Chapter 904: Chapter 904: The Best of Us
The two sat at the table and dined together, but most of the ti, Ye You was watching Qin Sisi eat, constantly pushing food towards her. Qin Sisi was clearly full, yet under Ye You’s persuasion and coaxing, she drank another bowl of soup.
Qin Sisi touched her belly and complained to Ye You with a stare: "I’m almost stuffed."
Ye You smiled and said: "You’re too thin; you should eat more and gain so weight. You’d look even prettier."
"I don’t believe you!" Qin Sisi gave Ye You an annoyed glare, her cute and silly deanor causing waves of affection in Ye You’s heart.
Ye You couldn’t help but stand up, pulling Qin Sisi to sit by the bed, his palm on her cheek, and softly said: "Let
see your wound."
Qin Sisi was taken aback for a mont, her face blushing as she whispered back: "It’s not necessary; it’s already fine."
"Let
take a look." Ye You, however, was insistent.
"Really, it’s not necessary." Qin Sisi kept declining. The wound was on the inner side of her shoulder, and it required loosening her clothes. Despite their intimacy, she was not comfortable being so exposed.
Ye You raised an eyebrow and suddenly leaned in to sweep Qin Sisi into a horizontal carry, carefully laying her on the bed, his voice ambiguously saying: "If you refuse, I’ll have to do it myself. Don’t bla
if I tear your clothes."
Qin Sisi’s face grew even redder, knowing well that she couldn’t escape. After hesitating for a while, she bit her lip and slowly began to undo the buttons at the front of her garnt.
Ye You’s gaze deepened, resting on the front of Qin Sisi’s chest.
Qin Sisi undid two buttons and then pointed to her right shoulder, her face blushing as she quietly said: "Here."
"Mhm." Ye You responded lowly, lifting his hand to pinch the corner of Qin Sisi’s clothes, slowly pulling them aside.
The first thing that caught his eye was a small patch of light purple. Ye You forced himself to look away, to Qin Sisi’s shoulder.
After treatnt from Teacher Ru Lin, the wound had completely healed, leaving virtually no scars. However, upon closer inspection, there was still an irregular mark slightly darker than the surrounding skin.
Teacher Ru Lin had ntioned, full recovery would take so ti, and only a few days had passed so far.
Ye You gently caressed the small scar with his fingertips, a faint heartache spreading through his heart, like the persistent fine rain of autumn.
Ye You’s touch sent waves of tingling sensations across Qin Sisi’s skin and deep into her heart. She turned her head away, biting her lip tightly, her cheeks as red as the twilight sky.
After a mont, Qin Sisi, trying to restrain the palpitations in her heart, asked softly: "Is it okay now?"
Ye You didn’t speak, his gaze gradually darkening as he leaned down and tightly embraced Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi’s body shivered, and she hastily pushed Ye You away.
"Don’t move, let
hold you for a while." Ye You’s voice was very soft, like a light feather landing in Qin Sisi’s heart.
In the end, Qin Sisi relented; she no longer struggled and quietly let Ye You hold her.
Such a sweet, tender, and tranquil mont—wasn’t it exactly what she longed for?
In the depths of midnight dreams, utterly exhausted, she had also intensely craved Ye You’s warm embrace. Now that they could finally be together, it was naturally a mont to be cherished.
They said nothing, their deep-seated yearning, the hardships of their practice, and those intimate matters not for outsiders—they both understood and felt each other’s pain, even without words, clearly perceiving those feelings.
It was as if a gust of spring breeze had suddenly blown by, wrapping the two in warmth, endless as springti itself; or as though lying on soft white clouds, gently floating in the azure sky with the light wind.
The clouds seed to turn into sweet cotton candy, surrounded by blooming flowers of vibrant colors, releasing their rich fragrance.
In the evening, Ye You let go of Qin Sisi; his transformation ti was nearing, and he didn’t want to abruptly turn into a cat during such a sweet and warm mont, forced to leave Qin Sisi’s side; it would make him feel quite undignified.
He helped Qin Sisi sit up, tenderly straightening her clothes, then got off the bed, took the coat hanging on the chair, put it on, and turned to look at Qin Sisi, his eyes still reflecting a trace of bewildernt.
Qin Sisi took a wooden comb and sat at the edge of the bed, slowly combing her slightly disheveled hair, stealing glances at Ye You now and then, her face full of shyness.
Ye You did not break his promise; from beginning to end, he refrained from anything excessive, sweet yet restrained.
But in their close embrace, Qin Sisi suddenly felt the sensation of being "husband and wife."
Ye You just stood beside her, watching Qin Sisi comb her hair. After a while, he took the wooden comb from her hand, sat next to her, and started to comb her hair.
Qin Sisi’s hair was long and supple, the wooden comb smoothly running through it, her black hair cascading down like a dark waterfall.
Ye You used the comb from her scalp to the ends, hair thinning toward the bottom; as he combed, wisps of her black silky hair floated down and settled.
Ye You felt as if those fine strands of hair had fallen upon his heart, leaving indelible traces.
He turned Qin Sisi’s shoulder towards him, his voice gentle as he said: "Once my curse is fully lifted, let’s get married."
Qin Sisi looked at Ye You in surprise, then, after the initial shock, her heart swelled with sweetness. She couldn’t help but smile and lowered her head coyly.
Ye You could already tell the answer from Qin Sisi’s expression but wasn’t completely satisfied. He wanted to hear her consent personally, so he leaned in closer and urged: "Would that be okay?"
Qin Sisi paused, then nodded slightly, softly responding: "Mhm."
Only then did Ye You truly rejoice, pulling Qin Sisi into his embrace once more, his voice a little excited as he whispered in her ear: "You’re mine."
Qin Sisi’s heart raced with shyness, yet she was more joyous. She blinked lightly and whispered in Ye You’s ear: "And you?"
Ye You let go of Qin Sisi, cupping her face in his hands, and countered earnestly: "I am yours, too."
He paused, seemingly to reassure Qin Sisi further, and added: "Yours alone."
Their eyes t, as if through their bright gazes, they could see deep into each other’s souls.
My heart holds only you, and your heart holds only ; this is the best version of us.
