Chapter 885: Chapter 885: The Falling Cloud Piercing Crane

Qin Sisi looked at Qing Pu and the Cloud Piercing Crane he had just struck down. She saw Qing Pu run over, grab the crane, and then, taking out a rope, securely tied it up.

There was a black mark on one of the Cloud Piercing Crane’s wings, probably left by the Dingze Thunder strike.

Qin Sisi noticed that Qing Pu already had four securely tied Cloud Piercing Cranes by his side, it seed those were his achievents.

She thought for a mont and asked Wuting, "We don’t need to kill the Cloud Piercing Cranes, do we?"

Wuting curled his lips, disdainfully saying, "With your beginner’s level, you think you can kill a Cloud Piercing Crane? It’s already great that you can strike one down."

Qin Sisi’s face turned slightly red, and she awkwardly scratched her head and looked up at the flying Cloud Piercing Cranes in the sky.

Wuting continued, "Cloud Piercing Cranes have low attack power and are quite timid, but they have strong defensive power and are very fast, not so easy to strike. Go over there and find a spot to practice, and be sure to keep distance from other students. You haven’t mastered controlling the power of Dingze Thunder yet, don’t accidentally injure soone."

"Yes," Qin Sisi responded and walked towards the direction Teacher Wuting had pointed.

"Rember to tie it up and show

after you strike it down, don’t let it escape," Wuting instructed from behind.

"Got it," Qin Sisi turned her head to nod at Teacher Wuting and continued walking forward without stopping.

She chose a relatively open area, knowing her own limits. She was aware that her control over Dingze Thunder was weaker than other students practicing nearby, so it was better to keep so distance from them.

The grass of Crane Valley’s valley floor was uniformly lush and verdant, echoing the azure sky above. Qin Sisi could see Qing Pu to her right and Li Li to her left, both earnestly practicing.

Looking up, she could see Cloud Piercing Cranes occasionally flying by, sotis even in groups of three or five.

Qin Sisi found it odd that despite so many people using magic skills to attack the Cloud Piercing Cranes, they still flew and hovered in this area.

Unknown to her, the skies of Crane Valley were magically endowed with taboos; the cranes couldn’t simply fly wherever they wanted. Different levels of Demonic Beasts were designated different living areas for the convenience of student training.

Moreover, if the Cloud Piercing Cranes of Crane Valley weren’t excessively abundant beyond necessity,

Of course, this situation was a unique protective chanism of the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle. In outside gathering places of Demonic Beasts, it was a genuine case of natural selection, survival of the fittest.

Qin Sisi looked up to the sky, searching for the silhouettes of Cloud Piercing Cranes. When a group flew overhead, she quickly channeled her magic power and released the Dingze Thunder magic skill.

Surely she could strike down at least one of the many Cranes!

However, the result was disappointing; she was a bit too slow. The lightning and thunder of the Dingze Thunder ford behind the group of cranes, striking empty air.

The few cranes, startled by the thunder behind them, trembled briefly, then furiously flapped their wings to speed away from the dangerous area.

Qin Sisi watched helplessly as the cranes flew farther away, feeling frustrated and helpless. She tugged at the corner of her mouth and continued to look up, searching for another target.

After countless failures, Qin Sisi gradually got a grasp of the flight speed of the Cloud Piercing Cranes and the speed at which she could gather magical power. Finally, she managed to strike a crane’s wing.

She excitedly cheered, full of anticipation as she looked at the injured Cloud Piercing Crane.

The Cloud Piercing Crane, struck in the wing, lost balance and rapidly plumted, but after falling half the distance, it unsteadily flew up again.

Qin Sisi’s Dingze Thunder power was insufficient, and the defensive power of the Cloud Piercing Crane was high, so the injury wasn’t severe, and it continued to fly, maintaining its balance and no longer falling.

Qin Sisi experienced a vain joy and sighed deeply.

She rested briefly, adjusted her emotions, and then continued searching the sky for targets.

Today her task quota was only one, and if she fell behind those classmates who had ten, it would be truly miserable.

After failing to hit or bring down her target a dozen tis, Qin Sisi finally struck the back of a Cloud Piercing Crane with lightning, bringing it down.

The Cloud Piercing Crane lost balance and plumted fast, finally landing on the lush, soft grass.

Qin Sisi ran toward the stricken Cloud Piercing Crane. It seed to be a juvenile, smaller than the others, and was flapping its wings, trying to stand.

Mimicking Qing Pu’s actions, Qin Sisi set its body upright, noting a distinct black mark on its back, likely from her Dingze Thunder.

Thinking further, she also imitated Qing Pu by retrieving a rope from her storage ring, tying up the Cloud Piercing Crane, then carrying it to find Teacher Wuting.

Teacher Wuting had just checked on three students who were struck by lightning at Perak Stone and was returning to Crane Valley; the two t at the entrance of Crane Valley.

Taking the Cloud Piercing Crane from Qin Sisi, Teacher Wuting nodded in approval and praised, "Well done."

Qin Sisi smiled shyly, finding the sensation of being praised by her teacher quite delightful.

She gathered her courage and asked, "Teacher Wuting, how many Cloud Piercing Cranes do I need to bring down in the next class?"

This concern weighed on her heart. If others had ten cranes this class, and if the next class required twenty, then she would need to bring down eighty, a feat Qin Sisi doubted her ability to achieve.

Teacher Wuting raised an eyebrow and said, "I was just about to discuss this with you. You are one class behind other students, so you need to use the rest day to catch up. Your task quota remains ten Cloud Piercing Cranes. If you can bring down more during the redial class, then we can reduce the quota for the next assignnt."

Qin Sisi paused slightly, lost in thought, then inquired, "Is my assignnt quota for the next class eighty cranes?"

Teacher Wuting silently nodded, feeling in his heart that such training intensity was perhaps too much for Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi gritted her teeth and said, "Alright, I’ll co during the rest day for redial class."

"Hmm," Teacher Wuting acknowledged. "I’ll give the order, and you can co directly to Crane Valley. No one will stop you."

"Thank you, Teacher. I’ll be on my way now," Qin Sisi greeted Teacher Wuting and turned toward the exit of Tianlei Mountain.

Throughout her journey, her emotions fluctuated between agitation and heaviness. On one hand, she told herself the task was daunting and she must strive hard; on the other hand, it felt like an impossible task, overwhelming her with its weight.
