Chapter 836: Chapter 836 The Secret of the Sun’s True Fire
The first class on Thunder Attribute magic ended amidst everyone’s surprise and disbelief regarding Qin Sisi.
After sending all the students away, Wu Ting was restless and sleepless, so he went to Tianhuo Mountain to find Huo Huan.
By this ti, it was already late at night, and Huo Huan had gone to bed, only to be woken up by Wu Ting.
Forced out of bed, Huo Huan appeared with a scowl on his face, and slapped Wu Ting on the head while grumbling, "Can’t a bachelor have any sense? A mont of spring night is worth a thousand gold, understand or not?"
Wu Ting cleared his throat awkwardly and explained, "I have sothing very important to tell you."
"Couldn’t it wait until dawn?" Huo Huan yawned.
"No, it couldn’t," Wu Ting replied without hesitation.
"Why not?" Huo Huan couldn’t understand what could be so urgent at Heaven Academy within Heavenly Magic God’s Castle.
"Because..." Wu Ting scratched his head and muttered, "Because I can’t sleep if I don’t say it."
Huo Huan rolled his eyes heavenward, sat down on a stone near the wall, and said helplessly, "Fine, you win, spit it out, what is it?"
Wu Ting sat down next to Huo Huan and said mysteriously, "Do you rember Qin Sisi, the one Lady Yeyou arranged to enter Heaven Academy?"
Huo Huan gave him a look and retorted, "Isn’t that obvious? I’ve already taught them, with only nine people, how could I not rember?"
Wu Ting asked indirectly, "So, what do you think of Qin Sisi’s magical talent?"
Huo Huan was about to answer when he suddenly sensed sothing was off, turned his head to look at Wu Ting, and countered, "What are you getting at?"
It was only then that Wu Ting spoke the plain truth, "Qin Sisi hasn’t activated the Thunder Attribute yet. Today, she touched the Perak Stone eleven tis, got struck by lightning eleven tis, and actually managed to activate the Thunder Attribute."
Huo Huan’s expression finally showed surprise. He stared at Wu Ting in disbelief, "Eleven tis?"
Wu Ting nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes, scary, right?"
"Pah!" Huo Huan spat, "That’s a good thing, you should call it a ’surprise’. Why does it sound so terrifying when you say it? Can’t you speak properly?"
Wu Ting, not good with words, was at a loss for a reply, then slapped his thigh exclaiming, "Alright, let’s call it a surprise. But think about it, who among ordinary people could withstand being struck by lightning eleven tis and still activate the Thunder Attribute in just one day?"
"It is a bit strange, could it possibly be..." Huo Huan mused and then suddenly understood Wu Ting’s implication, "Do you suspect she possesses Divine Fire as well?"
This ti, Wu Ting caught on, realizing, "You saw it earlier, didn’t you?"
Huo Huan shook his head in response, "But I can’t be sure; her fla is too strange, similar yet dissimilar, unless..."
Huo Huan’s voice trailed off, Wu Ting also lowered his voice, continuing, "Unless her Divine Fire hasn’t fully rged with her yet."
Huo Huan grew serious and pondered, "Among the Ninth Great Divine Flas of the Demon Sacred Realm, eight have known bearers. Only the Sun’s True Fire has been missing for many years, untraceable. Qin Sisi has only recently arrived in the Demon Sacred Realm, how could the Divine Fire end up in her hands?"
Wu Ting looked around before leaning in and whispering to Huo Huan, "I once heard Master Yipiao ntion in passing that thousands of years ago, there was a Demon Lord in the Demon Sacred Realm whose possession of the Divine Fire was the Sun’s True Fire. After ascending to Demon Lord, one could freely travel to other dinsions, and this Demon Lord went to the world of other dinsions, and for so reason, did not return. Perhaps at that ti, the Sun’s True Fire accompanied the Demon Lord to the world where Qin Sisi was and got passed down there, eventually winding up in her hands by a stroke of fate."
Huo Huan’s eyes widened, "Is that true?"
Wu Ting imdiately nodded, assuring that what he was saying was the absolute truth.
Huo Huan’s eyes darted around as he asked Wu Ting, "What’s the aning of telling
all this so late at night?"
Wu Ting hurriedly replied, "What I an is, should we... perhaps cultivate Qin Sisi more?"
Huo Huan frowned and said, "Another pointless statent. A person with Divine Fire, with the Wings of Rainbow, and deep-seated affection from the lady, wouldn’t you cultivate her well? Didn’t you just realize that?"
Wu Ting was at a loss for words, "I used to think that such an ordinary girl from the outside world was hardly a match for the lady."
Huo Huan slapped Wu Ting on the head and scolded, "How can you be so dense?"
Wu Ting rubbed his head, feeling aggrieved, "Why do you keep hitting ? It’s not just , actually, everyone else thinks the sa."
Huo Huan countered, "Others are others, you are you. We are from the Jiu Xi Royal Family, we must stand by Lady Yeyou’s side."
Wu Ting defended himself, "Of course, I stand by Lady Yeyou, which is exactly why I hope she finds a more suitable woman to be the Sage Queen; at least marrying into one of The Eight Great Families would help solidify her power."
"Tsk!" Huo Huan dismissed the notion, "The previous two Sage Rulers did marry into the Qing Ming Family. And then what? The tails of the Qing Ming Family almost reached the sky."
Wu Ting pondered for a while, silently nodding. Nevermind the others, Ya Ling’s arrogance was truly incorrigible.
Huo Huan patted Wu Ting’s shoulder and said, "Alright alright, let’s keep the Divine Fire a secret for now, lest soone targets her. Classes will be as usual. I see that Qin Sisi is fiercely determined, sowhat reminiscent of Lady Yeyou back in the day. Talent, well, it’s like being pregnant; given ti, it will show."
Wu Ting wanted to add more, but Huo Huan had already pulled him up and was pushing him out, "Alright, go, go, I need to return to sleep. If I don’t, my wife might suspect I’m having an affair."
Wu Ting closed his mouth, feeling gloomy. If he ended up causing trouble between a couple, his guilt would weigh heavily.
Huo Huan, yawning again, went back to bed. Just as he lay down, a slender arm reached over and yanked his ear.
"Ow... it hurts, my dear wife, have rcy!" Huo Huan winced in pain, begging for forgiveness.
Xiao Zhu’s voice, a mix of coyness and reprimand, buzzed in his ear, "Where did you run off to in the middle of the night? Keeping any secrets from ?"
"I dare not, absolutely dare not," Huo Huan vowed, pledging his loyalty.
Only then did Xiao Zhu let go, "Hmph," and said, "Make it clear, or you’ll sleep on the floor."
Huo Huan rubbed his reddened ear, embraced Xiao Zhu’s shoulders, sweet-talked her for a while until she was pleased, and then fully relayed his conversation with Wu Ting from earlier that night.
