Chapter 880: Chapter 880: Edge of Life and Death

Qin Sisi’s Vigor Gold Knife was as swift as her words, and the Wind Spirit Eagle didn’t take it seriously; however, it also didn’t want to get hit effortlessly, so it montarily ceased its attack on Li Li and turned towards Qin Sisi, bringing its few-ters-long wings forward to form a defensive stance.

The sharpness of the Moon Spirit Golden Feather rged with the might of the Vigor Gold Knife and slamd onto the Wind Spirit Eagle. Brown feathers fell in pieces, instantly swept away by the fierce wind, leaving no trace.

Following another shrill shriek, the Wind Spirit Eagle, now wounded, pushed its wings forward in the direction of the attack, forcing an overwhelming gust at Qin Sisi, who found it impossible to resist.

Her body, like a thin sheet of paper, was blown afar before she heavily fell onto the hard ground, rolling several tis before coming to a stop.

Qin Sisi struggled to her feet, feeling so pain in her skin, but her organs and bones were mostly unhard.

As she fell midair, she quickly released Earth Attribute Magic Power, enveloping her body to lessen the impact with the ground, preventing serious injury.

The Wind Spirit Eagle, seeing Qin Sisi fall, assud she was severely hurt and decided to ignore her for the ti being, turning back to attack Li Li, aiming to eliminate one before dealing with the other.

Li Li, initially overjoyed at Qin Sisi’s arrival, quickly beca anxious when Qin Sisi was struck down minutes later. Despite her worry, she could only summon a shield to cope with the ongoing attack from the Wind Spirit Eagle.

However, blood was continuously flowing from her wounds, and she could feel her magic power rapidly depleting, the scene before her growing more and more blurred.

Recognizing that Li Li was nearly incapable of fighting, the Wind Spirit Eagle stopped its wind assault and charged toward her like an arrow released from its bow, ready to pierce through Li Li’s body with its hard beak.

Li Li knew her magic shield couldn’t withstand the body slam of a Fourth Order Demonic Beast and hurriedly retreated, but her pace was clearly slower than the Wind Spirit Eagle’s attacking speed.

Just as the massive, powerful body of the Wind Spirit Eagle was about to collide with Li Li’s slender form, a figure suddenly darted out of the side, its wings vividly colored and dazzling against the dark night sky.

"Magic Fla lting Gold!" Qin Sisi cried out sharply, rapidly forming hand seals and forcefully pushing both palms forward, sending a large fireball burning with golden flas roaring towards the Wind Spirit Eagle.

Focused on ramming into Li Li, the Wind Spirit Eagle was moving too fast to dodge, and the golden fireball directly struck its head.

The burning pain slowed the Wind Spirit Eagle’s motion, but inertia still carried it forward a distance, its hard beak stabbing into the inside of Qin Sisi’s left shoulder.

Qin Sisi groaned in pain as her body was flung by the impact, helplessly retreating rapidly.

This ti was different from before; previously she was blown away by the Wind Spirit Eagle’s wind attack, but this ti she was hit directly and also injured. Qin Sisi couldn’t control her form or summon her magic power in ti.

Seeing Qin Sisi in danger, Li Li quickly flew to support her, but her strength was nearly exhausted and couldn’t withstand the trendous impact force, causing both of them to fall downward, crashing onto the ground.

The fierce collision with the ground made both feel as if their bodies had fallen apart, every organ aching intensely.

Qin Sisi, mustering strength, lifted her head and saw blood spilling from the corner of Li Li’s mouth, indicating internal injuries, which made her extrely anxious.

Her gaze turned forward, hoping to see if her Magic Fla lting Gold had disabled the Wind Spirit Eagle from combat, but she was disappointed. The disparity in levels wasn’t sothing she could overco.

The Wind Spirit Eagle’s head had been hit by Magic Fla lting Gold, almost all of its feathers were scorched off, falling in pieces, revealing comical pink skin on its head and neck.

Yet, the damage was only to the feathers and appearance; its body wasn’t gravely injured. Enraged by its now-ruined dignified feathers, the Wind Spirit Eagle roared furiously toward the sky and, flapping its wings, charged once again at Qin Sisi.

They had no place to retreat; Li Li barely had the strength left even to stand. Helpless, Qin Sisi had to use her magic power to conjure Solid as Golden Soup, forming a shield in front of them, hoping it might fend off the Wind Spirit Eagle’s attack.

But she knew very well, how could an injured third-order magic guide possibly withstand the full assault of a fourth-order demonic beast? She only hoped to buy so ti, to hold on until reinforcents arrived.

The Wind Spirit Eagle was upon them in an instant, its hard beak pecking at the shield of Solid as Golden Soup. Qin Sisi placed her palm on the shield, continuously pouring in her magic power, her body growing increasingly unable to hold up.

A hint of triumph flashed in the eyes of the Wind Spirit Eagle; with a flap of its wings, it increased the force of its assault.

Then a "crash" was heard, and countless cracks spread across the shield of Solid as Golden Soup. Monts later, it shattered completely, disappearing without a trace.

The Wind Spirit Eagle pressed its advantage, its formidable body slamming fiercely into Qin Sisi. This ti, it was confident that it would crush this human into bits.

Was this the end?

Qin Sisi asked herself, a vision of Ye You’s face suddenly appearing before her eyes.

"Xiao Hei..." Qin Sisi murmured to herself, a sudden inspiration flashing through her mind as she hurriedly bit her tongue hard, the taste of blood spreading in her mouth.

Before leaving, Ye You had given her three gifts: a storage ring, the Moon Spirit Golden Feather, and a pearl bracelet.

Ye You had said that the pearl bracelet could block a fatal injury once, and that she must use it at the most critical mont.

Now, with death looming, she had no choice but to use it.

Just as Qin Sisi was about to spit the blood from her tongue onto the pearl bracelet on her wrist, a figure streaked past like an arrow, swiftly pulling Qin Sisi away from the assault of the Wind Spirit Eagle.

The Wind Spirit Eagle was montarily stunned, and by the ti it realized, the human it was sure to kill was gone.

Both shocked and furious, it turned its head to see an older man helping the person it had aid to kill to the ground, evidently the reinforcents of its opponent.

The one who rescued Qin Sisi was naturally Di Sa, who had seen the firework signal Qin Sisi had sent out and had hurried over, arriving just in ti to see the Wind Spirit Eagle breaking Qin Sisi’s shield and trying to kill her. Di Sa hastened to intervene.

Frustrated by repeated obstructions, the Wind Spirit Eagle grew utterly infuriated and charged at Di Sa without a second thought.

Di Sa was a Level Five Magic Spirit and had reached a high-grade level; naturally, he had no fear of this fourth-order demonic beast.

He set Qin Sisi aside and then turned to face the battle, forming seals with his hands and conjuring a large blue light ball, which he hurled at the Wind Spirit Eagle.

The Wind Spirit Eagle could no longer advance. The light ball unleashed a burst of fierce gales, rendering it unable to move.

It was filled with horror; as a wind attribute demonic beast, it was currently being restrained by wind magic, showing that the man’s wind magic was far superior to its own.

The Wind Spirit Eagle raised its bare head to look at the man, who appeared calm and composed, clearly not having exerted his full strength.

Fearful, knowing that continuing the fight recklessly could jeopardize its life, the Wind Spirit Eagle dared not continue the battle and turned, using the wind to attempt an escape.
