, Yun Cheng’s intrinsic attribute was the Earth Attribute, so she definitely couldn’t compare with him.

The other three were all high-level magic teachers, and there was definitely a difference in their levels. Qin Sisi knew she had to keep working hard to narrow the gap with them as much as possible.

After class, everyone imdiately returned to their dormitories to bathe, change clothes, and do laundry.

The three-day rest period was approaching, and everyone’s mood involuntarily relaxed quite a bit.

Qin Sisi used the downti in the evening to forge all the raw iron stored in her storage ring into longswords, preparing to take them to the Testing Gold Pavilion the next day to sell, and also to buy so more raw iron.

The next day, when Qin Sisi finished packing her things and was about to call Xiao ng to accompany her, she stepped out of her door and looked up to find Yun Cheng and Xiao ng waiting for her not far from her door.

Seeing Qin Sisi co out, Xiao ng happily approached, saying crisply, "Sister Sisi, are you going to sell swords? We will accompany you."

While saying this, Xiao ng linked arms with Qin Sisi and walked over to Yun Cheng.

Yun Cheng smiled and said, "Sister Sisi, if you ever leave the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, I must stay close to you at all tis."

Xiao ng also nodded and added, "Yeah, I must stick close too."

Qin Sisi was suddenly fed a mouthful of dog food (taphor for public affection) unexpectedly, feeling a mixture of laughter and tears.

However, she thought about it and figured it must be Ye You’s arrangent. It was better to have two people accompanying her than being alone; it was much safer.

Thus, the three of them walked together down the long corridor out of the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, and in the bustling street, Yun Cheng vigilantly looked around, his nose also keenly capturing any suspicious slls in the air.

Nevertheless, no incidents occurred along the way, and the three safely entered the large doors of Testing Gold Pavilion.

Fu Liuyou seed to have calculated the ti perfectly, as he was waiting inside the shop. As soon as he saw Qin Sisi and the others enter, he imdiately ca over with a smile and greeted, "Good morning, miss!"

"Good morning, Mr. Fu," Qin Sisi smiled back.

She was very satisfied with Fu Liuyou’s way of addressing her; she had once asked Fu Liuyou to keep her identity and na confidential, showing that Fu Liuyou had taken the matter to heart.

After exchanging polite greetings, Qin Sisi cut straight to the point and took out the longswords she had forged over the past half-month for Fu Liuyou to see.

Fu Liuyou looked them over and praised, "Miss, your craftsmanship has improved again. Congratulations."

Qin Sisi gave a wry smile and said, "Mr. Fu, there’s no need to be polite. I know my own level."

Fu Liuyou chuckled and said, "How about this? We’ll raise the price by five low-grade Spirit Stones for each sword, making it thirty-five low-grade Spirit Stones each."

Qin Sisi wasn’t too concerned about the price of the longswords anymore; after all, they were relatively cheap items, and the difference wouldn’t be much. So she quickly agreed to Fu Liuyou’s offer.

The two of them imdiately conducted the transaction, settling the paynt cleanly and efficiently.

Fu Liuyou was very pleased with Qin Sisi’s straightforward nature, so he directly credited her with the fifteen pounds of raw iron she would need for the next half month, saying it was too troubleso to calculate each ti and they could just settle it together the next ti she bought swords.

Qin Sisi didn’t want to fuss over these small amounts of money, so she just thanked Fu Liuyou, accepted the raw iron, and left.
