Chapter 847: Chapter 847 Surprise
Just as Qin Sisi had predicted, the Green Scale Horse, the insignia of the Panhu family, and the cargo atop the carriage were all used to deceive onlookers.
The Green Scale Horses trained by the Panhu family were exceptionally alert and could transport goods on their own without a driver, a fact well-known by many.
One could say the Panhu family was the personal guard of the Jiu Xi Royal Family. Ordinary people, upon seeing a Panhu family carriage—even one unaccompanied by a guard—would not dare entertain any sinister thoughts.
As the Green Scale Horse approached the northern gate of Scholar City, the guard there rely lifted the curtain to peek inside upon seeing it belonged to the Panhu family.
The several large boxes inside the carriage clearly displayed the carriage’s purpose. Such carriages appeared periodically, and the guards, now accustod, allowed it through swiftly.
Having exited the northern city gate, the Green Scale Horse, pulling the invisible Qin Sisi, continued forward, entering the realm of the Holy Forest.
Situated to the northwest of Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, the Holy Forest served as the primary field training area for the castle’s students. It was also the boundary between Scholar City and the Qingming Family’s Crystal City.
Within the Holy Forest, nurous ferocious Demonic Beasts road, becoming more dangerous and higher level the deeper one went.
When students from Heavenly Magic God’s Castle conducted field training, they generally stayed near the outskirts of the Holy Forest, not venturing too deep.
About two hours into the Holy Forest, Qin Sisi, seated in the carriage, grew increasingly anxious and restless.
Where exactly was she headed? Was the person she was eting truly Ye You? Countless questions swirled in her mind.
Just as she could no longer restrain herself and considered stepping out of the carriage to check, the carriage stopped. A familiar voice softly called from outside, "Sisi, is that you?"
Qin Sisi’s body stiffened, and she quickly threw aside the Invisible Grass and leapt out from behind the curtain.
Standing beside the carriage was a figure in black, with a clear and handso appearance and lustrous purple eyes—it was Ye You, the man she yearned for day and night.
Qin Sisi manifested as well, her long hair fluttering, her face unpainted, and her purple gown emphasizing her graceful figure.
Their eyes t, both filled with profound longing and tender emotions, stuck in their throats.
The next second, they both stepped forward and embraced tightly.
Though only separated for twelve days, it felt like an eternity, as if they hadn’t seen each other for ages.
Qin Sisi wrapped her arms around Ye You’s waist, burying her head in the familiar embrace, her eyes slightly moist.
Ye You’s chin rested on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, greedily inhaling the faint fragrance of her hair, as if the scene before him was but an illusion that would soon vanish.
After a long while, they slowly parted, their gazes towards each other imnsely gentle.
"You..." Both spoke simultaneously, uttering the sa word, then paused together, inquiringly looking at each other before bursting into laughter.
Ye You playfully pinched Qin Sisi’s nose, saying softly, "You go first."
Qin Sisi curved her lips gently, asking quietly, "Weren’t you out for field training?"
Ye You nodded in response, "Yes, isn’t this the wilderness?"
Qin Sisi blinked, sensing sothing amiss. After a pause, she continued, "This place seems quite close to Heavenly Magic God’s Castle. Does that an we can et every rest day?"
Ye You’s expression faltered for a mont, and he spoke with difficulty, "Sisi, I..."
Ye You hesitated, not knowing how to explain to Qin Sisi that his staying here was just to see her once more before he would soon leave the Holy Forest for the southern region.
The two had known each other for a long ti, and even without Ye You saying anything, Qin Sisi had guessed so of it.
She took the initiative to hold Ye You’s hand, her tone gentle, "It’s okay, your training is what matters. It doesn’t matter if we see less of each other."
By the end of her words, Qin Sisi’s voice had involuntarily beco quieter. Only she knew how much she missed Ye You. How could it not matter when every reunion after parting brought imnse joy?
Ye You’s eyes deepened, and he hugged Qin Sisi tightly again, his large palm covering the back of her head and gently stroking her soft, long hair.
After a mont, Ye You’s embrace loosened slightly. He curled his fingers and gently lifted Qin Sisi’s chin and kissed her fiercely.
The depth of longing was ultimately expressed through physical language.
Ye You kissed her sowhat roughly; Qin Sisi instinctively wanted to struggle and dodge, but the more she struggled, the tighter Ye You held her, as if trying to rge her into his own body.
When Ye You finally, reluctantly, let go of Qin Sisi, her face was flushed, her body weak. She leaned helplessly against Ye You, gasping slightly.
Ye You, realizing he had been a bit too intense, gently soothed Qin Sisi for a while, then took her hand and led her into the cave where he was temporarily residing.
The cave was sowhat damp, and faint sounds of water could be heard; there must be an underground river running through it.
Ye You lived near the entrance, where a flat stone platform, covered with soft feathers likely taken from a Bird Demonic Beast, was situated against the wall.
Qin Sisi jokingly said, "This cave is nice; it even has a bed."
Ye You pinched her hand, smiling, "There isn’t a bed. Knowing you were coming, I specifically crafted this stone platform using Earth Magic."
Qin Sisi looked at Ye You in surprise and asked, "Then where did you sleep before?"
Ye You pointed to a corner, "Over there."
Qin Sisi turned to look, where small stones were piled into a tiny circle, also lined with soft feathers.
Because Ye You still turned into a cat at night, a small corner was enough for his resting place.
Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel heartache, thinking that Ye You could have fully recovered, but because he gave her half of a Jade lting Pill, the curse was only half undone.
She turned and hugged Ye You, wanting to say sothing, yet feeling that no words could adequately express her inner emotions, so she just remained silent.
Ye You smiled, gently cradling Qin Sisi’s face, and softly said, "It’s almost noon. Let’s eat sothing first; I’ll take you out to hunt Demonic Beasts in the afternoon."
Qin Sisi was startled and stood up straight, asking in disbelief, "Can I... really do it?"
"Why not?" Ye You raised his eyebrows slightly, "Aren’t you a magic instructor? Second and Third Order Demonic Beasts shouldn’t be a problem, right?"
"If that’s the case, then wouldn’t you be unable to train?" Qin Sisi looked up at Ye You.
Ye You’s magic level had already reached Level Five Magic Spirit, and for him, Second and Third Order Demonic Beasts were just trifles, not posing any challenge for training.
